All those initial criticisms for the ruthless Jalal were put to rest soon. Rajat surely gave his career best as Jalal.

I think for me,Prithvi was ideal. Whats not to like in Prithvi u know? Rajat for me will always be that sweet little boy who rode the horse and challenged the winds as he did it in PRC. This is precisely why he impressed me in JA. Those who have followed his career will know what I mean.

Jalal in JA was quite different from the Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar previously portrayed in any project-tv or films. This Jalal was unapologetic about his ruthless behavior,didnt believe in love,destroyed everything that got in his away. I immensely enjoyed watch Tokas playing the bad boy. Man,I had a serious crush on him. 😆

His transformation from this heart of stOne to heart of gold was beautifully portrayed in the first 6 months of JA. Which for me,was the actual journey of JA. Everything went haywire after that. Jalal was reduced to shreds,his brain was frozen and the harem-least I said the better.

Anyway when I think back,I think the promos of JA were great. Seeing Rajat all grown up and back with the sword was like the best thing ever! 😆

Memorable scenes for me? Hmm,let me think. The first scene-soul talk. Man,that did things to my insides 😆 His voice modulation had drastically improved and his voice had become raspy. Then there was this one scene where he is sword fighting and he hears about Jodha for the first time,the way his eyes played when he said "Jodha" were really well done. He's good with the smirk u know?

The Gangaur track was my favourite. I love him in the Rajput getup! 😆 The gangaur ghaati scene,where he sees Jodha for the first time. Eeeks. Me loves! And then the scene where he picks up her anklets from fire. Ouch. I loved those scenes!

Next,this jungle mein mangal scene,he is in his skyblue sherwani,Jodha saves the dear,he senses her,and then they go round round. Haha. I really liked that scene. Rajat's expressions there were interesting.

Next the sukanya track. It was great really. The innuendos,the teasing.

Hey u guys remember the boat-ride scenes? Awww. I miss that phase!

Next would be Jalal-Jodha first night. He scared the hell out of Jodha! 😆

But Rajat's best scene was where he had that face-off with Jodha during that sujamal-jodha misunderstanding track. His anger,his pain,Rajat emoted each and every scene so well! Damn! This was his best scene.

Even that dream sequence where he tells Jodha how much he loves her. Heart-breaking.

I may have grown out of my crazy childhood crush,and may not like him offscreen anymore,but I will always admire the actor in him. Always.

I hope he returns to tv soon with another good project. Good luck to you Tokas!

P.S : Guys those who dont remember me,Im Disha. I really miss discussing JA with you. What a journey this has been.

For me best has to be when he picks her Payal from the fire and the Dargah scene where he prays for her life. There are many more, as he has excelled as Jalal👏
