Kalpana (Played by Kalpana Bora): A dear friend and confidante of Jyoti's! Jyoti was lucky to have Kalpana as her friend. A medical student, Kalpana came from a well-to-do family, who treated Jyoti as their own daughter. Kalpana's mother was 'amma' and father 'papa' and brother 'bhaiyya' to Jyoti. Much of Jyoti's stability came from Kalpana and her family.

Kalpana is jyoti's best friend...she is the one that is always there for jyoti....they are like sisters.....she is psychiatrist...kalpana's mom brought jyoti's kundali to a pandit and told jyoti that she isn't manglik....kalpana is very sweet and nice...always helping jyoti out
