It was thrilling to see the CIO plotting and planning everything meticulously - dotting the i's and crossing the t's- to ensure their strategy was foolproof. The solidarity and blind faith of Akbar's men in their leader was so inspiring. And the good humour that followed was a welcome relief to break the seriousness of the situation.
What an irony - while it uplifted our spirits to know of Akbar's plans , Heera's hurled us into throes of depression. Addressing her people as a true Rajput princess, psyching them up to be prepared for all eventualities.
And now coming to the part that snatched our sleep (as well as the author's ). All the eerie happenings at the camp prior to the arrival of the satanic murderers, heightened the tensions and the sense of foreboding that something brutal was about to happen.
And it did- leaving us thunderstruck when Gokul's hacked body was dumped in front of the camp. To know that he met his end in a manner so gruesome was really heartbreaking. And it just kept on getting worse. When Khalil yanked off Heera's veil, it was all I could do to check my fury at his brazenness. How dared he? To rub it in, you had the vile Khalil touch her - Lashy dear,WHY YYY YYY?'
So now what is in front of us is a David and Goliath scenario and we know what happened in that story so, we are cautiously optimistic that this Heera-Khalil showdown will end in our girl's favour - but the BIG question is at what price will victory be attained? What will turn the tide is Heera keeping her wits about her during these very crucial moments to prevent things from spiralling out of control.
The juncture you chose to end the chapter, OMG- you have done a Khalil on us, dear Sahiba, torturing us to the max.
After reading this update, I quickly Googled all the brutal torture techniques ever devised in history. Please free to pick any (all are suitable for Khalil ). For starters, gouge out his filthy eyes ; ,dislocate every joint of his body and tear his tongue out . Please just make sure Khalil is given a grisly end befitting his obnoxious deeds.
The update was dark but you shone, Lashy Sahiba, with your impeccable writing skills. Never tomatoes and eggs but always flowers and chocolates for our beloved author. Thank you for this update, Lashy Sahiba, upsetting as it was but necessary for C27 and C28 as you rationalized. 🤗
