So after AMK saw the peanut garland I explained to him that the peanut garland was to be given to Mr. Peanut Lover for whom the girls made it with love. They wanted to gift him something he loves so enormously. And guess what, the expressions I saw on AMK's face, aai hai, mashallah!!! He first was surprised but stifled a smile and looked up in amusement. I told him since I was coming to the haveli I thought of bringing it for him as well.
AMK called his guards to summon Laal Badshah over to his room!! He came after a while both AMK and I were chitchatting about, well...business and the weather!! 😆 His pupil came over and gave me an 'adaab' and was enquiring about me when AMK told him how he has a special gift!! His deep rich baritone had a touch of amusement in it. Azeez was eager to know what it was. AMK simply handed him over the gift and Azeez was completely taken by surprise. He looked at AMK and then at me. AMK in a clipped manner with a glint in his eyes told him, 'This is apparently a special gift for you made by the girls over at the peanut farm. It seems you have quite a fan following.' The second part was delivered by AMK with a deliberate pause! Azeez true to his name was red with embarrassment! Laal Badshah after a faltering moment simply managed to voice up, 'Woh KS, they were commenting on what I love the most and I simply told them I love peanuts, maybe...that...is why...!' I laughed and reminded him to thank the girls since they took a lot of effort to make something for their Sabke Sahib! And he gave a quick 'adaab' to both of us and left the room in hurry.
AMK and I exchanged a quick amused look and then I took out the real basket and gave it to him. He opened the basket and saw the garland!! He was pleasantly surprised. He complimented the garland and I simply told him how I was trying my hand in making garlands and it turned out okay and so I thought of presenting him with one. He was so obliged and smelled the garland and for a microsecond, I saw a satisfied look on his face with a hint of a smile! He closed his eyes for a second and inhaled the fragrance of the flower and opened his eyes and to feel the softness he touched it to his cheeks!!! I went several THUDS in my mind just seeing that!! His stroking of the flowers with those fair slender long nimble fingers and that content look of satisfaction gleaming in his eyes made my day!! What was always in my imagination was in front of me in flesh and blood!!
He asked if I intended for any special purpose with the garland, all I could mouth was that it was a gesture of gratitude to him for letting me the land for my peanut farm and everything he has done to help me so far and also making me a part of his team. He simply nodded in acknowledgement! I told him since it is his he can do whatever he likes with it!! He thanked me profusely for the effort and time I invested in it!! I left him with my 'adaab' and he too reciprocated in a similar manner but this time with a full smile!! Another THUD within me!!
Before I left the room, I turned back once and I saw him putting it next to his bed on the stand and stroking the flowers again with a feather-soft touch and a pleased look. That itself was enough for me!!

Come hell or high water my mind is absorbed and dedicated only and only to CS and moreover that is the training we received not to let your mind wander away when you are working in AMK's team! And then my Love for him will never allow me to do that when I am doing something only for him!! 😉😆 By the way, he complimented how you rigorously decorate his room every day with rose petals!! 😉 Aai hai!!! 😆 Okay gotta go before I am thrown out from my job!! 😆
