Part 1

Brij tells Jyoti that he knows he's wronged Sushma, Jyoti and ruined their entire family. He's neither worthy of their forgiveness, nor is he asking for it. 😕😕 Even God has chosen to give him an appropriate punishment. However, he does have one last wish b4 he dies - he wants an opportunity to hug his baby, or else, his soul will never be @ peace (what would he have done had Sushma obeyed him and aborted it?) He recalls how he used to abuse that baby. He then resumes coughing and almost collapses, and Jyoti catches him. Jyoti tells him that he's very ill, and Brij tells her that it doesn't make a difference to him, but appeals to her to talk to Sushma on his behalf. He tells her that he knows that Sushma will never forgive him, but if she makes his case, she might start trusting him. Without Sushma's permission, Brij can't even touch that kid. Jyoti tells him that at this point, it is too late for her to do anything: Sushma has decided to give her baby away to another couple. Both Brij & Kabir are shocked (it's her decision guys, so get over it!!!) Brij demands an explanation, and Jyoti tells him that Sushma believes that she can't give her kid a good education nor a good environment to grow up in. Therefore, she's promised a rich couple that she'd give it away to them as soon as it's born. Brij protests that she cannot do that, since it's his kid as well (I'm all for father's rights, but Brij ain't no father - he's just a sperm donor here) and that he is back to his senses. He promises to take care of the kid, and then collapses to the ground. (St Brij, just now you told Jyoti that you ain't worthy of forgivenness, so why are you trying to force Sushma to fulfill your desires? She owes you squat!!!)

Jyoti is alarmed and tries to pick him up, and Kabir rushes to his aid as well. Kabir gets him some water, and Brij says that he's responsible for his condition, and couldn't even support his wife. He doesn't even know if he can. Kabir tells him that he will be able to, but first he has to take care of himself and get himself back to normal. With his support, Jyoti can convince Sushma not to adopt that baby out (Kabir is getting wayyyy tooooo nosy - it's Sushma's decision what she wants to do, and Jyoti is under no obligation to persuade her to do anything. When Jyoti couldn't persuade her to leave the kid w/ the Sharma family, how can she convince her that Brij can raise him?) But for that to happen, Brij has to demonstrate that he can take care of himself, and for that, he has to take his meds, his food, etc. Brij assures him he'll do anything for Sushma. Jyoti is surprised @ this attitude, but doesn't look fully convinced. Kabir offers to drop him, but Brij tells him that he'll go himself - he has some important work b4 that. Kabir & Jyoti leave. After they leave, Brij remarks that despite everything that happened, Jyoti came (actually, Brij, she was forced to) she's made him aware of the light in all this darkness.

Jyoti & Kabir head to his jeep, and Jyoti gets flashbacks of Brij's abuse of Sushma. She tells Kabir that she doesn't know what she can do for Brij - something tells her that Brij is just getting his guilty conscience from everything he's done, but the other tells her that he's only regretting it now. Kabir asks her to ask herself whether a sinner who recognizes his sins and is actually suffering the consequences doesn't deserve a second chance (No, Kabir, and that's b'cos this is not a second, but something like an umpteenth chance. Question for you Kabir - don't you think that Sushma deserves a better life than what she's been living, now that she's cleaned up her act and is studying, and giving her kid a family that can raise it better than she can?) Jyoti asks what will she tell anyone @ home - he's seen how everybody hates him. And Sushma has been completely destroyed by him. She asks how will she make his case? Kabir tells her - just the way he did: Jyoti didn't trust him @ first either. (Jyoti should have just said - well, I've heard you, and the answer is no!!!) He says that he believed what he saw in Brij, and made the case accordingly, and she'd have to as well. He tells her that in the war b/w love & hate, love always wins (this is another standard piece of crap from these sitcoms: good always triumphing over evil ain't the same as love always triumphing over hate)

Part 2

Back @ home, Deepu is trying to explain his decision to KK. He points out that as a result of not being educated enough, he was not getting any jobs. He tried a lot. KK rolls up to him and assures him that he'll talk to Padma: once she thinks about it coolly, she'll come to terms w/ it. Poonam asks him whether she can make the case, instead of him? KK agrees.

Poonam enters Padma's room and asks her what was wrong w/ Deepu's decision? Deepu didn't become a ghar-jamai, did he? He'll only be working there. She reminds Padma what she had told Deepu - to accept any job that comes his way. So if he joined her dad, what was wrong? (Exactly!!!) She reminds Padma how she had once told Poonam that Sandeep would one day rise to great heights - this was just the start of it. She begs Padma not to be angry, or else Sandeep would quit this as well. She reminds Padma of his condition when he was unemployed - he had a very short fuse, and resumed drinking. She tells Padma that she's really scared of what he'd otherwise have done next, and Padma now looks up @ her, and is more concerned than angry. Finally, Poonam plays the trump card - she reminds Padma that for even small things, Deepu has to depend on Jyoti-didi, but now, neither Deepu, nor Poonam, nor even Padma would have to. (Poonam really knows how to hit the right buttons on Padma - far better than KK!!! She could also have told Padma, had she known, that Padma wouldn't have to depend on Jyoti or Kabir for Deepu's job) She finally encourages Padma to come out.

