Mandy what we are seeing is the take of both an Emperor and a son by Rajat - which is very very interesting and subtle - the Emperor put MA in solitary confinement so that she did no more conspiracies and compounded the issues thus forcing the Emperor's hand to punish a traitor - the curse et al was against the man which has hurt the man - the son - that a mother who professed to love him also had her own agendas and saw only the Emperor in him and not the son - this is a very interesting dichotomous take - and even the man - the son - is bound by the Emperor's ruling - and its also interesting to see that the Emperor ensured the solitary confinement so as not to cause the man and Emperor to be in conflict - and it is for this reason that Akbar was against Jodha's visits to MA as he felt that MA's bitterness could make her harm Jodha and that would force the Emperor's hand into punishing MA which the son did not want - thus the decision to send MA to Delhi - and since she had agreed to go and Jodha wanted a last visit - the Emperor agreed to the request - and if you note the precap - Jodha is speaking to the Emperor who will never change his stance - and the one who comes to bid MA goodbye is the son who never was angry - only hurt that the one who called herself his mother also started looking at what he stood for - and this dichotomy that Akbar so easily handles is just not understood by Jodha - Remember the Amer track and the scne where Jalal tells Jodha of the reality of wearing the crown at which she scoffs - and till date she has not understood that Akbar always keeps his personal feelings apart from his Emperor's duty - and she never will understand this dichotomy of his since for her both are the same.

I am really really liking Jodha since yesterday, esp in the precap today. This is how I expected her to be and missed her since episode 80. This is how HK would have been - very respectful to Akbar and his feelings and position as a king, yet influential, soft, subtle yet deep thinking, highly understanding and caring not just tin thoughts but also in words and methods of actions...😊
And Moti...😡, why didn't Khaibar smell her blood and carry her away...😡. What an authoritative voice and attitude when two chief queens were present.😡
Mahaam...I could have sympathised with her now, if she had not killed Jalal's babies even before they were born and deprived him of fatherhood for years. I can never forget the scene when she hugs him and consoles him when ruks loses her baby and he cries, so much tears and false sympathy after having killed the baby herself! 😡...she deserves what she is getting...some sins are too grave to be forgiven...But Jalal doesn't know that yet, hence he still loves her deeep down! Neither does Jodha know about that Khaand of hers...hence she calls the scale of goodness heavier.
Had MA died without Jalal by her side, Jalal deep down in his heart would not have forgiven himself for having forgotten all the good she did for him. His conscience would have pricked him always. This union before the final farewell will cleanse him of guilt if any. Had he not reconciled with Khan Baba before he left for Mecca, Jalal might have felt guilty throughout his life too. So it is all good for him anyway. The final farewell with Jalal by her side holding her hands...Jalal deserves it for a free conscience...though MA doesn't...or may be if she really does feel sorry for what she has done to Ruks and Jodha and her curse and ofcourse to Jalal, she deserves it too. She has sacrificed a lot for Jalal afterall.

Sandhya beautiful writing...

I wont go into what MA deserves? It is really very difficult to judge her...MA tried to sail on two boats which were going in opposite directions...AK and Jallu and she lost both...I dont know and dont want to say if MA deserves fogiveness or not, but I do know that Jallu doesnot deserves to live in guilt of his badi ammi dying alone...and this is what Jo realises...hence she is doing what she is doing...All this is for Jallu and her children...not for herself...and it is commendable...

I too am loving this new Jodha but dont know how long cvs will continue like this with her...

I am loving Resham too for her loyalty to MA even if it is misplaced...but she has depth of character...which MB lacks...HB did not fail to disappoint me either and neither did Ruku...

Uff Adi Uff..😆...I agree with you that MA is being sent to Delhi becoz of Jo...Jallu is doing this for Jo but Jo is also going to MA for Jallu only...They both are doing what they think is best for their lover...and neither is Jallu hard hearted...😲

I too am against Jodha going against his orders but this is an emotional issue and Jallu (or any man) will not able to solve it) so Jo needs to interfere...

Ela, I'm reading all your opinions about MA and JJ and I agree with every one of your observations. You've put it across very well, very logically. I agree with you that I wouldn't want to judge MA's right to forgiveness. And I understand better how Jo is approaching this after reading your comments here.

Ela, I was neither able to relate to Jodha nor accept her stance in Khyber's issue. I quite like what she is doing now. She is trying to help a dying person, who was Jalal's badi ammi, who had raised him and protected him many times putting her life in danger. Whatever her intentions could have been, she did love Jalal in her own way (though I find it difficult to understand her love for Jalal). Unlike viewers, JJ do not know about Maham's hand in the killings of Jalal's unborn babies. Had they known, I wonder if this reconcialliation would have ever happened or can be justified. Hence, CVs have conveniently forgotten about it to give a grand farewell to Maham or rather to Ashwini.

Jalal is angry and hurt but he does not hate Maham though. He still loves her deep down in his heart. His reconciliation with Maham is very important for his own piece of mind. However, he wouldn't have been able to do it on his own (as men have no clue as to how to go about it) and Jo is being shown to help him with / lead him towards it.

I liked when Jo asked Jalal for his permission to visit Maham. I think she finally understood how she is hurting him when she does things behind his back or without his knowledge, intentionally or unintentionally.

Nila I completely agree with you...We need to see MA's death in the light of JJ's devotion to each other...they both are doing what is best for each other...JJ are not seperate entity...they are one and Jo does not want Jallu to live in guilt abt MA and Jallu wants no harm for his kids and Jo...No one is right here and no one is wrong...I agree with you that Jallu being a man would not have known how to reconcile with MA...He needed Jo in this instance...again Jo has also realized that she has hurt Jallu and she should have confided in him abt Ma...I liked Jallu granting permission to Jo to meet MA and this showed his large heartedness...They both were so graceful in that scene...
