Friends, today I really have to make my post very short due to work pressure. So let me just cover three quick topics ...
The best night that Jalal and Jodha spent together got all mixed up with this death!
Alas, we were all waiting for another night like the SR night and hoping to see it in all these episodes that went by. And what do you know, we got it, it was steamy and sensuous, maybe even more so than the SR night itself ... but it was interrupted every ten seconds by the sad and unpleasant scenes of Zeenat trying to get Zakira and Moti out of the way and then poisoning poor Husein from some powder in her finger ring!
The whole thrill of watching Jalal and Jodha tumble and roll in their passion was lost in the sheer suspense of what Zeenat would do (given that her finger glove was lost) that I had to see the episode again and again to see what I had missed of the Jodha-Jalal action scene beech beech mein.
Then a brainwave struck, I put the whole scene into my movie editor software, removed the poisoning scenes and the child scenes and made myself a movie of just Jodha and Jalal and then saw that about 8-10 times just for thrills! I think it was a shade better even than the SR scene, because it was definitely more passionate and a wee bit bolder!
There is a lot of hand over hand, and shoulder rubbing and face holding and hair caressing etc. ... but there's a particular part of the scenes where Jalal covers Jodha's face with his own face that looks really sensual. I thought that was the best scene of the episode, but it lasted barely for the blink of an eye! So if you want to watch that on my recommendation you have to keep your eyes peeled for that split-second!
Folks, look what the CVs could have given us when we asked for more romance ... and what they did not give us till the day of the death of Husein! What kind of sadists would give us some of the best passion scenes so far in the serial in the gaps between the scenes of the heinous poisoning of their small hapless baby! Really CVs, your sense of screenplay confounds!
But anyway there's a limit to re-watching romance when a baby is dead, so I also decided enough of watching "that" and let's focus on the poor baby, and I eventually came back to the storyline!
The behaviour of Ruq ... things are set up now for a huge showdown for her!
What can we say about Ruq's behaviour folks after she learnt of the death of Husein? She was just a piece of herself!
We knew we would have an unadulterated version of her diatribe and we got it. But how many of you thought that when that great oratory came it would be so "thanda"?!
Things were set up when she tried to wheedle the hakima to let her go to Husein the previous night itself, but the hakima said "One more night away from the child and you will then be able to safely have him back." That sentence itself told me that Husein would never come back to Ruq.
In a way I feel sad that Husein died when he was with Jodha, for it would have meant less soulless screeching from the banshee the next morning! But unfortunately the child died when with Jodha and we were forced to watch the whole naatak of Ruq pretending to be grief-stricken at the thought of losing a child. All the while all of us knew that it was not the mother who lost the child, but the BEK that lost the MUZ, but still we had to listen to the monologue at high pitch!
Ruq did the shouting a bit too systematically and all through Jodha looked dazed and wide-eyed with disbelief - and Jalal looked aghast and sort of dazed himself, narrowing his eyes against the onslaught by Ruq! Ruq shouted generally at her great loss as a mother losing her baby, and then rounded up on Jalal and said to him "You brought that great farman for me to sign and say I would be a good mother - now where is your voice?"Jalal just remained silent. And then she rounded up on Jodha and said in as many words that she was nothing short of a murderess. She said she Jodha killed both babies (she actually said "donon bachon ko tum khaa gaye ho!) and who can make up the loss of Husein to Ruq? Jodha was thus labelled as negligent.
The best part of the whole tirade was when Ruq asked Jodha "Where were you last night when the baby died?" and both Jodha and Jalal had to bite their tongues. Jalal looked mighty guilty and so did Jodha. I suspect this forced silence on their part is later going to burst out as self-deprecation on both sides for having spent the night of their child's death making love!
I fully expect that Jalal will go to extremes and declare that "love" is the cause of his child's death and hence his "dil" has to be got rid of and he has to become again the jallad! And Jodha may well rue her own motherly instincts being so weak as to make her forget her child and remember only her own and her husband's "dil ka needs"! Jalal and Jodha are sure to be so distraught at losing both their kids that they will make a full display of blaming themselves and their love! Alas, we have to watch that self-flagellation - and bit of it is already in the new promo!
One thing I want to say about Ruq though. When today in the Wednesday episode it comes out that Zeenat was the murderess of both babies, and it was Ruq who hired her despite Jodha offering to feed Husein herself as his dai maa, the tables are going to turn on Ruq. If it happens that there is a cascading effect and Zeenat's downfall therefore turns the spotlight on Ruq and leads to Ruq's downfall also, will we get an admission from Ruq that she wanted not the baby itself but the audha that came with it?
If she does say that in open court, then every word that Ruq uttered yesterday against Jalal and Jodha, and the whole display she gave us yesterday, should be torn word for word apart and thrown back in her face as proof of her deceitfulness! I just hope Jalal is of the mind to do that and ask Ruq "What of all those words of so-called pain and loss and grief you put on display yesterday? Was it all just nautanki inspired by the MUZ audha you thought you had in the palm of your hand? Now eat all your words in public!"
The capture of Zeenat and Qasim ... will it lead to Ruq also being caught?
I thought, despite the Tatasky spoiler that Zeenat and Qasim would get caught, that we were at least two days away from the capture of the deadly duo. But the heartening thing was that in the precap yesterday itself it looked they were almost caught. The Palace was surrounded by soldiers, and Jalal was barking orders to nab the culprits the minute he knew that Zeenat had minded Husein at that fatal part of the night that the hakima confirmed the baby had died. We then saw Zeenat and Qasim bundle up their belongings and baby and try to flee. But they seemed by the precap, to be well-surrounded and unable to leave the Palace and so their capture and arrest is but a formality now.
