chapter 2
She didn't know if he really existed, but if he did Meera would forever be in debt to God. It was her own, secret and beautiful world where no one existed but her and him.
He would frequent in her dreams often. Everytime she would see him, Meera would wake up, her face flushed and a cute smile on her face.
Today, she had everything she wanted - money, job satisfaction and a happy family-
but he was missing...
'Prithvi'
Meera muttered, clearly daydreaming while staring at her blank laptop screen.
His name, she just knew his name. How? She didn't know.
And who is he?
All those questions crept in her mind frequently with her mind coming up with no answers.
Meera broke from her reverie as her mobile beeped. She came back to reality and looked around. She was still in her office cabin. Another message from mother. She sighed.
Tired and exhausted from day's work, meera dropped her bag on the floor and looked up. Her dad and mother were seriously discussing something in the living room. Though she was tired, she joined them.
After an hour or so. Meera realised the real reason of the serious debate between her parents.
Ramdhari wanted his daughter and wife to return to Barahgaon and live life as a complete family while Sudha was strictly against it since Meera would have to leave everything she had gained. Sudha was thinking of Meera.
But he was clearly tired of meeting his wife and daughter over weekends. HE could bear this seperation no longer. And even Meera agreed to it.
Ramdhari finally asked Meera to say what she feels. Whatever it is, he would oblige.
Meera remembered she was born in a small village whose name she had forgotten over time. When she was old enough to understand, she was in Delhi. Her parents had taken the decision to shift to delhi for Meera's future.
Her school grades were always the best and gradually she topped in her university course. With high scores, smart personality and good communication skills Meera quickly got a call from one of the most sought after companies in her field.
Her father being the sarpanch of Barahgaon and large farms to take care of, would frequent Delhi over weekends. He needed to stay in the village to take care of village matters It sort of had become a routine for her when her dad arrived at weekends.
Meera felt a bit apprehensive. But then, her parents had done so much for her. She had to do it. She would go to Barahgaon.
"I will go!" Meera shouted. "And thats final, mother."
"But , Meera..."
Miu smiled.
"It is my decision, mom. You don't have to say anything. When are we leaving?"
Mr.Ramdhari, her dad, was quite confused as to how her fiery, fiesty girl would agree so soon. He had prepared himself a lot before confronting Meera. He was so sure it would lead to arguments. But none of that happened. They were supposed to leave tomorrow itself after noon.
"Dad?" Meera interrupted her dad's thoughts." I wanted to tell you that, I won't be able to travel with you. Can you send a car and a driver tomorrow evening? I have some things to take care of. " Miu smiled.
"Of course dear."
Ramdhari kissed his daughter's forehead. "Goodnight"
"Goodnight"
Meera turned towards her bedroom.
Her life was really going to change overnight. For he would be waiting for her...
