I do not watch the show because the judge is Amit Kumar and his comments are hard for me to digest. He talks as if he is the be all and end all of singing while he cannot sing that well. I have heard him sing live on 2 occassions in mumbai and one was 10 years ago and one was 3 years ago.
What I saw was - He looses breath, has to talk to the audience mid-performance to cover up. Is out of sur and sings with an attitude as if he is the best. I have heard that he has a lot of alcohol but I dont know if this is true. Sorry Amit Kumar fans if I am sounding harsh but these are just my feelings.
I am just being critical of his singing. EVen listening to him on this show, he has so much of attitude. The way he gives comments to these people is also not justified. If wish some one asks him to sing the same song live on stage.
Even while elimination, it is he who decides. The other 2 judges comment but the final desicion rests on him. I wonder how can just one man be the judge.

Why did these guys not bring Asha Bhosle as a judge ! Even Manna Dey would have been better.

This is just my opinion please dont take it as generalisation. I am not wanting to hurt anyone here and if I have then I would like to appologise in advance. I know how passionate fans feel when their idol is criticised.

well i do agree that the show lacks quality, even with established singers for whatever reason
i also agree that amit kumar is inconsistent
but it could also be that our expectations from the show were a bit high to begin with, with all of us being kishoreda fans
it is quite difficult to match up to someone like him so i guess we shud all be a bit lenient and then listen to the songs and then we'll find it quite ok
and things are improving now, again whether that is cos of the challengers or not is debatable, but the fact is that the show is much better now than from where it started off
and where else can we hear so many lovely songs of kishoreda and none else, as a die hard kishoreda fan i absolutely love the choice of songs 😛
lastly amit kumar is only one who can provide all those little tid bits of info on kishoreda ... so just for that listen to his comments with a pinch of salt and then just forget them 😛
