Hi Jahnu!
Thanks for another wonderful update! This chapter provided deeper insight into the characters’ emotions while also revealing the identities of Raghu and Vasudha’s killers.
“But! Rao sighed, his gaze trailing off the window. How else does he douse this blazing wildfire eating away at his...”
The first part of this chapter captures Rao’s inner conflict and overwhelming guilt effectively. However, I find it hard to accept his line of thinking:
“What’d these people have done, what choices they’d have made, if ever life had offered them the same recourse that it...”
These murders weren’t impulsive acts driven by raw emotion; they were carefully orchestrated out of revenge, greed, and meticulous planning. A murderer might justify their actions based on circumstances or beliefs, but why this dramatic self-reflection? Is he trying to evoke sympathy to avoid suspicion?
The conversation between Partha Saradhi and Prameela was, as always, a delight to read. I have always enjoyed their dynamic—their playful banter, their concerns about Jodha, their curiosity about his job and daily life, and, most importantly, their unwavering moral support for each other. This time was no different. They truly embody the wisdom of an elderly couple!
I particularly loved this line: “Maybe then people will stop going for each other’s throats and invest their energy in bringing up resilient and...” While Prameela focuses on the emotional aspects of Jodha’s married life, Partha Saradhi takes a more holistic approach, considering her future responsibilities as well. Jodha is incredibly lucky to have them, especially after losing her own family.
Now, Jahnu—what’s going on with Abhi’s sudden interest in Jodha? What are you up to? Are you setting up a checkmate for Ja-Jo with this proposal? After all, Jodha can’t say ‘no’ to her Pedamma!
I fully agree with you Jahnu on this: “As it is, marriage, kids, in-laws, finances, career – these modern age women have too much on their plates”
“He picked his phone to dial the best in class security firm the ACP recommended”. - Is Jo already under surveillance or will it start from Hyderabad trip?
Jodha and her adventures - Poor Jalal! He has a bright future!
PBD Readers: “We.can. get.quite. persuasive Jahnu to get the next update!”
Jahnu to PBD lovers: “Bring it on babe! I am waiting!”
