Today's episode was one of self-realization and spiritual awakening for Akbar.
'That man always reaps the fruits of his action' has been revealed to Akbar in a brilliant manner by the Creatives, with natakiya roopanter and dialogues in place.👏 👏.I particularly loved the scene when the child-like ( thereby denoting purity ) part of Jalal's conscience, appears. "Where were you", Jalal asks, I am part of you, I'm within you, he replies" calmly, simply and beautifully. The child actor enacting that part has portrayed his role to perfection. For someone so young, he has understood the characters' needs very well and brought life to it. His serene face has given the character the much needed edge. Depicting Jalal's conscience as child-like and pure, the message that is being conveyed is, every human has a good pure side to him/her. Certain experiences unleashes the good within you, thereby teaching you valuable lessons of life. In this case, it opens Akbar's eyes towards righteousness.Jalal questions his conscience as to why Jodha in spite of being a loving, caring, giving, duty bound human, is suffering for his wrong choices and his mistakes. Jalals' conscience reveals to him that he is suffering as a result of his own inactions."How can you expect to be happy when you have rendered hundreds homeless, uprooted the graves of the seers, and earned the wrath and curses of thousands of your subjects?" asks his conscience. The present circumstances are making Jalal realize the pain and sufferings that his decision had caused for hundreds of his subjects whose welfare and happiness, rests in his hands. He sets off to rectify his mistakes as suggested by his conscience. The child in Jalal's conscience also reveals to him that both his and Jodha's souls are one, hence when one suffers, the other one feels the pain. The benefits of Jodha's good karma will be reaped by him and the effects of his wrong deeds will be experienced by her. His conscience also tells him that both his and Jodha's goals are one, in this journey of life. Hence while she is bodily suffering, he is experiencing the pain emotionally. This makes them true SOUL MATES." A soul mate is a person whose love is powerful enough to motivate you to meet your soul, to do the emotional work of self discovery, of awakening"This quote is apt for the self discovery in the lives of Jodha and Akbar. This episode has to be one of the finest ever in the entire run of the serial. The dialogues mouthed by the child in Jalal's conscience were extremely profound. For many of us, the episode was an emotional one, especially the scenes between Jodha and Akbar. Both Paridhi and Rajat were brilliant today. The scene when he comes to inform her about going to undo several of his mistakes, was an outstanding one. When the sick Jodha asks him to move away from her, for fear of him contacting the infection, Jalal simply replies, ' when our fate is one, souls are one and destination is one, how can I be harmed in anyway?' His wish to see her healthy and welcome him with the 'aarti thali,' upon his return, is an impetus for her quick recovery. Jodha telling him that she is going nowhere because there is a lot of fighting, and merry making left to be done, was really well enacted by Paridhi. She tells him that she can bear the pain of her illness but not the sight of his tears, and that nothing is going to happen to her.'A soul-mate is one who makes life come to life.' Akbar will do that for Jodha.😊I am hoping that this 'good' NR continues and the Creatives don't tamper it with excessive EK style drama during Jodha's recovery phase.Another poignant scene that stood out today was the one where Akbar steps down to stroke the injured, bleeding horse. There is yet another scene that prompted me to think ( a lot 😔 ) was the one when Akbar wonders how Jodha alone fell sick in spite of him, Rukaiyya and other family members also being exposed to the affected people, in the camp. I don't intend to sound negative or nasty but somehow I have never bought Rukaiyya's goody goody act and today, my suspicions have increased tenfold. Like Radhika and Bea, I too believe that she will reveal her true self when we least expect it.
Charu what a beautiful post. aww u write so well...👏 Just like the episode, this post of yours is touching and I just loved it.
