So many bakshi bano around in 21st century situation no different after 600 years
I am sure physical abuse will be 90% in this category and atleast 50% in age group of 20 and above married women in india
2/3rd children across the world from 2-14 years are hit by their parents, caregivers regularly
If you are a girl you have no reprive it seems first parents, brothers physically hit then husbands and in laws hit and later on sons and bahu's will abuse physically and mentally

Even more alarming is another UN report on suicides annually 8 lakh people commit suicide of which 2.5 lakh in india alone

I think society approves and sanctions abuse of girls whether daughters/sisters or wives that is why its still rampant. So no use blaming Bakshi saying she is husband side etc her family only approves of it and society around her approves wife abuse, beating etc and they blame bakshi only saying that sharif wanted an boy but its a girl so he is angry etc etc as if its in bakshi hand to give girl or boy. She has been tuned to think its ok if husband abuses and hits pati parameshwar hai in mynavati's words
talked of razia sultan - razia sultan was brought up independently like a boy without bias of daughter/son by her daddy not like jodha who was bargained to stop war although she is strong by her dad, not like bakshi brought up in fear and insecurity and to be dependent on brothers and husbands and sons.

Shocking! Thanks for the info. I don't understand the report on suicides. Is it female suicides or total suicides?
And what is the connection between suicides and abuse of women.
