Yes I can think of quite a few characters in HBAS who did something nice without expecting anything in return!

AMK took in Azeez, Sayyid who used to be on the streets, saw potential, trained them to be confident warriors!! He gave money to take care of Chanda and Parvez.

AMK was just suppose to keep an eye on Heera and her group, but he saved her at the canal without knowing what he was getting into!!

Heera and Vaid kaka treated people without expecting anything from them

Chachajaan though a slave, took AMK away from all the agony, raised him without expecting anything from him

The Vaid who who helped Sayyid recover from him wounds after he passed out & shielded him away from Mahendar's men, did so only on the basis of what Sayyid had said before falling unconscious - that he had to save lives. Expecting nothing back for himself he helped Sayyid knowing he was a Mughal. Sayyid did pay him for the service which was not expected of him by that Vaid.

Vaidkaka along with Heera also did the service of healing to the Parnagahris & others who seeked their help.

AMK too did his part to the two little orphaned girls Chanda & Parvez. Though he provided his help when he recruited orphans like Azeez, Chota Faizan, Sayyid & others it became a symbiotic relationship whereas helping the two girls showed his character. 😊
