271: Two similar situations with
different persons having different intentions and emotions.

Checking
of the food before it is to be taken/ eaten by Shahensha.

In Ep-13: There is a similar situation. HB, JijiAnga along with other ladies are
waiting at the main gate of Agra fort to welcome Shahensha, who is returning to
Agra from Shalpur camp (Where Jalal confronted his Khan Baba for punishing
Zakir without waiting for him nor his consent).
HB brings sweet dish to feed Shahensha, her son. Maham stops HB (caught the bowl) says sorry
and takes the bowl into her hand and tastes (eats a spoon) it and then gives
Jalal saying that "Now he can have that sweet." Jiji anga questions Maham anga

Jijianga to Maham: How can you stop the hands of Malika e ajam,. Maham. You doubted the integrity of Mallika e ajam. (A friend could not see the insult of a friend and raised
voice.)

Maham: I am
sorry Mallika e ajam. I do not doubt
you. But the sweet dish came from the kitchen,
Safety of Shahensha is my duty.
(Shahensha ki salamathi hamara furj hai). (Showcasing
her power, position and nearness to Shahensha to others and fooling Jalal with
her motherly love drama)

Jijianga: What you want to say. MM Jalal ko...( Maham cuts and says)

Maham:
I have told, I do not doubt anybody. But I want to clear my doubt. (Shows off arrogance but with soft and polite tone)

Shahensha,
Jalal: If really it has position then what
will happen? ((nadaan) innocent )

Maham: Then I would have given my life for the safety
of Shahensha. (A strong double faced one trapping
the power centered person with honey filled words of love, care and loyalty.)

Shahensha,Jalal: I won't care for my safety ,as you care for
me. Now I will take this sweet from your hands
only, feed (it to) me. (Even though a great worrier, head of a big and powerful
kingdom innocently falling into her trap).

Maham looks at HB... (Faking respect and seeking permission)

HB: Yes, yes
why not. If I am his mother you are his
daimaa. (A loving mother gulping insult and pain)

MA looks at BK. (unsaid words, my doubt is cleared and now it is better,
you understand my power, place and capability)

BK to one of his person: should be Very careful about this woman and it
is necessary. (sensing the actually intentions of
Maham)

The person (same Fellow): Is it you, that is saying these Wakel-E- ala? (It seems that, you sensed some problem)

BK: " haa.

HB arranges a dinner to Jalal by preparing
herself all dishes. All khaas begums, some other ladies (royal family friends
and relatives) and Maham also present
with HB. Food was served to Jalal and when
he is about to eat, Jodha stops him by saying...

Jodha: Rukiye ..shashensha. (She is afraid of possible attack and suspecting that the
culprit might have meddled with (poisoning) the food killing Jalal.) (Maham with irritated face
thinking it as nonsense. And HB with questioning face, why Jodha is stopping ...)

HB asks
Jodha that what happened.

Jodha with
folded hands begs sorry from HB and says first she wants to check the food and then
only Shahensha will take the food. (She is
genuinely worrying for her lover and husband by seeing the series of murder
attempts on him)

Maham to Jodha: "maaf keejiya Jodha Begum. Ye khana
Mallikayi aazam ne banaya hai. Kya mein ise smajhu ki aap
mallikayai aajam, shahensha ki ammijaan, Marium Makkani per shaq kar
rahi hai". (Sorry Jodha begum. This food is prepared by HB. Can I say, that
you have doubt on the MM, Shahensha's mother.
(Maham is thinking that Jodha is playing the
same game which she had played to go closer to Shahensha and she didn't want it
to happen, so speaks out what her actually intentions while doing so is
now she is blaming it on Jodha)

Ruku to Jodha :
MA is telling right. Jodha you
are crossing your limits (rights). (A stupid and
foolish Ruku who is the soul mate of Maham, caught Maham's point and dances
according to her tune)

Jodha: I won't doubt Ammijaan (HB) even in a
dream, but I am afraid on seeing the recent attacks on shehensha. We have to be very careful, when a person
comes to my room and can put Poison in the pagidi of Shahensha, they can also
access the food. (Jodha is telling reason for her
behavior and her request, possibility of attack and afraid of his safety.) (HB
is feeling happy for the genuine concern of Jodha. Maham is angry but could not speak anything
on this matter as it is the matter of safety of Shahensha.)

Ruku to Jodha:
Jodha begum what you are saying.
You are mis behaving (crossing limits, Manners), you are
pointing finger at MM. (adamant, selfish, fool and
the pawn of Maham. Maham knows where to keep quit in public even if she didn't like
what is happening. But Ruku in her arrogance, egoism and stupidity won't keep
quite. She didn't know that she is going in an exactly opposite direction (to
Jalal) by her (this type of) behavior and elevating the image of Jodha in an attempt to insult her.)

Jalal is
watching all. He know the heart of Jodha
but the matter is with the respect of MM and having confidence on his mother
and Wife, that they will deal the matter in a royal way he is calmly watching.

SB tries to
convince Ruku that the matter is not to insult MM. HB also says Jodha is right and agrees with
Jodha. (Ruku
and Maham are shocked. (They are treating the issue as the supporting of Jodha,
a Rajavamshi begum instead of Ruku, a Mughal begum, but not the point-- safety
of Shahensha.)) Ruku continued her stupidity by asking the opinion of
Shahensha on the matter.

Shahensha, Jalal
irritated with Rukus behavior but coolly says no need for much argument and
says (looking at Jodha fondly) it is Jodha's
concern and cares for him. (It might have sounded like gurivinda ,guriginja ( A red seed with black
spot beneath it) - indian liquorice for Ruku, she got angry.)

Here HB had understood the heart of
Jodha that she is really worried of Jalal but not to show her power. So she accepts Jodha request and asks to call
a servant for checking the food.

But Jodha says that she will check the food
personally. (Jodha's intention is Jalal's safety
but not to insult HB). So she checks the food personally instead of asking
a servant (respecting HB as she personally prepared
all the dishes). HB also understood
and respected the feelings and emotions of Jodha, so HB said that she will
check the mughalai food personally. Jalal is lovingly it and smilingly looks at
Jodha (So, both Jodha (veg) and HB (mughalai, non-veg)
personally checked the food before Jalal eats. Ruku is fuming and Maham feeling
angry on thinking of its effect of it on Jala&Jodha's relation and
elevation of image of Jodha.) Further HB states that," nothing is
important before the safety of Shahensha, even mallikaya ajam", reminding Mahams
words that "she cares for shahensha's safety only and it is her duty". All are very happy except Ruku and
Maham. Ruku is burning with jealousy and
Maham is angry and irritated for the strong relation of Jodha and Jalal.

Jalal
asks the same question that he asked Maham but at a different time when they are enjoying
their private moment in the Angoori bagh (garden) under moonlight. When Jodha says that he never took care of himself and was
always ready to get injured and how his life was important to all. Jalal asks
her what is the necessity of checking the food personally when it can be
checked by a servant as she has already put her life in danger by drinking the
poison..what will happen to her if the food was poisoned. ( Here Jodha reminded him what HB has told about
the importance of his life and she also
says that awaam is dependent on him for food and life and he was a godly figure to his awaam. But not
like loyalty drama of Maham) Jalal kisses her forehead and assures her that when
she is with him nothing would happen to him and lays down on her lap ..
