Bindu, India suffers from another type of plague and that is the worst possible treatment for women in form of molestation and disgrace of their honor! Here I salute and respect all these people who are strangers and yet came running to help people and save their lives. Some in the process of saving others got shot!! They helped and saved the women and ladies present by helping them in every possible way! They didn't even know each other's name! That is true humanity at its best! But one rotten apple can spoil the whole basket, that is the case here of one rotten apple! I will say this I feel so much more safe here than when I go to India! Here I can drive alone and go anywhere but I can't do the same in India and the looks I get back home from men...! 😡 But it is a different form of danger we face here.

Anyway, my prayers and condolences to the families of the deceased!! In this case, I hope it is not the case of 'What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas', the world needs to know of such psychopaths!! What a way the Sin City lived up to its name! 🤔

Lana - It is a tragic day for USA & my prayers goes out to all those innocent victims. Lack of laws for gun control has been a bone of contention & hope the powers be will not put the issue in the back burner once the sad event loses attention.

The good memories of my Vegas visit & my stay which was at the same Mandalay Bay Hotel on the strip will now be marred with this event.

Had a grand puja here and will try to post some photos later. Other than the puja the highlight was the cultural program of Sa re ga ma pa Bengali challenge winner Jimut Roy and Chandrika Roy who came 5th in the show. What a house of talent they were! Completely classical trained for years and it shows in their performance. It was amazing! Our own local cultural program was also a hit.

But will post more later, not in the mood now!!

Lana, I agree with you. India is successfully stooping to new lows day by day! 😡

But if we comment on the issues of safety and tolerance, everyone becomes extremely patriotic all of a sudden!

But there are few good and selfless souls here too who restore the faith in humanity! Sadly, TRP hungry media doesn't highlight such news.

Share the pictures whenever you feel like. We understand how you must be feeling like.
