Meera panics on contemplating about the burnt wedding photo. Prithvi and Meera retire in the drawing room for the night and share some romantic moments in each other's company. Prithvi falls asleep on Meera's lap. Meera does not change her position the entire night so that Prithvi can have a sound sleep and sprains her neck. Later, she finds a knife along with Prithvi's photo in her bedroom and becomes very tensed but she hides all this from Prithvi. Prithvi admires Meera's beauty as she adorns herself in front of the mirror. He becomes outraged when he finds that the sindoor in Meera's vermillion box is replaced by ash. Prithvi calls the family members and charges them about who had done it. Kiran and Bua ji scorn Prithvi while Akash pretends to be concerned about Prithvi. Meera overhears when Kiran and Bua ji gossip about her. Prithvi accidentally finds the burnt wedding picture and gets vexed.
Prithvi becomes extremely angry on seeing his burnt wedding photo. He announces to his family members that he will not let anyone to ruin his marital life. Kiran and Bua ji taunt him saying that he is making a hue and cry of a petty matter but Prithvi replies back to them. He refers to the vermillion incident and says that being a villager he prefers to see his wife wearing sindoor and mangalsutra. Bua ji asks Prithvi and Meera to leave the house if they are facing so much problems. They agree but Akash requests them to stay back thinking about his own motive. Prithvi fumes as Kiran and Bua ji continue taunting him. But Meera pretends to fall unconscious to prevent Prithvi from becoming angry. Unaware of Akash's cruel intentions, Rajiv feels proud of him. Meera falls in the tarp of Akash's lie and start doubting Bua ji. She informs Sudha about the incidents, and asks Bua ji if she was involved in the misdeeds against her and Prithvi.
Meera overhears Prithvi and Akash talking and realizes that the latter is hurt by her marriage to Prithvi. In the terrace, Akash indirectly tries to make her aware of his feelings for her. Meera slips and falls into the swimming pool, but Akash rescues her and takes her mangalsutra unbeknownst to her. Prithvi fondles Meera's photographs endearingly while a drenched Meera enters the room. Prithvi spends some intense romantic moments with her. He suddenly notices that her mangalsutra is missing and becomes infuriated. Meera cannot recall when and where she lost the mangalsutra. Akash conspires to use the mangalsutra as a means of creating a rift between Prithvi and Meera. Meera panics when Prithvi dives into the swimming pool in search of her mangalsutra. However, he fails to locate it.
Prithvi fails to find Meera's mangalsutra and becomes depressed. He argues with Bua ji when she insults him. Meanwhile, Sudha arrives in Khanna mansion and overhears the argument. Akash suggests to Meera to buy a new mangalsutra and lie to Prithvi that she has found it. Thinking about Prithvi's happiness, Meera agrees to Akash's plan. Prithvi buys a new mangalsutra for Meera but before he can show it to Meera the latter tells him that she has found the misplaced mangalsutra. Prithvi happily puts the fake mangalsutra around her neck. As he is heading upstairs Akash appears and informs Meera in a loud voice that he has found her mangalsutra. Prithvi becomes furious at Meera for lying to him. Meera tries to reason with him that she lied just to bring a smile on Prithvi's face but Prithvi refuses to believe anything and in his anger insults Meera.
Prithvi leaves the house in anger. Meera breaks down into tears on realizing her mistake. Akash takes the blame for giving her the idea of lying to Prithvi. Sudha comforts Meera but Akash feels that she is doubting Akash's intentions. Prithvi wanders near a construction site and deliberately picks up a fight with a labourer. All the labourers beat Prithvi brutally. Meera worries about Prithvi and requests Akash to go in search of him. Later, Prithvi apologises to the labourer and thanks him for helping him indirectly leaving the latter wonder-struck. Akash finds a wounded Prithvi and decides to hit him with his car, but fails. On returning home, Meera tends to Prithvi's wounds and apologises to him.
