I thought the "unfair would be AMK would have to fight with his bare hands. But I never imagined it would be fighting with blind folded.
Yes... even Akbar offered to fight with his left hand.. I think Khalil realised that even THAT would be too strong of an opponent for him! It took Khalil kicking many notches off Akbar's ladder to bring him down his level.. and even then Akbar managed to soar!😃
Duel scenes were amazingly described. It's not filmy at all and is not unbelievable. You are an intelligent writer Lashy.
This is the biggest sweetest most-amazingest compliment one could've ever paid me... 🤗gosh - not unbelievable... it is what I was aiming for! True, it is all larger than life... but it is the story of knights and heroes, loyalty and duels... so, while the 'larger than life' element had to be there, I also didn't want it turning out like a Bahubali... where one is required to suspend disbelief to read on... so so so glad... you felt that way!
Heera had been prayed for shehzaade's change of heart. That had happened when the prince overlooked the cheating charges on Akbar. He was always having the pull-in and repell apart feeling towards AMK. Otherwise he wouldn't have given him 15 days time for death sentence and wouldn't have accepted AMK's challenge for duel.
Yes... though one would have to say he felt very guilty after the barbed-whip lashing, when it was obvious it was overkill, personal and a prejudiced backlash against such a trusted soldier of his!
Die! I will avenge the humiliation you brought me!' He plunged the axe down.
Today you will die at the hands of the student you have always belittled!'- How vengeful he was. Terrible.
He is! He has terrible issues, this Khalil... at least for Mahendar and Shehzaade we can attribute certain reasoning and logic to certain parts of their responses and thoughts... Khalil has very little of such... the only time I found a human streak in him, if at all, was when the word 'Ustaad Sahib' crossed his mind as he was slipping away... recalling their past - ever since the time he'd met the man who took him to great heights and how his life was now ending at the hands of that very man!
'You cheat... I cheat!'- Aww our hero. I liked this.
😎
'Ustaad Sahib' was the name that crossed his mind then. But his ego would never allow him to address the man aloud with such respect now.
You are no great man, Akbar Mahmoud Khan.
'you are a sinner yourself!'- how mean and low he was.
Yes!!!! No comparison whatsoever between the extent of their sins/crimes whatever. He knows it.. just low blows!
'You lot whine as though Khalil hasn't been deceptive throughout!'-finally prince had a change of heart for a moment for Akbar.
That was during the heat of the moment - fresh after the duel... it changed again when he heard the subjects wanted him to pardon Akbar!
Actually I have to reproduce here each and every sentence of this chapter just to waw. I enjoyed reading thrice.
Omg thank you so much, Chitti!😳
My heart skipped a beat when the prince asked for Farooq sahib.
The felt sad that the once mentor-student, friends, brothers like parted permanently with a sad note. The prince used to awake in nights to the safe return of AMK. No prince would do this.
AMK was no less. He was ready to sacrifice his life in many occasions. Such was their relationship.
Well... if his prime security officer, intelligence officer and most trusted man was out saving his life, I could imagine the Shehzaade staying awake - since his safe return benefits them BOTH!🤔 But Akbar's contribution to his life was irreplaceable... what I meant to say is that there could have been another mentor in Akbar's life to take the place of Shehzaade (even Chacha jaan himself was a great mentor) but the Shehzaade wouldn't find another Akbar!
Sad that our mighty Ustaad, warriors for which we all fall for,was reduced to a common man.
He is not a common man, chitti...😊 because his thoughts and ideals have never been common! Even as the mere Sahib of the Haveli, if he puts his heart to it, he can achieve great things - far greater than the Shehzaade could, sitting at that glitzy all-powerful throne, waging expansionist war after war!😡
Shehzaadi Banu Begum knew that the lady in blue silk was the culprit. Would she leave her free?
Hmmm 🤔
Sad that Zayaan's dream of learning from ustaad wouldn't come true.
🤔
What about Bindiya. Poor girl.
😭
AMK deserve his mother's love and care. I am looking forward for mother- son meeting in your words. That would be wonderful.
It was his 12 year old self that deserved a mother's love most. Needed it most. Wanted it most. Too little too late - her efforts... 😊😭
Finally I am to say this novel is your masterpiece, Lashy. God bless you with family. Keep going.
Thank you so so so much! Your blessings have brought me here...🤗
But posted thrice but lost due to net connection issues.
