Welcome back to the forum. I read your post with interest and appreciation. I have the same opinion as yours, this show Jodha Akbar was never meant as a documentary. From the very start, it was obvious that focus would be on Jodha and Akbar, just like in the movie.

The only fear were the caliber of actors, here we were lucky, both Rajat and Paridhi were splendid and gave a very convincing performance over the entire run. As for the story, the first 150 episodes are worth any repeat, they are that good. After that the balance between the characters got wonky, but that was not the fault of the leads.

Even then the show can be enjoyed, and Rajat-Paridhi interactions appreciated if one does not see it as a history lesson but a means of entertainment.

Hi Donjas, hope there r many who share the same opinion about the show and actors instead of postmartem the episode nd spoil the grace of the episode and swear to criticize the actors for not a mistake of them. I don't want to know what the great akbar done and i need not pass on the history to the next generation. which history do i pass to my child?. when there r too many writers as per their whims and fancies changing the history and publishing books to satisfy their inner heart and attitude about same character??? when 4 shows r simultaneously running with same characters in different light what do we educate our children with? which one to take as basis. so i decided as i found history-geeks blog genuine after reading many books personally and wanted to introduce the same as it has many authentic proofs for the information. once my daughter grows she will decide and choose i hope the country won't get spoiled b-cos of her not knowing these false histories of same characters in different books written differently(translated). it is better she won't get confused. I see the show only for pure entertainment to see a love story as i mentioned not to see/know how in 16th century the polygamous status worked out. i don't want to know whether ruq is important or someother begum is important to akbar. as it is love story i want jodha only imp begum of akbar. i enjoy their love story. like me there r many who r interested not in pure history. they r interested in love story for their time pass nd entertainment after a hectic work not an indepth analysis to submit research papers. otherwise how the chemistry of leads globally acclaimed as the best???
when it comes to leads r one of the best leads till date chosen by ektha. they not enacted they lived their charactrs to the appreciation nd liking of lakhs of viewers. . craving for them in all social sites for their jodi to be repeated is an example of how they r loved by many without showing any disparity who is great nd who is less. infact the actors they never had such feelings as one is great nd the other is less. it is in the minds of some people to satisfy themselves their favourism to bash lead actress. they r superb complementing each other in looks nd acting skills.
finally across the globe almost 90% liked the lead pair for their looks chemistry nd their acting prowess in bringing the characters to life infront of us.

further i feel it is the story nd scenes, dialogues nd actors r main for the success of the show not a director. credit cannot be given to only director or one actor the same show is directed by 4 or 5 directors. every director had for his credit good episodes nd highest trps too.

Exactly akdha we cannot see them separately. they compliment each other in acting in looks nd in versatality. all the social sites almost cried when the show ended abruptly nd series of trending nd requests to ekta nd other channels to cast them again is an example of their popularity. many akdha fans are parijath fans. ofcourse minority always who want to show them alag from the crowd exist in this world. the joke is the leads never had any differences between them and they gave their best performances as thorough professionals decently nd entertained millions across the globe. One of myuncle who was in this field for many years nd worked as guest roles in many shows due to his professional constraints used to say that in this field 2 gossips go round in the industry as they don't see face to face or involved romantically always. so actors also ignore them but only fans take them seriously.

Thanq hely. infact u r all very good writers nd present ur opinions in an elegant manner nd i am an occasional writer. as the show is picking up intense drama with gripping scenes i wanted to enjoy the show nd the comments we share with out intense analysis or postmartem with ifs nd buts. so i wanted to express my feelings. i like both akdha equally the characters nd the actors. but the poor jodha character is often crticized so i want to do gun gaan or bhajan of her after observing 2 yrs intense hatred for the character by a minority of viewers but just like stone under tooth while eating the whole feeling will be spoiled while reading the comments. i don't say that as an open forum everybody has right to express their feelings but i too shd express my feeling that is swelling out from heart after 2 yrs nd happy to note in forum also many bhajan group is there for jodha. i am a member for akdha bhajan group nd sometimes in this tug of war i feel i have to support the other party also. i like 90% viewers enjoy the show solely for entertainment purpose nd contributed to trp these 2 nd half years with many across the globe

Thanks anisha, Yah leave about history we people viewers many in lakhs enjoyed that jalal who fell for jodha in their love story nd passionatley loved each other (passionately means not on screen bedroom scenes as any decent actor don't prefer whether married r not married nd not wanted also by many viewers on screen as we don't show ourlove to partner in the market or for that matter in the house also) Yah as per history he may be a warrior nd other very good qualities r there but ektha never promised to show those qualities. she wanted to present only his other angle in love which noone touched that side till date nd 20% history only she said she will show during launch of the show. Yah many viewers liked him in this avataar only kyunki they would have hated him normal viewers if he is shown his arabian nights withall other begums 500 or 5000- 1 or 2 in each episode he he!!!! The devi maa expressions during love scenes or half inch, 1 inch or 2 inchdistances in their hugs, front hug or back hug or side hug many didn't observe when the necessary feeling they could emote by 2 decent actors.

thanq dear, i had same opinion right from the beginning of the show nd u don't believe a khandaan of around 60 members used to watch the show. being very elderly people of the family with family roots still in rajasthan they know many stories about their love storyJA. some tracks which were not true as per history still they enjoyed the show as a means of entertainment. they never analysed nd didn't give chance or took it serious. yah Abhay's blog gave lot of insight into the history. but to bring it as it is . tough n needs high budget. so many enjoyed his blog for true history nd show for sheer entertainment. don't worry harshu is doing great job in providing us analysis of each episode detailedly nd many like minded people r sharing their id.eas very pleasantly in cool manner for our mental peace. we r after all normal common viewers with out any high level knowledge about dominating males in driver seats nd females sitting in back seats as we know present status of women nd don't know or bother about 16th century females. so let us enjoy from now on the show will be very interesting.