Padma & Poonam come out, and Deepu goes up to Padma and offers to quit, if she's so opposed to it. He won't be happy w/ the job if it makes Padma unhappy. Padma stops him and tells him that his happiness is her happiness (had you had this conversation the day it first surfaced, he'd have made some cash by now) She asks Poonam to get the mithais.

They are wondering why Jyoti is not home this late, when Jyoti arrives. Padma goes to her and demands to know where she's been this late - Kabir had come for her. She asks Jyoti whether she had quit, and Jyoti tells her that no, Kabir had apologized to her (somehow, I saw this as a non-sequitur). She says that Kabir didn't intentionally do what happened. She asks Padma to consider what all Kabir did for Sushma - why would he bring Brij over to hurt her? Padma asks her what sort of a person is she - to befriend the friend of a guy who ruined her life, and her sister's life? Jyoti tries to explain, but Padma stops her, and goes back to her room
😈 Jyoti looks helplessly @ Deepu, but he gives her a disgusted look and then too leaves, followed by Poonam.

Sushma gets up and walks up to Jyoti, and asks her what's she doing, and how does she trust Kabir over Sushma? She states that she'll go mad, and then she too leaves the room. (Actually, I don't blame any of these 4 - Padma, Deepu, Poonam or Sushma - for reacting the way they did. Jyoti should just ask Kabir to come and handle it, since he's soooo good)

Part 3

Jyoti knocks on Padma's door, trying to get her to listen, but Padma absolutely refuses. She yells @ her that she's not going to listen to anything she says. She accuses Jyoti of being determined to prove herself always right, and Padma always wrong. (Really, Jyoti could help herself by explaining this dynamic to Kabir, so that he does this shit-cleaning himself, instead of forcing Jyoti to do it) Jyoti is depressed, and goes back to the room, upset that nobody is willing to even hear her, although she concedes that she doesn't know whether what's happening is right or wrong. KK gives the 'mein hoon na', asking her to tell him whatever she wanted to.

At the Vashisth mansion, Brij is trying to get in, and the security guards tell him that he can't come. Brij tries to explain to them that Pankaj is his friend (make that was, since the last time they met, Pankaj banned him from ever returning). The guard tells him that everybody knows the Vashisths, so to get lost. Brij tries to explain again, so the guard tells him that he'll check. He calls Bhairavi over the intercom, and she arrives. She sees Brij & is angry. She tells him that she forbade him from coming, so why did he? He responds to meet Pankaj. She asks him why Pankaj, and Brij smiles & tells her that he can't tell her why. Bhairavi tells him that she expected just this from him, which is why she had these guards there. She asks him what's his game now? Brij tells her that he's there to atone for what he did, not blackmail her. She wouldn't be able to give him what he wants. Bhairavi tells him that there's no one home, and Brij tells her he'll wait. Bhairavi is furious, and tells him that she knows how to deal w/ people like him (I thought it was the other way around) She warns him to leave.

Brij tries to force his way in, and gets into a fight w/ the guards. Bhairavi tells him that she knows what he wants to say, but today, the truth about him, along w/ him himself, will be ended. The guards start beating him, and finally, Bhairavi asks them to stop, and take him far away and throw him anywhere. Brij starts yelling for Pankaj. Pankaj overhears him in his room, and recognizes his voice. He is surprised that Brij is there.

Comments

I'm even less for Brij being given any opportunity for one more reason - he now seems to have a shifting goalpost. First, his only desire was to just meet Sushma & apologize to her. Nothing wrong w/ that. Then it was to get together w/ her, and now he wants to hold his baby. And he has the gall to protest @ Sushma's decision to adopt out her baby, as though he has any right to it, and that pissant Kabir is supporting him even on getting Jyoti to talk Sushma out of giving that baby away.
A few things, you p🤬 - both Brij & Kabir: if Brij had had his way and if Sushma had gone ahead w/ the abortion, which initially she was going to, there would be no baby to be discussing here. Then, on top of that, Kabir wants Jyoti to hear Brij, but he hasn't bothered to hear Sushma's POV so far. Sushma knows that Sarika & her hubby will be better parents to that kid than even Sushma & Brij, which is why she's made this call. If she backtracks on that, it will be denying that baby a brighter future, and condemning him to Brij's shadows. And how dare Brij say anything about Sushma's rights @ this point: the main mistake Sushma has made to this day is not asking for a divorce while Brij was in jail.

