I don't think there will be a big leap. A little leap for child Salim. The CV's are incapable of Epic romance, they have shown only negativity and misunderstandings for the past year. That is hardly likely to change.

With little Salim, hopefully Jodha's position becomes stronger with Jalal and Ruqaiya. Moreover there has been too much bitterness in the serial for too long, cut little Salim will bring happiness to the show.
