It's very Emotional Stuti...
U penned down the OS in such a way that whoever reads this will feel the pain of girls(like Jo)...
I think it's the 1st story which made my eyes wet...
A lot of questions had raised in this story at the time of partition ..But there are no answers for those questions till now..
Loss of lives at that time, brutal killing, uncountable refugees lost thier home and nativity , Duty of an officer and the girls abandoned by the family...
Wah .How can u deal all these in a simple story line with Jalal and Jodha...
It's Heartbreaking because of the pain , bitter truth of the society and Heart touching because of the existence of the Love in this cruel world...
U r an amazing writer...👏

"To me you are the purest. The most divine blessing of the God! God has sent the first bliss of love to me in the form of you.
Lovely words of Jalal

her insane scream had brought tears in the eyes of a so-called rough and tough dutiful police officer unknowingly
My eyes also in 😭tears

"They will understand one day, Jodha...
I think still they didn't understand

God neither exists in the idols, nor does he exist in the sky and the air and in every petty things of nature...

Dear Debastuti,
Let me first congratulate you on your achievement in bringing before our eyes the traumatic aftermath of the historic vivisection of India in 1947. Yes it was a vivisection.. Operation on the lives of the human beings.
There were a number of such heart wrenching novels published during post Independence days, that still stand as the epitaphs for the sacrifices made by the common men and women, though they did not or could not claim the credit for obtaining freedom from the British Raj.
But I am simply amazed at the way in which you have penned the story, with no pretension, as if you were an eye witness to all the events that happened at that time..
I admire your work not merely for presenting the sequence of the events convincingly, but also for bringing about the mood that prevailed at that time.
Your OS is an example of a short story, rendered by and revolving round just a couple of characters.
The distinctive features of a short story is given as..
1. They are short.
2. They tend to have a single focus.
3.Only a few characters.
4. A surprise ending.
5.They usually end at or soon after the climax.

Your OS satisfies all..
Kudos to you.

>> Aunty! 🤗
Thank you so much for your compliments...🤗 'Vivisection' is the most apt term really! Partition had left such a scar which is not recovered even today. 😔 Our pride of independence is always stigmatized by the blood-drenched reality of the partition!

>> @ bold: ❤️ ❤️😳

>> ☺️ ☺️ ☺️ 😃 I have gone through the novels on partitions so attentively that it actually felt that I have witnessed everything in front of my eyes.😳

>> Thank you Aunty! A most valuable compliment for me!😳

>> I tried to satisfy the features of the short story... Thank you for pointing this out, Aunty!🤗
Kudos to you.
>>Thank you so much for reading this one! Bless me so that I can write more better stories... ☺️☺️

>> Darling Choco-cake! I was waiting for you! 😉

What can I say about this absolutely soulful saga of all that's lost and found... you've outdone yourself again👏Jodha alias Radhika is a stunning blend of the vulnerability of the victimised, with the resolve of the survivor from a shipwreck who's just caught a glimpse of the shore ahead - a promising refuge, harbouring endless possibilities unknown. A home so strange, yet so comforting⭐️. Incredible is this Jodha, who has found her shore in times of troubled tide, and she'll definitely remain my favourite after Fakhr!⭐️

>> Offf!! Itni tariif!☺️And you write so good! 😃

There couldn't have been a better observer than the brooding Jalal, whose astute understanding, and overwhelming affections for Jodha turns into the perfect brushstrokes etching this brilliant tale.👏 And like Lana di mentioned, the story brought back memories of the many incidents post independence partition that I have heard from people, and read in books, right now I can remember only "Purbo Paschim" though🤔. It's refreshing, discovering your versatility again, and again... the reader in me, can't help but crave for more! 😃

>> Strangely I also reminded Purba-paschim only. But Purba Paschim is so vivid and such a wonderful work; it itself give a complete view about post-partition time, Nakshal period and war of Bangladesh!
And thank you again for your shower of compliments! ☺️

Now off to explore Mission: "Shotodharay boye jay"...😉

>> Read 'Keya-Pata r nouko' before that. 😆 That is the prequel of Shotodharay Boye jay and is more beautiful. After Keya Pata only you will understand that flow of Sotodhara...
Adwitiya.

I do not claim to know much about that part of Indian history that led to the partition which devastated the nation but reading your OS about the painful events that took place in the aftermath of the partition did hit home.

>> Thank you di! 😳

You can find various novels on the scenarios of India and Pakistan post-partition. They are heart-rendering!😭

And Jodha symbolizes the many girls and women who suffered the most unimaginable abuses, being at the mercy of the marauders. If that was not killing enough, her family further twisted the knife in her wound by allowing their prejudice to overrule their love for their daughter.

>> True! Jodha did find a new life in this story. But most of the girls had lost and sunk in the sea of despair... Their lives were ruined! 😭

To Jodha, Jalal is the God that she found when everything was lost.

>> Of course he is!😳

Jalal strongly believes that love has the ultimate power to overcome all the negativity in the world.

As I mentioned in the HBAS thread, this is by far your best work, yet, Stuti.

>> Thank you! 😃

Truly an inspiring OS! Amazing!👏👏👏

> Love you di!😳
