also mansi...salim had immense respect for his mother and addressed her as ammi hazrat as rashmi said...the only Emperor who would touch the feet of his mother but trust the so called balaji natkiya roopantar to kill even that to glorify ruqaiyya and her antics...

Mandy I have been hearing this end November deadline for nearly three months now. I got it from people who know Balaji sources and then I got it directly from someone senior in the Marketing team at Zee. So I am led to believe the end of the serial is going to around the 20th of November-ish.

The only question is when will the new SA start? Some say it will just be a leap in JA and the name of the serial will be the same but the story will be of SA and it will start in November itself. Some others say that there will be a gap of few months and SA will start in January as a Sequel.

Regarding the actors continuing, I heard that both RT and PS had said No to continuing with a 15 year age difference although they didn't mind a 5-year age difference. This rumour seems to have been true for they did bring out a promo which shows them as parents of a 5-year old Salim.

Now its a toss up whether RT will continue to play Salim with someone older playing his Mum and Dad. The pros and cons (acc to the Zee Marketing guy) are that RT has to be in a semi-bad-guy sort of role, and the story ends in tragedy, and he has to go against a character playing his own father who he acted as. Will the public see discordance if the same actor is now Salim and going against his own old role (so to speak). From Salim's point of view hgis father is a semi-villain, and from the father's ppoint of view Salim is turned out spoilt and craven. So whether RT wants to play the Salim role is debatable - not just to RT but to the PH and Channel also that are apparently debating whether it would be wise to cast him. Also from RT's point of view to be typecast in history/mythology roles is not good, I suppose, and especially Salim's character is not the best to be in, I guess. So I don't know if they will ask him or he will take it. I heard he wants a break.

These are all the sorts of rumours and tidbits I have been hearing. I am not overly believing anything of all this till I see it on screen. So while I have shared what I know, please don't set any store by all this. We don't know who is right and who is wrong, and what is the truth and what are the rumours.

mansi, thx for the info! i too think that what you have heard is quite possible..SA will happen but as season2 i believe and will be more like mughal-e-azam..and they will have to get new jodha and akbar who will look old..rajat acting as a 45 year old will not look as convincing and rajat as salim i do not know how that might work..as i am a huge akbar fan but salim was kinda not my favorite but if rajat might act as salim then i would not mind watching it!
