Revealed : The reason why Jodha Akbar was replaced by Tashan-e-Ishq on Zee TV
Jodha Akbar one of Zee TV's popular show went off air this Friday to make way for Tashan-e-Ishq.It performed decently on the ratings front but the channel axed it recently.
An insider source explained the politics behind Jodha Akbar going off air,"Tashan-e-Ishq is produced by Essel Vision Production (owned by Zee TV and content engine of the channel) and the channel had to give the show a prime time slot. Jamai Raja's produced by Akshay Kumar's production house,so Zee TV didn't pull the plug on Jamai Raja.Zee TV moved Qabool Hai to the 7:30 pm IST slot to make way for Magnus opus Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani at the 9:30 pm IST slot."
On asking the insider source that why Jodha Akbar didn't get the 7:30 pm IST slot,he replied :
"Jodha Akbar was one of the most costly venture of Zee TV, the channel didn't want to make a loss at the 7:30pm IST slot as no show was was rating well,so Qabool Hai was a more safer bet, which has a medium budget."
