Meena Bazars are always a grand, enjoyable affairs in Agra, and today was no exception.
As always Man Singh, Todarmal, and Rahim were part of the baby-sitting committee. Rahim must have been thrilled that he was finally getting to go the bazar(though he didn't look like it, why is the dude always bummed out?😕).
And now Ruqaiyya has two sides of her conscience, you know like they show in movies and shows, one evil with a red face, horns, black robes, and a pointy tail, and the other angelic, with a fair face, halo, white wings, and white robes, (I usually find black fun, and white blah, but, whatever), only in her case, the spirits are in the form of eunuchs. Good - Hoshiyar, Evil - Resham. 😆
Moving to Meena Bazar, had Salim selling stuff that would thrill Restaurateurs (copper utensils for serving Mughaliya curry - is a Desi Hotel cliche as widespread as gajar ka halwa in pre 90's Bolly flicks).
And Shekhu baba was obliged to do what Leonardo did to Kate Winslet in the Titanic poster, kiss the maiden's hand. 👏
It was all great till the new irritant of Agra made an entry. She might grow up to be Anarkali, but right now she's cactus kali, and making cow eyes at the wrong prince. If this continues picture this,
Akbar-e-Azam - Anarkali, did you flirt with Salim in my absense?
Anarkali - Sorry for the mix-up, that love letter was for Murad, but, you know Salim...
Man Singh - Somebody call the doc, Shahenshah has fainted!
But, the best part was the very end, with Shahenshah, helping out his very dear bhanji without compromising her dignity, and making her feel bad about herself. 👏 By the way has Shahenshah learnt multiple arrow archery from Beghumsa, and with different targets, that was impressive. 👏
