C47 Of Miracles and Lessons

What a miraculous escape it was for Sayyid! It took all his guile and great presence of mind to hoodwink his pursuers. The teachings of the Ustaad have been so deeply ingrained in his men that each and every action of theirs ,when on a mission, hinges on them for their very survival. The murmur of saving lives before losing consciousness saved his own- his rescuer being a devout Vaid, which worked in his favour. Apparently, Sayyid's Khuda was already looking out for him.

What a lesson in interrogation conducted in the open...under a mighty tree. The chilling and menacing flying blades rattled the prisoner ,no doubt, but not enough for him to spill the beans. What ensured his cave -in was when AMK played his trump card bringing the family into the equation and voila!- the captive became putty in his hands. Another masterstroke from the Grand Master.

Smiles, merriment and Bindiya's poetry were the order of the day at Mohan Banna's miraculous recovery. Indeed this development was most heartening to read after seeing him go through some very dark moments. The Mansabdar's arrival set off the delightful teasing session which would have gone according to script had it not been the Sahib that they were dealing with and hence the script was flipped with the horse ride invitation.

Walls have ears and so to the woods , it was.The ambience couldn't have been more perfect to convey the verified devastating news of the dirty misdeeds of Mahendar. The despicable events that had unfolded and those that were yet to unfold opened the floodgates but Heera was in the best hands possible to emerge stronger , resolving to be her husband's steadfast partner. This is her fight as much as his. After the tears, the whoosh of happiness in the woods came in the form of the archery lesson and Heera's ingenious way of getting rid of her husband's worries , albeit temporarily, that were plaguing him. Waiting for the rise of the moon is already raising the temperature. The entire episode in the woods was sheer pleasure, darling author.

The all-intriguing meetup of the two princes -one can only marvel at the foolhardiness of Mahendar going right to the top to serve his selfish ends. The Prince forestalling him with his question should sound the warning bells for Mahendar. What twist is in store for Mahendar is being awaited with bated breath, author Sahiba. News of the tete-a-tete is on its way to AMK it is now all a race against time who will strike the first blow when and where it matters most.

10,000 words that absolutely thrilled and amazed the reader. Thank you so so much , Lashy Sahiba , for this massively brilliant chapter !

ETA: Manu🤗

Okay in the grocery store this was the nearest to momos I could find. They call it gyozo. All vegetarian! I could have steamed or microwaved it but I like it sauteed so with spray just pan sauteed it for 5 minutes and took tamarind sauce on the side!! Bon Appetite! 😃

ONE VICTIM WAS ONLY 8 YEARS OLD, AND THE EVENTS UNFOLDING TALK ABOUT BRUTALITY OF THE WORST KIND. THE OTHER ONE WAS A TEENAGER

BOTH HAVE A STRONG POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS ANGLE AND IT SEEMS POLICE OFFICERS, OFFICERS IN GOVERNMENT POSTS ETC ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BOTH THE CRIMES

THE PM HAS MADE A CONDONING STATEMENT ONLY YESTERDAY, AFTER DAYS OF SILENCE, WHICH I FEEL, IS TOTALLY PATHETIC. AND THE GENERAL APATHY OF THE GOVT IN THE CASES IS ASTOUNDING AND UNBELIEVABLE

AS AN ORDINARY CITIZEN I FEEL FRUSTRATED ANGRY AND YET HELPLESS

THERE IS A PROTEST BEING ORGANISED IN DELHI, NEAR THE PARLIAMENT HOUSE. SOME OF MY FRIENDS AND I ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND IT

i can very much relate with your feeling , it...its appalling & the system which is so feeble leaves one totally in despair . right u're , we r just sooo helpless !

these days i totally detest the media , actually their way of reporting soo keep myself away from news channels , only one or two r watchable .

& the statement of PM , don't know what to say...we hear it every time but more than the words its the actions that matters , i just hope justice really prevails this time .

Oops... sorry... as I've copy pasted all reviews elsewhere, I think the 'quote' with your name in it must have gotten erased. I am generally quite careful about that - 😳

Then again, it's Lana and the last thing I need to do is formally apologise...😎

Instead here I got my coujjin... told him about the mix up... and he understood.
What a coincidence - he was wearing exactly what you once told me you saw him wear, when you spent half-an-hour ogling at him through your binoculars!

Sorry about the plosh plosh rains... it's London you see!😉

'Adab...' he cleared his throat, its timbre at a richer note of husky through the sonorous sleet of droplets 'adab Lana Sahiba...'

ETA: Yes Lana I've tasted them.. the gyoza (the Japanese delicacy). Dim Sum (Chinese) and I've tasted Momos (The East Indian/Nepalese delicacy)

But tastewise, I'd rank Momos a notch slightly higher - simply because it has a strong taste of garlic and green chilli which is missing in the other two... slightly closer to Indian tastes😳 try and see if you can find one. Can't be that here we have 5 Nepalese restaurants within a 5 mile radius and in California you don't even have one... 😳

Manu the vegetarian Gyozas and Dim Sums I've tasted come stuffed with a variety of vegetables - various cuts - but, similar to the veggies in spring rolls.😳 I could be wrong though...

Lashy I can't agree more about momos! But this is the closest I could find to momos. The stuffing was of cabbage, spring onions, carrots and lots of garlic. 😃

And about the red line, I am...THUD!! Timbre note of husky rich deep baritone!!! THUD!! And I don't mind the rain...the hair got plastered on his cheeks, creating a...ummm...spicy hot look! 😉😆
