The Story hurts us thus..

Will any separation be shown more tragic

Than the one that the Author describes in the chapter of her epic?

Though she hinted already in the teaser that preceded

The readers haven't recovered from the shock that it triggered

The circumstances are not favouring our protagonist

By the plotting of the Kunwarsa , evil minded and antagonistic

Who sees that the Shehzaade's mind is poisoned

Against his trusted man, for whom his heart is always moistened..

The Shehzaade wants to investigate into the matter

He summons his Advisor to go deep into it faster

The Advisor promptly goes to meet the evil General

Not only for his Huzoor, but for for his own reasons several

The General welcomes the news and the conveyor with open arms

Rejoicing as if he is equipped with latest firearms

The partners in crime both conspire together

The General taking a vow to crush his rival altogether..

While he is is planning the canal network with all foresight

He gets the bad news about the death of his trusted men eight

And the Kunwar's meeting with the Moghul Prince Royal

To level charges against him, who has ever been loyal

He is greatly disturbed by the incidents that are going on

She is upset that her folly caused the turmoil that has come upon

One quick glance inside his chamber makes her assess

The raging tempest in his mind, which she wants to redress

He repents saying 'Trust is like a glass so delicate..

Once broken to pieces , it will be difficult to re-create..'

She feels guilty and apologises for her action

That has brought them to face such a grave situation

He pacifies her and gets ready to rush to the Capital

To meet the Shehzaade, which is the only way practical..

She is confident that his Huzoor will trust him

He dreads the consequences if it went against him

He finally takes leave of her after arranging for her safety

With his close associates leaving instructions a plenty

We are reminded of his words to the Huzoor earlier

'I realised I couldn't sit by and let her die... not today... not ever'

She is the ideal wife of an ideal man, the warrior without fear

'I will be strong, henceforth... not become weak or shed tears..

Harka Bai chooses to be Khan Sahib's strength not his weakness'

With this he departs abruptly , leaving her teary and speech less..

These are the words of the author chosen to end this chapter..

Leaving the readers with heavy hearts, unable to think anything further

Leaving her lands and people vulnerable and exposed to the elements bizarre.

Sadly, the lands and people knew not of the dark dismal cloud gathering elsewhere

Gaining momentum as it rippled closer, to bring true everyone's worst nightmare!
