I liked two of his movies - Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. And then, Bajirao Mastani.

In the first movie, I liked the transition from a stubborn I-want-my-boyfriend-my-way Aishwarya Rai into a mellow accepting wife of the sort of good fate she was blessed with.

And in the latter movie, I think he unwittingly ended up etching a character like Priyanka Chopra's Kashi, who was a class apart.

Devasena from Bahubali should have been like the Kashi from BM... but Devasena turned out too snooty and cocky for my taste. (Don't know what all the feminism chant was about there... if anyone is worthy of emulation, it is Kashi)

A royal woman with pride, ego and respect - always posing a perfect balance between grandeur/modesty was portrayed by her/depicted by her character.👏
