Today was history in action ... it was amazing. And today was proof that if the CVs put their minds to bring history to life, they can!

And just so you can see the parallels ... I am putting an excerpt from the Akbarnama as another literary reference ... Jalal's wrath, Adham's intoxication of anger, the punishment, the brave khwaja shera, the role of the harem, the emotional breaking of Maham Anga, the dispensing of justice of the Shehenshah in front of all ... they captured it all. 👏

The CVs captured it all ... and how brilliantly executed by the actors- hats off to Jalal, Chetan, and Ashwini Khalsekar from bringing it too life so brilliantly. 👏

(1) Atgah Khan's final act ... it was not over yet. He had closed his eyes so Adham would leave him ... as soon as Adham Khan left he opened his eyes and called the Khwaja Shera to go alert Jalal. His final prayer to God to save Jalal was heart-wrenching ... but Destiny was indeed smiling on Jalal.

The bravery of the khwaja shera is described in the excerpt below ... great presence of mind. 👏

(2) Escalation of Jalal's emotions; Jalal was peaceful sleeping in his slumber ... as described in the verses below, "His majesty had gone to sleep ... but his fortune was awake." How perfect was that description of Jalal, sleeping without understanding

And what a beautiful escalation of Rajat's Jalal's emotions ...

He first wakes up in confusion on the commotion ... first erupts anger when he just thinks that Adham Khan is coming to attack him ...

But then when he finds out about Atgah Khan ... his body shivers to an entirely new level. I cannot even say it is anger it is something more. The way he was shaking when he screamed "Adham Khan" ... I was shivering.

(3) The confrontation between Jalal and Adham Khan: We have an angry Adham Khan, who in his anger had lost his reason and logic, moving towards the harem ...

And an angry Jalal meets him. An angry Jalal attacks Adham Khan. The fact that he attacked Adham from the back itself showed the extent of his anger.

A brilliantly executed fight ... with the final punch from Jalal with the vase.

(4) The dispenser of justice: In his anger, Jalal dispenses justice ... that he wants to give him a death that will make him feel the pain of all his crimes. The way he painfully described how he lost his Atgah Khan was amazing.

Jalal was brilliant describing painfully why he had always forgiven Adham Khan as he viewed him as his brother.

Then the punishment is announced- Adham Khan is to be thrown off the side ... till he dies. The first time he does not die.

And how poignant was Jalal's interpretation - that he will not die till he faces all his crimes. I found the reflection on Tasneem and how he treated his family here very poignant. And hence, the three throws till his death.

This chapter in Jalal's life is cited as an example of how he dispenses justice. And hence, I think the moment where he goes to his people to show why he did what he did and how this justice was above personal relations.

(5) Maham Anga , Maham Anga. What more can I say!

In the jail, Maham Anga's growing angst ... Paralleled the events that were happening outside ... as if her sixth sense was at its height.

Finally she came out, she saw Jalal ... and how her emotions and she herself broke down throught out the course of events was amazing.

First she sees a blood soaked Jalal ... the color disappeared from her face ... she knew the worst had happened. She would have never guessed that the blood-soaked Jalal she saw in her vision yesterday, was actually soaked with the blood of Adham.

Then, she shows concern for Jalal. It was something very touching that her first concern was if Adham had hurt Jalal ... then she moves to Adham

First she learns he is punished ... and thinks it is in the jail. And she blames her upbringing for his actions and not giving him importance.

Jalal's silences torments her ... her voice falters as she tries to figure out what has happened. She asks did you hit him?

Jalal finally tells her Adham killed Atgah Khan ... and her worst nightmares start coming true.

She breaks down to the next level ... thinking Jalal hit Adham Khan. She reaches the heights of desperation ... she is willing to give up breathing and water ... anything to save Adham.

Jalal immediately knew that Maham Anga could not bear the next truth ... and he took her in his arms... as he knew she needed the support ...

Maham Anga sees Javeda as a widow and she knows the truth. The way her eyes , face, and everything lose color and she just stands in shock. Maham Anga's silence said it all.

Even in history Jalal never let Maham Anga see Adham Khan's body as she would not bear it and I think they are showing the same here.

Jalal's silence also said it all ... and he did not say a word but he was traveling with Maham Anga emotionally the whole time.

Maham Anga's growing desperation and the final shock through this whole scene was amazing

And Rajat, you deserve every award just for this one episode ! Brilliance, sheer brilliance! 👏

On the precap, Jalal had once told Jodha that if you saw me as a warrior you would not recognize me ... and that is the moment she is currently at.

