I guess the uproar Is due to 2 things

1 Jalal hasn't really been shown to be smitten or even attracted to anyone except JO, and had this baby happened during recent Jo Ja seperation it would have been ok. But after he entire majnufication, and showing him to be a one woman man, it seems a little abrupt ,something g like chittor war- show never did show the emperor Jalal who actually had a political agenda and then suddenly a OTT war...similarly show never did show polygamous setup correctly and sensitively and now suddenly another wife is preganant without any plausible background

2. Salima has still been shown to be deeply in love with Bk , remember the taajposhi scnene,and bk has been shown to be a father figure, not to mention Jalal's reasons to marry salima was to provide her with support and safety after bk death. So Jalal salima relationship was always always shown to be platonic.

Anyway, I guess the news is just to get viewers interest back into the show, and generate an a out of curiosity - I for one no longer care, let Jalal have kids with queen Victoria for what it's worth !
