Mansi nice narration of the episode and also analysis on love & obsession.
Mansi from the way Salim has turned out so soft spoken, who cares for even the birds etc, it is difficult to believe that he will be the same boy who will say 'cut the throat' unless that person has done some damage to one of his pets. And about him favouring his mother's choice though looked great in yesterday's episode when Ruqu had to say its OK, our shehezada will wear only whatever he likes had triggered a nerve in my temple that this quality of her will win over adolescent Salim when she supports his habit to watch Anarkali's dance than some warfare practice. While Jodha & Jalal will insist him to study (politics) and practice marshal arts, he will be interested in enjoying the music and dance at Anarkali's place and as usual, Ruqu will do the erxact opposite of what Jodha says and she will encourage him to spend time with Anar there by he will not only be obsessed with her dance and beauty, he may get used to drinks. That is the norm at dancer's place (in those days) to serve their mehman with drinks or they used to make them drink with their own hands. So Anrakali may start serving him JAM whenever he visit her place to watch dance and gradually will get close to him. This may be directly encouraged by her mother (Saguni bai's prophecy) as she may think that her daughter is destined to live in palace while Ruqu will encourage indirectly thinking that is the norm for a upcoming king to enjoy, dance, music drinks and woman.
After watching uesterday's episode, I strongly believe Murad is Salima Begum's son (either biological or adopted) but not Jodha's son. There is no way he can call Salima as Ammijan, if he is Jodha's child as Salim still calls Ruqu Badi Ammi so, if he were Jodha's then even he would have called Salima Badi Ammi only. Only when they have different mother's kids will find it hard to believe that despite they being son's of a same father, why they should be treated differently? And hatred for the elder one will be evident in younger one if he happens to be the son of a second or third wife as their position in the hierarchy will be insignificant. (I have watched this in Rana pratap serial also) and also has read it in many history books.
Hider must have got all those information about his father and grand mother either by Resham or by the gossips from the Harem corners. Or even it could be from his mother Javeeda who would have said those details to him to make him aware that being a villain is wrong and how any wrong deed will end up in losing everything but as a young boy he would have taken it in the reverse way.
Yes I loved Rahim and Maan Singh and especially Maansingh's Mushtache and Rahim's naughty, crooked smile while he was hearing Murad's complaints. They looked adorable.
Just to show the Salim's love for his Dadi, they had to celebrate Humayun's birthday and make Hamida Bhanu cry?????? Yaar I had not seen her shedding tears for her late husband anytime earlier. But I think they wanted to include this to make Salim utter those words that he will marry her to ward her distress. Later when Jodha said he can't marry his dadi, he said you only said earlier that a wife is the one who cooks tasty food, feed & keep him happy, so my granny does all those things for me and so I will marry her. He may use this as his points to marry Anarkali that he can't see her in distress and she loves him, adore him and take care of him in every possible way and that is the reason, he wants to marry her and support her.
Anyway, lets see how things move forward. Looks like Rahim will have full time job to bring harmony among his little brothers.

Jaya you have voiced the fears that all of us are having that this Ruq is going to exploit the ambitiousness of Anarkali's mother and corrupt Salim with drink etc. That will be my worst nightmare if he falls for it. How sad it will be!

That's a good point, Jaya!

He definitely has Adham's qualities to be sure. I want to see if he has Maham's qualities also in big measure!

It will take me some time to relate this handsome and fun-loving young man as our little Rahim that used to hide behind beds and sofas!

hi mansi,
in jal's soul talk - he said that salim aapke tharh dilse sochtha hai bachpanse- so def now 100% jo later when jal rejects anu's love he may become like jal that to 25% only.
in jo's soul talk- she said that salim is different from others and that is true. we can not say his actual nature right now and his arguments were quite acceptable like his argument with jo at hamam and jo was unable to say in return.
and yest episode was just trailer aur picture abhi baaki hai.now salim is good boy who follows his mother's words.and one more thing i observed is salim is very close to his mother and respects her views and follows that not like others. his arguments are very pleasing not hurting any one.

Yes we don't yet know how Salim will evolve when he is affected by circumstances, but by Nature he seems to be pleasing and not hurting.
