They say love is blind...maybe because there is someone who loves you way before you saw the world! And that person is your mother!
She nurtures, cares, loves, scolds and guide us throughout our life.
She is the one who becomes our root, holding us strong to the ground yet pushing us high up the sky!
Keeping her child before everybody (including herself) she shoves away the dusk and brightens the dawn.
She is a mother...a part of God!

There was a mother, who loved her son a lot..a son who was not hers. It wasn't that she didn't had a child of her own and had o be a foster mother ! She became one, because she loved him, loved him with all her heart!!
She came in his life as a saviour when his own mother left him to reside in safe place with her husband.
She was none other than Maham Anga -a mother, a guide,a teacher to Jalal. Jalal who was younger to her own child Adham, yet blessed to be fed by her!!
A child who craved for a mother's love at a tender age...a child who knew nothing...saw nothing except blood...blood of his family...blood of his people...at the age when he was supposed to play with toys..laugh and enjoy with kids of his age!
But at that time, no one came to his rescue except a mid-wife!
Ignoring her life...her safety...her child...she saved Jalal!
Was it all for her own selfish reasons?
Was it just because she had a motive behind it?
Was it simply because he was the future king and she wanted to come in his good books?

The great Akbar as we know him...! Who made him this great that world bows down to him till date?
It was no one but Bairam Khan and Maham Anga!
Had they not taken things in their hands...world would have never witnessed the greatness of such a warrior!
Yes, she did blunders, she conspirated against him...she wanted Adham to sit on the throne of Delhi...so was she wrong? Was she not royal?
She never hated Jalal...never in her entire life!!
She was a shield, a protector to him...no matter who stood against Jalal she was always there to take the arrows on her even if it meant to go against her own blood!

This was not just a word for her...but her entire world encapsulated within it!
NO person on this earth is a saint...everybody does their share of sin!
So did Maham, but does that mean she deserved hatred? Disrespect? Abuses?
She was a woman of substance...a woman who had the power to rule the world and to make the world according to her own convenience!
She was...a mother to Jalal...a shield to Jalal...a teacher to Jalal!!
She was Maham Anga...a lady who was above Jalal's own biological mother!
Because being a mother not always means giving birth...it means much more than that!
Maham Anga was a MOTHER to Jalal!