The interesting sidelight is the way Ruq then seems to be holding the baby of Zeenat hostage and saying "An eye for an eye, see what I can do to your baby, if you don't spill the truth!" Sure Zeenat will spill the truth, but Ruq baby, when Zeenat admits culpability it's going to boomerang in your face and I want to watch that! So the more the heroics Ruq does with Zeenat's baby trapped in her hands, the worse it's going to get for Ruq herself!
The absorbing thing for me is going to be the ramifications of the capture of Qasim and Zeenat. She may say that she was the one who with her husband plotted the killing of the twins in revenge for the blinding of her father-in-law by his brother Humayun. But even if she has nothing at all implicating Ruq in any of the baby poisonings, I feel Ruq is incriminated indirectly anyway ... because it was she who allowed Zeenat into the close circle surrounding the babies, and despite Jodha offering to officiate as the dai maa for Husein, Ruq deliberately brought in Zeenat as her stand-in dai maa and trusted the babies with her ... and in the end the family paid for the negligence of Ruq in not verifying the antecedents of Zeenat and for being too happy to hire her on the spot, despite there having been so much treachery against Jalal and Jodha of late from within the family itself!
Folks, I tried many prediction options myself of how exactly after the capture of Zeenat on Wednesday this Ruq also can get caught by Thursday itself ... but none of my ideas were as simple, as fast and as elegant as the prediction Diksha sent me. So I thought I'll paste this Diksha prediction here!
"Jalal will blame Ruq for employing Zeenat and for trusting her more than Jodha ... and thus being responsible for kids death indirectly. And then he'll ask Ruq what punishment she should get? And he'll decide to give her talaaq ..."
"Ruq, to stop Jalal from giving talaaq, will say "How can I even think of hurting the kid when he was my key to MUZ". Jalal will be disgusted but Ruq may use her wish to stop talaaq. Jalal will then cut all ties with her."
Bas khatam!
What a super duper way to end the track by Thursday itself?! I wrote to Diksha saying this idea - and -she - were pure genius and she replied "Why, did you think any differently?"
Nope! None of my ideas were anywhere as fast and good, so Diksha deserves the takht and taaj, I think!
Since lots of spoiler pictures have already appeared of Mansingh in army fatigues and other pictures show the woman of the Palace with Jodha among them, I suspect the Creatives have already progressed to shooting the next tracks and it involves some war but it does not involve Jodha going to Amer. The fact that the spoiler pics have already appeared on the Forum strongly suggests the Ruq pardaphash will indeed take place this week itself! Phew! I have had too much of Ruq of late and will be glad to see the end of it all!
I just hope that Maddy's and my atma can have shanti by Ruq being accosted by Jalal in the open DEK. We so need that!
All that happened in yesterday's episode:
Jalal and Jodha get carried away with each other and spend the night making love. Meanwhile Zeenat tells Zakira and Moti the three of them can take turns with the baby care. They agree. Zeenat says she will care after Zakira and sends Moti to sleep. Meanwhile Jalal and Jodha are really making a night of it.
When its Zeenat's turn to care for the baby she opens her finger ring and takes out some poison powder and applies it to Husein lips saying "alvida" to him. Moti then comes for the care and Zeenat slips away happy at the job completed. Moti thinks the baby is asleep. Ruq is told by the hakima that after one more night she can be with Husein again and she's happy.
After being with Jalal for a large part of the night Jodha slips back to her room and sees the baby asleep and goes to sleep herself. In the morning Jodha shocked to see Husein cold and without response. She senses he is dead and wails in agony. Jalal, Bharmal, Hamida, Salima and Ruq run to her. They are aghast at Husein's state!
Meanwhile Zeenat runs to Qasim saying her job is done. They pack their child and things and get into a fluster to leave the palace fast. Ruq meanwhile is foul in abusing and sundry all that her child is dead. She shouts generally of her fate but then zeroes in Jalal and says "You took a farman from me for motherly care ... now what answer do you have?" Then she blames Jodha as a murderess.
She says to Jodha "Where were you last night when the child died?" Jalal also looks guilty and lowers his head as Jodha is emotionally guilty broken. Ruq shouts hysterically that Jodha has killed both children and acts grief stricken at her loss. Jalal is just listening but not responding. Then the hakima says "It looks like the child was poisoned at about midnight."
Jalal suddenly gets on the boil and hears that Zakira, Moti and Zeenat were with the child in turns through the night. Zeenat is nowhere to be found in the room and Jalal shouts "Catch and bring her here."
In the precap, Qasim and Zeenat are unable to escape the palace as Jalal has put guards everywhere saying "Catch them". In another shot Ruq is seen holding Zeenat's baby and saying "An eye for an eye ... i will harm your baby if you don't spill the truth!"
Okay folks, we seem close to the end. Hang in there and hopefully by the end of the week another track should start.
Jalal cannot afford to be angry with Jodha, even if he and Jodha are both angry with themselves for having given in to passion instead of attending to the baby. But who knows, another baby may be on the way too, so we can't say how all this will shape up.
Maybe the after-anger of Jalal will see him trying to unleash it all out in war?
Let anything happen, so long as Ruq is sidelined. That will be enough for me for the time being!
