Lana 🤗

Took me 5 days to recover ...err...I mean...to get back to my normal routine after all that BD excitement. 😳 😉 😆 ☺️

I think I better say no more and make a hasty retreat by wishing a very good night to all the dear Baisas here. 😳 🤗

🤣🤣 🤣 🤗

So even you reckon this is the reaction of all baisas?

As Chellam said, bold-o-bold! Adorably bold, though! 🤣

Awww and about Utsav, I understand🤗
I totally understand your predicament about teens. One day they're all chatterboxes and mommy this mommy that. Suddenly they're 13 and we must be lucky to hear a 'hi' and a 'bye' and see their faces twice in a day.
But wait for 18 to pass, and they'll eventually start making conversation again. Girls can talk of anything under the sun/moon! In case of boys, topics they like - and their eyes light up. If not, the trusted maa ka haath ka khaanaa is there to lure them in 🤣

Accha so this is common with all teens, I thought I was the odd-one-out. 😆

But seriously, not that we hate conversations with parents. Just that we aren't sure how much they'll understand... like I always feel what things/topics are big for me might just seem trivial to them...or at times, when I'm upset abt school or stuff, I just don't feel like involving them given all that they already have to think about. I really hope, Lashy Di, what you say abt post-18 is true.

Hope you all had a great Holi!! 😃

Hmmm... interesting... thanks for giving us a glimpse of life on the other side...
I would say that 20 if not 18, and you start seeing your parents are confidantes, rather than just 'parents' - Especially, girls their moms and boys their dads!😳

Of course, it was only a couple of years ago, that I was a teen too😳...but I've forgotten all about it... what with my powerful memory!

It has a name - what was the name given? But for a first time you have got it pretty good. 👍🏼
I was going to say the same to add a carrot for the nose & button for the eyes (black ) & coloured buttons for the mouth. So did you roll 2 or 3 snowballs & kept them on top of the other. When you roll the snow into a ball(s) it stays longer - provided of course the weather stays put.

Rithi seems to have acquired her Momma's DQ for real.😆

OMG Lashy only a couple of days ago I was watching the song / scene of " Singara Velane " on a local TV program & those famous lines just prior to the song breaks out ... 😆 & yes they do get used in the manner you mentioned to coax someone to sing. 😆

Lavanya / Lana - Your Bhang stories were interesting 😉.😆
I take it that Bhang would have some level of alcohol or a fermentation in the process ?

Lashy - What you mentioned about a teenager is true - I can say that as I went through that with my son. They pass their teens & into their early 20's and then start to make conversations. About topics they like is what makes the difference & see that from what Shagun has mentioned as well, Since I had no daughters in order to keep the line of communication along with his dad I too got involved in watching my son's two favourite sports - Baseball & Basketball. Hardest part for a parent is to let go and deciding when & what to give into, knowing all that can go wrong.

I'm not sure Lavanya at what age driver's license can be obtained there. For us here it's sixteen.
Having born in November & all his classmates had got their license already that year my son went out on his B'day to do the license test, Until then he'd been driving on our driveway and unknown to me with his dad around the block at night. My mister's reasoning was that he'd rather did that with him around than without. My son's reasoning to be able to drive was that since he is a teetotaler he'd rather have the car & be driving it himself than getting a ride from someone who might have had one too many. Boys in their late teens for sure do not want to be seen dropped off at their friends by their parents. . But showing that you trust them with some of their decisions & guiding them without being overbearing helps, along with a prayer that you have instilled good values for them to follow. It is a tight rope walk while your kids pass through this stage of their life.
