Whether it Prithvi's decision to break all relations with Meera was to allow her to return to the city and her love, thus keeping his promise to Sudha or a decision of nafrat towards her and all relations, one thing is clear'.. from the crazed driving because she was sitting with Akash, to the pull of her call for help with the gunda's however much he chose to ignore it, he was sooo aware of her...
Last week he was completely torn between letting her go and not wanting her to go with Akash. He kept trying to make sense of their connection and what really held her back.
Today he tried really hard to tune her out at first but there was no stopping him when she was in trouble...
Love or not, she is his wife in his mind, however much he may deny the relationship. He let no harm befall her even though during his reverse pheras he said he is no longer responsible for her safety.
Today's fight shot that theory to smithereens...
He was oh so protective and showed the possessiveness I always knew was there even when he told her to leave from day 1. But he always was like a wall to shield her from trouble that she got into or he got her into with his misplaced sense of duty.

Purana prithvi is back - Don't mess with him at this point..
Meera is back as she did not back away from the eve-teasing and challenged the gundas.
Prithvi does CARE for Meera and Meera realizes that he CARES at some level, despite what his words say- as they say actions speak louder than words.
Prithvi is absolutely possessive of Meera. She was shell-shocked to see him this way about her... Got to agree with all mitvi fans here- awesome scene.
The fact he broke the hand of the man for touching her proves he will never stop caring.
Now waiting for them to bond in Delhi over their fireworks (Junoon) first as she is the only one who will be able to understand his negativity to PKPapa's family and challenge him with no fear (Ishq). She was not scared of him or his temper and will hopefully revert to that Meera again.
He will need a shoulder in the face of the hypocrisy of his father in acknowledging him that will hurt him more and add fuel to his plan of hating them(nafrat)...