So, thoughts on the episode and the take?

I told a few folks I would share excerpts from Akbarnama related to the killing of Adham Khan ... and I would recommend reading it ... only for your to realize how you have truly witnessed a moment of history shown so beautifully.

Full credit goes to the source. Akbarnama: http://persian.packhum.org/persian/main?url=pf%3Fauth%3D7%26work%3D001

I would view this as one literary interpretation of the incident ... And it goes into depths to describe the emotions of one and all, including Maham Anga. I chunked it up in the bold sections so that it would be easier to read.

Volume II. CHAPTER XLIV.
THE PUNISHMENT OF ADHAM KHN BY THE JUSTICE OF THE
SHHINSHH.

A beautiful explanation of what such the Adham Khan incident significance and the role of Destiny in making Jalal the dispenser of justice

When the world-adorning Deity wills the bestowal of greatness on an unique one and exalts him to the high office of sovereignty He, in the first place, gives him far-seeing reason to be ever his unvarnished counsellor. After that He bestows on him wide forbearance so that he may bear the brunt of so many of the world's disagreeables and that he may, by the help thereof, refrain from dropping the thread of deliberation when he beholds such evils. Then he gives him the priceless jewel of justice, so that he can place the familiar friend and the stranger in the same balance and can comprehend the affairs of creation's workshop (the world) without being weighted by personal considerations, and can establish a school of instruction within his holy soul. Many sages who have made no error in testing knowledge have yet at the time for action become timid owing to the want of a wide understanding and let go the reins of carefulness, and so have fallen off in the arena of examination. When knowledge and endurance are suitably developed the marks of justice are evolved, without anxiety or delay, from the just temperament. Thanks be to God! These glorious excellencies and splendid qualities. are innate and constitutional in His Majesty the Shhinshh and spring from the plenteous house of Divine wisdom, uncontaminated by outward teaching or the decoration of human instruction. But that knower of the Creator's secrets keeps himself, for his own designs and reasons, under the veil of concealment, and spends his life in the garb of obscurity. Nor is he content with ever so many veils, but is always fashioning others in order that acute observers cannot penetrate them. But the Divine decree is paramount, and when God wills that mankind should become acquainted with his intrinsic beauty, what avails the screen? Of necessity his face must be unveiled and his beauty adorn the world so that those who are afar off from fortune's neighbourhood may reach the palace of devotion and have the chief seats in the court of acknowledgment.* What happened in Agra, the capital, is an example of the majesty and extensiveness of the justice of His Majesty the Shhinshh.

The actual killing of Atgah Khan

The account of this affair is that Adham Khn, the younger son of the cupola of chastity Mham Anaga, had neither understanding nor good conditions. He was intoxicated by youth and prosperity and was continually envious of Shamsu-d-dn Muammad the Ataga Khn. Mun'im Khn, the Khan-Khnn, also suffered much from this malady and used to throw out dark hints such as the generality could not comprehend and instigate Adham Khn to strife and intrigue. At length on the day of Isfandiyr 5 Khurdd, Divine month, corresponding to Saturday, 12 Ramzn, 969, 16th May, 1562, when the equability of Ardibihisht was still prevailing, an extraordinary occurrence, which was far from equability, took place. On a court-day (rz-i-dwn) Mun'im Khn, Ataga Khn, Shihbu-d-din Amad Khn and other magnates were sitting in the royal hall and transacting public business, when Adham Khn suddenly entered in a riotous manner and attended by others more riotous than himself. The members of the assembly rose up to do him honour and the Ataga Khn rose half-up. Immediately upon entering Adham Khn put his hand to his dagger and went towards the Ataga Khn. Then he angrily signed to his servant Khsham Uzbeg and the other desperadoes who had come with their loins girt up for strife saying: "Why do you stand still?" The wicked Khsham drew his dagger and inflicted a dangerous wound on the breast of that chief-sitter on the pillow of auspiciousness. The Ataga Khn was thoroughly amazed and ran towards the door of the hall. Immediately thereon Khud Bard came and struck him twice with a sword. That great man was martyred in the court-yard* (an) of the hall of audience. A loud cry arose in the palace on account of this outrage, and general horror was exhibited in that glorious abode.

