June 18th Written Updt: Pankaj chooses the kid!

June 18, 2010 Written Update

KK wakes up, screaming for Jyoti. Padma rushes to his side to calm him down, but he continues yelling that Pankaj will take Jyoti away somewhere. Meanwhile Poonam is trying to call Sandeep but can't get through to him. Finally she does and Sandeep-Kabir explain that they went to Pankaj's house and Pankaj wasn't there and they are still looking for Jyoti. KK grabs the phone and tells them to file a missing persons case in the police station. Deepu and Kabir head over there.

Pankaj rushes to Jyoti and feels blood around her head. He calls his driver and both of them take Jyoti to the hospital. In the car, Pankaj talks to Jyoti and tells her that he won't let anything happen to their child. Jyoti calls out for Kabir, much to Pankaj's displeasure. (in your face, Pankaj!) Jyoti is taken to Jeevan hospital (guess its not ashirwad this time😆), and the doctors take her into the ER right away. Pankaj tells the receptionist that the patient's name is Jyoti Vashisht and he is her husband. The doctor asks how this happened and Pankaj lies that they were out together when she fell down. (Pankaj is a pathetic excuse for a man... he deserves to rot away in a hole for the rest of his life)

In the police station the inspector is wasting time interrogating some drunk guy. Deepu interrupts and tells the cop that he has an emergency and his sister is missing. The cop asks for a photo and Kabir takes out one to show him. The cop makes a sarcastic comment abt how Kabir had the photo instead of Jyoti's own brother. Kabir grabs the guy's collar and Deepu pulls Kabir back. (i found this ironic😆) The cop hands them some papers to fill out and Deepu tells him that they suspect Pankaj Vashisht, her ex-husband.

In the hospital the doctor's realize Jyoti is internally bleeding and alert Pankaj that they may only be able to save one life today. Pankaj at once tells them that he wants the child alive. (what a loserrr) The doctor asks if he's sure, since usually people pick their wife's life. Pankaj signs the paper and hands it over to the doctor. Pankaj turns on his phone and Neelam calls him right away. She asks where he is and CM takes the phone from her telling Pankaj to come back home and she will buy his happiness back for him. Pankaj makes a sarcastic comment to her abt how happiness cannot be bought and hangs up. He decides to call Jyoti's family, but then on remembering KK's words he hangs up. End.

Precap: Kabir and Deepu arrive at Jeevan hospital and asks the receptionist if a Jyoti Sharma is admitted. Pankaj is standing on the side but neither parties see each other and a nurse takes Pankaj towards Jyoti's room. Meanwhile the receptionist tells Deepu that there is no Jyoti Sharma admitted.

Inspite of padma telling jyoti not to keep any relationship with pankaj than also she went to meet him …..without informing any person in the family……leaving her cell in the house…..had she never thought that kk is still ill and if he will come to know about her going to meet pankaj will make him more tensed and if the situation occurs to make him admit in to the hospital then who will remain responsible for that……and again deepu will face expenses.padma had correctly said that jyoti herself is responsible to ruin her life.

When she took the decision to marry pankaj what mann ki sachchai did she see in pankaj?????? This mann ki sachchai to kill innocent person.

Pankaj is so horrible!! He is ready to kill his ex-wife for a kid he never wanted to accept the first time. I hope Jyoti does not die (I know she won't but sill praying in case CVs want more drama). Get the feeling that Pnkaj will anyway run with the baby. He is very cunning and I can't believe his charater as changed so much since the entry of his character

Today was easily one of the most blood boiling episodes in the serial. 😡 With others, I've tried to be facetious whenever possible, but today, one just couldn't!!! Even in comparison to St Brij, Pankaj is worse: when St Brij pushed Sushma down the stairs, w/o excusing him, one can make the case that he was fleeing a mob and Sushma stood in his way. But w/ Pankaj, he was stalking Jyoti and trying to make her his captive until he gave birth, and then he'd possibly release her.

I've commented in the other threads about Pankaj picking his baby to be saved ahead of Jyoti (as Anu pointed out, a ridiculous scenario that never happens: in the US, even anti-abortion groups who oppose abortion even in cases of rape/incest support it when it's the life of the mother.) What riled me even more was his reporting Jyoti's name as Jyoti Pankaj Vashist, which was giving false evidence. Incidentally another question - if a hospital had a pregnant patient in this condition who was in an emergency situation like this, you think they'd wait until the closest relative turns up? They'd operate right away to save the woman, not the baby, and worry about the bills & other details later.

I'm sorry to disagree w/ anyone in this forum who thinks otherwise, but now, I want this baby dead: please, no miracles this time, like in the case of Sushma (where too, I admit, I wanted the same thing at the time). That way, Pankaj will be emotionally traumatized by the 'ehsas' that he killed his own baby, and on top of that, criminal charges of manslaughter can be filed against him - if the baby survives, the charges he'll face will be just kidnapping, if that, and false witness in a hospital - dunno how serious a crime is that.

Let Jyoti & Kabir have their baby in future, not Pankaj's. As an added bonus, Kabir won't have to sweat over whether his family will accept this baby or not, and there will be no more reasons for Jyoti ever to see Pankaj nor Bhairavi again.

P.S. I want Ritu back. Please tell me her character hasn't gone the Sarika route 😭

Really horrible episode. Firstly Jyoti should have taken someone with her to meet Pankaj-if she did recieve all thoses threatening messages that Deepu commented on, then it was just dumb to go alone, especially being heavily pregnant. Secondly once she got to the deserted warehouse or whatever weren't there any alarm bells going off in her head? Why not phone him and tell him to meet her in a roadside coffee shop or something. And how did Pankaj manage to get up those stairs and into the deserted room by himself? Unless his driver took him there and then left him which is beyond weird! :S And why did no one think of phoning Pankaj's driver to find out where they were? Ugh-it's infuriating because the way they have portreyed Jyoti until now- with all her morals and whatever -would never go to meet someone that wasn't her husband, and moreover was someone else's husband in such a place.

Now whatever happens will probably be a hurdle for Jyoti-Kabir. If her baby dies, they will probably show her going into depression, or maybe they will show she can never have a child again, and if it lives then it will probably be custody battles with Pankaj and opposition from Kabir's family. Don't think Jyoti will die as they have been showing promos of the time switch with her saying she is beginning a new chapter of her life.

Yeah, someone ought to have had the presence of mind to call Pankaj's driver, maybe using Jyoti's phone, since she'd probably have had it. But even when Jyoti was married to Pankaj, she did go to see Brij several times re: Sushma. So this is not unusual for her.

But if the baby dies and she goes into depression, it will be one more challenge that she gets to face & overcome - like she did her divorce and other events before that. So looks like that's not a bad route. But if it lives, life will be hell for her w/ custody battles w/ Pankaj, where Kabir's family may not want to support Kabir on this. Therefore, they can get a better storyline if the kid dies. And if Pankaj is then either put away in jail, or gets killed, that will be a way to let Sarwar exit the show for good, and let it remain w/ Jyoti, Kabir, et al. Get rid of Bhairavi & Neelam as well after that, but bring back the gayab Vashists - MN&G, Suday & Pratik. Have them @ Jyotir's wedding, and then have them occasionally meet Jyotir. Oh, and maybe do a leap that gets rid of Padma, Dadi & KK. Also, don't want to see any more of Deepu, Poonam, Brij & Sushma.