I liked Poonam taking Padma aside and explaining things to her - even she, w/ all her people skill limitations, has figured that KK has minimal clout w/ Padma. She explained to him that Deepu wasn't going to be a ghar jamai, and then she used the trump card of them not being run by Jyoti. That was most definitely the final thing that sealed the deal.

And speaking of Jyoti, poor Jyoti!!! Just when Padma's mood is better, she has to come in w/ new stuff to spoil it. And this time, I don't blame Sushma @ all. In fact, I think that despite what Brij has told her, Jyoti should flatly tell Brij that all he is allowed to do is apologize to Sushma - nothing more, nothing less: no getting together to give it another try, no holding his baby - and yeah, Brij doesn't get to screw up that kid's future, which has only somehow been brightened by this selfless act of Sushma. No playing Brij's game - just tell him to apologize one last time, and then get lost!!! Tell him that Sushma will study, then find a job, and if she is lucky enough to find a decent guy who accepts her past, she'll marry that guy. Oh, and ask Brij for a divorce, as well as Sushma's necklace back, and return him that mangal-sutra in return - let him wear it 😉😛😆

And one thing about Brij - just b'cos he's become honest all of a sud
den, does it mean that his brains, which used to work overtime, is now on a sabatical? He goes @ a time when there is nobody @ the Vashisth home. He should have gone w/ Kabir, picking a time when everybody was there, and then asked to speak not to Pankaj, but to everybody. If done right, there would be no being kicked out, since Bhairavi wouldn't get to rule this unchallenged. I do hope that somehow, he gets to talk to Pankaj, maybe by phone. Once he does manage to get the truth out to Pankaj, I wouldn't mind Bhairavi's guards doing away w/ him.

Episode rating: 👍🏼👍🏼

Pluses: Poonam persuading Padma to accept Deepu's decision, Brij being beat up by Bhairavi's security

Minuses: Jyoti not refusing Brij's request to get Sushma back

First of all, how can Brij even think he can be a good guardian for the child? Does he really need to be reminded that he only has a couple weeks, maybe months to live??? And in the case that he does somehow live, he's going to take care of his family with the help of the construction job salary? What Sushma is doing is the best decision, and everyone in this show needs to understand that!
I hate how Kabir for some reason thinks Jyoti is GOD and can handle anything. He needs to stop butting into the Sharma affairs. Kabir wasn't there when Brij was forcing Sushma to dance in bars or beating her... so he shouldn't be talking like he's Brij's childhood buddy.
And Jyoti, Jyoti, Jyoti!!! I hate how pathetic her character was today. What was the need to beg to Padma to listen to her? Sushma's the one she needs to talk to, so she should just tell her what Brij said and get it over with. No need to persuade anyone.
Also wanted to comment on ur comment on ydays episode abt Deepu's job. I've heard of male interior designers before, but the funny part is that its not like any other job... you need to be creative in some way. All Deepu can do is deliver mail. Sooo... Mahesh can say goodbye to his business😆 But seriously though, I think it would be nice showing Deepu struggling at his job and his co-workers laughing at him and commenting how he only got the job since he's the SIL of the owner!! Then he'll get into a fight again and finally everyone will realize that he lost his job because of his temper, NOT because of Jyoti!

gr8 update Vrisha

this serial is really getting on my nerves i agree with Vrish... brij is just changing his mind n bcoming even more demanding than b4. previously he just wanted 2 apologise, he refused 2 the medication n wanted 2 die bcoz of his sins n now suddenly he wants sushi back in her life, he wants 2 hug his child, he wants 2 b a gud father.... blah blah blah... i mean what is going on in the minds of brij. he's so confused n is confusing the audiences also. don't know abt others but definitely i'm confused😕 what does he want actually??? can sumbody explain it 2 me... the specific thing that he wants. looks like even the creatives r confused n don't know how 2 take the track ahead n r just hanging here n there with brij n kabir's dostana track😆
ojii, u've read my mind. i have the same exact thoughts. i'm wondering why is that only bhairavi sees brij n nobody else. pankaj is blind but what abt the other members in the family r they also blind or what???... oops! actually i forgot, nobody lives in that vashisht house except bhairavi n pankaj🤣 looks like mahendranath n gayatri have gone 4 tirthyatra🤪 n pratik... he's no where. it's only the audiences who remember him... neither the vashisht family nor the creatives. coz nobody of vashisth house even mention his name like what pratik is doing or when will he come back or where he has gone ???👎🏼
the creatives r losing it!!! looks like they r just rushing up 2 end the serial bcoz of low TRPs. well, if the creatives keep on going like this then the TRPs will even go low. for high TRPs they shud show bhairavi n padma getting the 3rd degree😈 just by showing brij getting a disease, regretting his sins n stop blackmailing bhairavi wont' get the serial gud TRPs😒