Adham heads to the harem as Jalal is asleep ... highlighting the role of the Khwaja Shera and how the harem was witness to this

That doomed one in spite of his past audacity presumptuously advanced towards the sacred harem"to which may there be no access for the wicked"with evil intentions. His Majesty the Shhinshh had gone to sleep in the auspicious palace, but his fortune was awake. That black-fated one went up, sword in hand from the hall to the terrace (uffa) which went round the palace (qar) on all four sides, and was of the height of a man and a half. He tried to go inside, but Ni'amat the eunuch, who was standing near the entrance (darbr), immediately shut the door and bolted it. And though the presumptuous one, who was hastening to his death, spoke roughly to Ni'amat and bade him open the door, the latter did not do so. Those standing by the threshold had not the grace to inflict the punishment of his deed on that presumptuous and furious one at the beginning of his doings when he assailed the Ataga Khn. And what shall I say of their dumbfoundedness and cowardice when after forming such vain thoughts he tried to enter behind the curtains of fortune! Why did they not shed his blood? Why did they not level him with ignominy's dust? If they had not courage for that, why did they not make a general rush and surround him? Even then, how can I suppose that among those present in the palace there was no one who was loyal? Apparently there was a design in the perfunctoriness of those people, viz., that the perfect courage and justice of His Majesty the Shhinshh might be impressed on the minds of great and small, of the wise and the foolish!

Jalal awakens and first confrontation with Adham!

In short, His Majesty was awakened by the dreadful clamour and called for an explanation. As none of the women (pardagn, lit: veiled ones) knew of the affair he put his head outside of the palace-wall and asked what was the matter. Rafq* ib-i-cr mansab who was one of the old servants of the palace mentioned the facts. When His Majesty heard the horrible tale he was amazed and made further inquiries. Rafq pointed to the blood-stained corpse and repeated his statement. When His Majesty the Shhinshh saw the body he became nobly indignant. From a Divine inspiration he did not come* out by the door where that demented wretch was standing and meditating evil, but by another way. As he was coming out, a servant of the seraglio put into his hands, without his asking for it, the special* scimetar. His Majesty took the scimetar and went on. When he had passed over one side of the terrace and had turned into another he saw that villain, and there issued from his holy lips the words "Son of a* fool why have you killed our Ataga? That presumptuous wretch hastened to seize His Majesty's hands and to say "Inquire and deign not deliberate! There has been (only) a little* inquiry" (talsh). What reproach shall I make about the spectators of this convicted liar! No amount of reproach or contempt will fit their case!

The final punch from Jalal to Adham

At last His Majesty the Shhinshh withdrew his hands from his own sword and freed them from the grasp of that wicked one, and stretched out his arm to take Adham Khn's sword. Just then that outcast for all eternity withdrew his hand from His Majesty and turned it to his own sword. His Majesty withdrew his hand therefrom and struck him such a blow on the face with his fist that that wicked monster turned a summersault* and fell down insensible.

The punishment and true dispenser of Justice

Farhat* Khn and Sangrm snk had the good fortune to be present. His Majesty angrily said to them, "Why do you stand gaping there? Bind this madman." They two and a number of others obeyed the order and bound him. The righteous order was given that the fellow who had outstepped* his place should be flung headlong from the top of the terrace. Those shortsighted men out of consideration (for Adham), than which inconsideration would have been a thousand times better, did not throw him down properly, and he remained half-alive. The order was given to bring him up again, and this time they dragged him up by the hair and in accordance with orders flung him headlong so that his neck was broken, and his brains destroyed. In this way that blood-thirsty profligate underwent retribution for his actions. The fist of the Divine athlete of the world had made such a mark that those who did not know the facts thought that it was a mace-wound.

The reactions of Atgah's family and Jalal's lack of partiality to Maham Anga

When Ysuf Muammad Khn, the eldest son of the Ataga Khn, heard of the fate of his honoured father, he armed himself and his clan and lay in wait for Adham Khn and Mham Anaga. He did not know that the spiritual and temporal Khedive had executed justice, and had not had regard to Mham Anaga's position, but had in the judgment-hall of sovereign wrath inflicted condign punishment on the murderer who was taken in the fact.

