Fabulous Friday
Today's episode was fabulous – a good mix of seriousness, masti, craziness, jealousy and awakening.
Prithvi ka dil mein apni patni key liye Kuch kuch toh hua.
Apologize ahead of time for the length of the post, but I loved every bit of the episode.
Thrilled of the start where Prithvi decides enough is enough, and puts his foot down on all the nonsense and abuses. His step-mother had no choice but understand his position in the house and future life. I felt that it was great that the truth came out now rather than drag it on for a month with half cut sentences and stupid insults against Prithvi. He was not happy about it but mentally reasons there is no other way but the direct path.. Classic shoorveer Prithvi.
When Meera comes him to advice him he runs the 'you are not my wife' bit again advising her to go to Akash with a sneer but when she does turn to go, he is so aware of her that he stops her at the last second, goes to her, holds her hand and gives her towel to her. But did you'll notice how gently he took her hand and doesn't leave it even after giving her the towel?
That gentle action shows somewhere he wanted to hold her back irrespective of what his mind says.
The understanding Meera has of him now gives her patience and the determination to see him happy.
The scene of the next morning was too funny from the chaos in the living room – things strewn, my favourite waiter (the angrezi jhadoing one) sitting behind a hen to catch eggs – with Prithvi threatening to beat him if he dropped an egg, a malishwala, 2 doodhwala's and a full akhada style gym for our modern tank wearing Prithvi. Kya sahi dikh raha tha…
Usney family ko chup karaya but not our Meera… She was back in her element and clearly decided to take panga with him.
From the absolutely stunning saree to her flying kesh (hair), she looked every bit an angel. So I don't blame the dropped jaws of all present there…
So much so the maalish wala massaged Prithvi right of the sofa and continued on the sofa arm little realizing what was going on..
Then came the most unexpected moment – Prithvi was felled – one look at her and our calm, emotionally level Prithvi sat down in awe lost in the vision in pink in front of him.
That of course till he saw everyone looking at her…. As chulbuli Meera continued her modeling with no care in the world.
Phir toh shamat aayi – Possessiveness reared its head and he went charging to cover her up. Then kya dhulai ki sabki – with threats to pull their eyeballs out and thrashed the maalishwala… He was in full form. His threats to a mischievous Meera to have more sharam/decorum was met with a cheeky "why are you worried, Tum mere pati thodey na ho " leaving him with no answer. When he tried to take his towel he found himself drawn again and quickly covers her again and storms off.
I adored the small smile of victory Meera had at the end – at winning this round where usney bolti band kar di Prithvi ki, got the room cleared and reiterated the fact he felt possessive about her.
After this feel good episode - the precap for Monday sent my heart into overdrive… The snow outside my window too will have a meltdown with what we are in for on Monday.
Despite all the hugs and holding on to him the past few months, he never reacted to her as he has started since the jungle escape episode. And his stunned expression definitely confirms ki – kuch kuch hota hai…. Par who kab samajhega??
