February 5, 2010 Written Update

Jyoti comes to the Vashisht house, to everyone's surprise. She tells them that she's come to talk to Pankaj. CM begins to insult her, when Pankaj stops her and tells Jyoti to come upstairs to talk to him. Everyone is dumbfounded. Jyoti goes up with him and he asks how much money she wants. She tells him that the value she is asking for may be a lot to ask and she tells him to promise her that he will give her sole custody of her child. He laughs at this but agrees. She signs the paper, and hands it to him with a sad smile. Before leaving, she congratulates him and tells him that she hopes his new wife turns out to be a better wife than she could be.

She goes downstairs and gives a final goodbye to everyone, and leaves. At the Sharma house, Deepu's inlaws are there discussing about the marriage. KK tells them that he agrees with his son's decision to delay the marriage. Jyoti shows up there and asks if they are delaying the marriage because they are waiting for her divorce to happen. She tells them that she's just signed the papers, and now there's nothing to stop the marriage. Deepu's inlaws are relieved and leave.

After they are gone, Padma tells Jyoti she did the right thing and asks if she got her check. Jyoti tells her that she's not asking any money from them, and her father has educated her enough to support herself. She leaves. Padma says she wishes that her father had educated all the daughters of this house. The episode ends on Sushma's upset face.
