Hi all,

This is off-topic but wanted to make a short post on this.

Today is January 15 and it is the 66th Indian Army Day.

Army Day is celebrated on 15 January every year in India, in recognition of Lieutenant General (later Field Marshal) K. M. Cariappa's taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India, in 1949.

Just making this post as a tribute to them , to salute their indomitable courage & valour .
Extremely proud of their dedication & determination.

Thanks so much Abhay for this very thoughtful post. I salute them from the bottom of my heart. No doubt they are real Heroes, committing themselves and sacrificing their lives to protect our country.

Kudos to you for reminding us about the REAL heroes who are constantly on duty safeguarding our nation . I salute the valor of the men/women of the Indian army.