Maha Episode 21st April, 2013
Sudha mistakes Akash's pretence as his concern and tells him that she wants to urgently speak to him. But Akash suspects that Sudha has learnt about his conspiracy against Prithvi and Meera. Prithvi suffers from a guilty conscience as he said harsh words to Meera and is unable either to forgive himself or behave normally with Meera. On the other hand Meera becomes upset as Prithvi remains grim with her. Akash plans to kill Sudha. Next morning, Prithvi, Meera and the family members leave for the temple, while Sudha and Akash stay home. Sudha bless Prithvi and Meera before they leave and asks them to be with each other always. Akash plans to make Sudha's murder look like an accident. Prithvi refuses to enter the temple and while others go inside, he lashes himself with a whip for hurting Meera. Meanwhile as per Akash's plan, Sudha falls off the stairs and becomes badly injured. Akash hits on her head repeatedly with his walking aid to stop her from calling Meera.
From April 22nd to 26th, 2013
Sudha tries desperately to call Meera, but Akash hits on her head repeatedly. Meera gets shocked when he finds a bloodied Prithvi lashing himself and stops him. Prithvi apologises to Meera for hurting her. Meera makes him promise to her that he will never hurt himself like this again. She finds Sudha's missed calls but fails to reach her over the phone. She senses that Sudha is in some trouble and everyone rushes to the house. They reach the house and find a bloodied and battered Sudha, lying unconscious near the stairs. They call the family doctor and tend to Sudha. After regaining consciousness, Sudha points at Akash but fails to reveal his misdeed. The doctor fails to save Sudha's life. Rajiv informs Ramdhari about Sudha's death.
Ramdhari Singh arrives when the family is mourning Sudha's death and breaks down into tears. He asks Prithvi to take care of Meera. Prithvi apologises to him for not being able to save Sudha but promises him that if Sudha's death was not an accident and if someone was responsible for the same he will not leave that person. Meera finds an undelivered message in Sudha's mobile. She tries to decipher the message. Akash tries to get rid of the wire which he forgot to remove, but he becomes shocked when he cannot find the same. Prithvi gets hold of the wire and suspects that someone has conspired against Sudha. Meera decodes the message and gets suspicious about Akash. She enquires him about his whereabouts at the time of the accident. He lies to her that he was in the office but gets caught when one of his employees come to take his signature as he was absent in the office for a long time. Meera finds the wedding picture with Akash's face pasted beside her and understands that Akash is the culprit.
Meera confronts Akash for murdering Sudha. Akash accepts all his misdeeds in front of her. He admits that it was him to tried to kill Prithvi time and again. He says he did everything to get her and in future also he will kill anyone who comes between them. Sudha supported Meera in her decision to marry Prithvi and hence she had to die. Meera grabs a gun and points it at Akash to kill him. Prithvi wipes Ramdhari's tears and blames himself for Sudha's death. He vows to avenge Sudha's murder. Akash fools Meera and snatches the gun from her. He threatens Meera to keep his crimes a secret. He frightens her that if Prithvi comes to know everything he will kill Akash in his mad anger and will be hanged himself leaving Meera a widow.
Thinking of the consequences, Meera hides from Prithvi that Akash is Sudha's murderer. As Meera is scared of Prithvi's anger, Akash takes advantage of it. He pretends to be concerned about Meera in front of Prithvi. Meera becomes emotional on seeing Sudha's ashes. Prithvi consoles her and soothes her lovingly. She requests Prithvi not to let his anger have full control on him ever and ties a dhaaga around his wrist as a reminder of her love. Meera falls asleep in Prithvi's lap. Prithvi shows the wire to Akash and tells him that he suspects that one of the family members is involved in Sudha's murder. Akash is visibly scared as Prithvi vows to find the killer within 24 hours.
As Prithvi goes to bring food for Meera, Akash appears and taunts Meera about revealing his crime to Prithvi. He is elated as Meera kept his crimes a secret. He tries to provoke her against Prithvi and asks her to elope with him, but Meera gives Akash a tight slap. She warns him to stay away from Prithvi and also says that the day is not far when all his crimes will get revealed. Prithvi feeds fruits to Meera and tells her to sleep. Prithvi finds out that the murderer is left-handed. He tries to find some more clues and discovers a receipt of the shop from where the wire used to trip Sudha was purchased. The shopkeeper identifies Akash as the buyer from the photos that Prithvi shows him. Prithvi becomes shocked on finding out that Akash has killed Sudha. In his anger he picks up an axe and rushes back home to kill Akash. But Meera's promise stops him and he falls into a dilemma.Edited by swethasyam08 - 12 years ago
