1) What if Akbar had evaluated the situation differently and approached his master sometime earlier, of his own accord - to explain the situation? What if the Shehzaade had heard the truth from him directly, at a time when he was calmer? Wouldn't the Shehzaade have reason to trust Akbar far more? Wouldn't his treatment of his best man have been better then?

(On the other hand, the prince is unpredictable and one can never say how he'd react)

2) What if Akbar hadn't succumbed to his conscience and ordered for all unrelenting messengers to be callously killed straightaway? What if he didn't wait to see if the messengers would change their minds?

It's all about 'What if'... of course, AMK could never have seen the future... but we all do the 'what if' routine when we look back at a tragedy. It's human nature.😳

It was his decision to burn the scrolls. To let her go. It was also his decision to wed Heera. It was his decision to protect her and Parnagarh. She asked for none of it. But now they are both suffering. So, he says 'largely of his own making'

Behind each and every decision of Akbar above, there is plenty of innate goodness and logic (And he knows it too). But it has led to consequences too...

He is currently in solitary confinement and doing a lot of introspection... any man alone for 20 days not knowing what's going on the outside world would start evaluating himself, at least briefly na...

Plus, I think I because of writing 50 currently, this poem reflects sentiments that are true of both, 49 + 50! 😆
