The present post talks about the last painting of Akbar, drawn just before his death, and contains the English translation of the Persian inscriptions on this painting.
Only half of the inscriptions could be translated because rest half of the inscriptions on this painting are no more available to us. They are lost. Infact, this painting itself is counting its last days!
It is these inscriptions which tell us about the sad state of his life in his last days. The painting also features the brothers - a very young Shah Jahan and Prince Khusrau,with Akbar.
Akbar lived like a lion, but his end evokes sympathy for this monarch. Have a look.
