Hello ! I just had this idea and couldn't get rid of it. So, I thought, why not post it? The reaction would be amusing, at the very least.😆
Presenting before you:
OS: I Met A Stranger
Jodha huffed, annoyed at being stuck in the middle of a traffic jam at the worst possible moment. She had a very important meeting at eight- a presentation to give, and a client to impress. It was already 7:50, and if this traffic didn't clear any time soon, she'd be late, making the worst kind of first impression on her client.
Her entire morning had been a disaster in itself. She woke up late, dressed in a haste and as a result, had to go without breakfast. Her hunger was making her even crankier than usual.
Her anger escalated as the vehicles ahead of her beloved Lamborghini refused to budge, despite her protests. Trying to distract herself, she looked at her surroundings. Her breath caught as she noticed the man driving the car next to her. He was truly a sight for sore eyes, and seemed more like a Greek Adonis, rather than an Indian citizen.
She giggled as the thought crossed her mind. Her colleagues, family and even her friends believed her to be a prude. She wasn't, not really. It was just that no one had intrigued her in that way in a while. However, that seemed to have changed. The man before her had captured her interest, and without any intention to do so. That somehow endeared him more to her.
His black hair had a brownish tint to them, and looked so silky that she had to suppress an urge to run her fingers through his hair and check for herself. A smile tugged at his lips, as he hummed the tune to the song he was listening to, over the radio. He looked...well, there didn't appear to be any word fitting to describe him. But there was something about him, which wouldn't allow her to look away. She couldn't tear her eyes away from him, much as she tried.
Great, Jodha thought. Now I sound like one of those crappy romance novels Moti is so fond of reading. Really, what is happening to me?
She was brought out of her reverie as the man looked up to meet her eyes, his molten black depths staring into her hazel brown. He appeared confused, then, started chuckling as the realization dawned that she had been staring at him.
Jodha's cheeks reddened as she looked away, wishing for an escape out of this situation. Life wasn't so accommodating, however, she found out, much to her dismay. Flustered, she did the only thing any other sensible person would do, in her place. She stuck out her tongue at him.
His chuckles turned into full blown laughs at her impulsive gesture. Her anger melted away as she heard him laugh, feeling proud of being the reason of that smile- even if it was at her expense.
He finally stopped laughing, shaking his head as if to shake off his amusement. He said, 'Thank you', grinning at her.
'For what?' she asked.
'Making me laugh. Do not misunderstand me. I wasn't laughing at you, but rather at your antics. They were too funny' he replied.
'Your welcome, then. Next time, however, the laughter would be at your expense' she replied with a smile on her face.
'Rather sure of yourself, aren't you? What makes you think there is going to be a next time?' he said. Seeing her smile drop, he quickly added, 'Are you that confident about our relationship?' , wiggling his eyebrows.
Feeling rather relieved to know he had just been teasing her, she quickly replied, 'Relationship, huh? Seems like the pot calling the kettle black' , a smile on her face.
'Touche, Miss...? he asked.
'Jodha.'
'Jodha.' he said, tasting the name on his lips. 'It suits you'
'Common courtesy dictates you now reveal your name.'
'Does it now? My name is Jalal, Miss Jodha.' he smiled.
'It fits him.' Jodha mused, without voicing the thought out loud.
Before she could verbalize her reply, however, the traffic cleared. Driving away, her chauffeur lead her further and further away from Jalal, who seemed determined to chase her.
The traffic was too much for her to stop the car, and Jalal was soon lost in the crowd. With a sigh, she resigned herself to her fate, vowing to find Jalal after this meeting finished.
After all, there couldn't be so many Jalals in this city who drove a Ferrari, right? And with that last thought, Jodha smiled.
Alright, I know that was horrible.😆 So if all the readers decide to give me grief about it, as a punishment, I accept. Translated: All joote, chappal, ande and tamatar are most welcome. 😛
Assuming any one of you was crazy enough to have enjoyed that, I do have a Part 2 in mind, though I'm not sure whether to post it or not. 😳 If you want me to post it, please tell me so in your review.
Regards,
Lily