Reactions of Maham Anga ... please notice the point around first thinking Adham Khan was just punished and then realizing his death ... and the loss of color from her face

In fine, His Majesty retired into the harem after performing such an act of justice. Mham Anaga, who was lying in bed ill in her own house, came to hear that Adham Khn had committed so great an act of violence, and that His Majesty had imprisoned him. Maternal love raised her up and brought* her to visit His Majesty in order that she might perhaps procure her son's release. When His Majesty saw her, he said: "Adham Khn killed our Ataga, we have inflicted retaliation upon him." That wise one of the age meekly said: "You did well," but she was not certain that her son had undergone capital punishment. Just then Bb* Najba Begam, the mother of Dastam Khn, came from Adham Khn's house and told Mham Anaga what had happened. She asked how they had killed him and the reply was, "There is the mark of the blow of a mace on the face: I don't know anything more." But that mark was from His Majesty the Shhinshah's fist and had been made by divinely-aided power at the beginning of the occurrence. When Mham Anaga knew for certain that her son had been put to death, she by virtue of her wisdom preserved her respect for His Majesty and did not complain or lament, but she became inwardly wounded by a thousand fatal blows. The colour left her face, and she wanted to visit the body. His Majesty the Shhinshh in regard to her long service spoke comforting words to her and consoled her somewhat, but did not allow her to go there in order that she might not behold her son in such a condition. In accordance with orders the two bodies were sent to Delhi that day. He addressed lofty monitions and heart-affecting exhortations to that wise old woman and permitted her to go to her son's house next day. That wise mourner went and expressed her resignation, and submitted to the Divine decree. Then she came to her own house and sat in grief and indulged in lamenting and weeping. The illness from which she was suffering grew worse, and the pillars of health were shaken. Forty days after this occurrence, viz., in Tr, Divine month, corresponding to Shawwl she went to the sacred abode of non-existence. His Majesty's loving heart was much affected by the fate of this cupola of chastity, and he expressed great sorrow. The body also was sent with much respect to Delhi, and His Majesty personally escorted it for some paces. All the state officers and the great ones of the sublime family paid the dues of respect and regret. In accordance with orders a lofty* building was erected over the tombs of Mham Anaga and Adham Khn.

The future of the Atgah Clan and Jalal working for their advancement

Similar mourning was made for the Ataga Khn. The hearts of his brethren and children were soothed, and the wounds of the whole clan were healed. H.M. devoted great attention to the educating of this faithful band and to the furthering of their advancement.

A beautiful concluding verse describing how it is because of how Jalal grieved for loyalty (like Atgah Khan) , that loyalty like Atgah Khan were willing to die for him

Verse.
If you grieve thus for any one
Many will be inclined to die.

Divi,
I was awed by the episode.

It was brilliantly executed, with RT and Ashwini wowing us. Man this is one talented duo, who manage to keep us hooked through the mundane tracks, and the fact that Maham will exit soon, gets me all nostalgic.

Anyways, here are the things I liked -
1. Atgah saab - The finaly prayer was seriously moving. I can imagine he must have felt really disappointed during his final moments, the Shahenshah he'd sworn to protect was unprotected without him, and the danger was looming on him every minute.
2. Jalaal - He was brilliant in each and every scene, but the way in which he kept reminding Adham of his crimes before flinging him down each time was chilling, he remembers everything.
The sword fight was also brilliant, the fact that he preferred to fling the vase at him to stun him when he lost his sword for a moment. Today we actually saw the Jallad.
3. Maham - Beautiful.
Right from her plead her jailers to let her out to warn Jalaal, her realization on watching Javeda in white. Even while she was talking to Jalaal about Adham, she was delirious. Her eyes were to die for. They already knew Adham was gone forever, but she refused to believe, finally when she saw Javeda, she realised that what she knew deep down was true. The way she released herself from Jalaal's hug, took a few drops of blood from Jalaal's neck, looked at it, said Adham and fainted. Class Act! 👏

Man! Ashwini is probably one of the most under-rated actresses of Bollywood, given the last time I remember seeing her in a movie was Golmaal 3 as Kareena's friend. Tsk tsk!

By the end of it my face was like Gulbadan Beghums.

I hope the precap is just an edited scene, and there's more to follow, else my disillusionment with Jodha will continue.

By the way TM telling the ladies to go in was a tad late, they had already seen the worse.

Ruqaiyya looked like she had seen what she had feared in Jalaal.

Thanks for the Akbarnaama excerpts, now MA as cupola of chastity was amusing...

Awesome post! You referred to RT as Jalaal? 😆

What an episode gals and guys - I am still numb !!!! And what class act and what brilliant direction of the last scene !!!!!!

Let me start with Rajat - I have no more adjectives and superlatives left - and today he has gone beyond all of it - I will definitely wait to see Shyamala's take on him in today's epi !!!!

Next is Ashwini - Khushi darling, this is definitely Ashwini's best so far!!!!

And last Chetan - He made us all feel bad for the bad guy - what better testimony to his ability than this!!!!!

Coming to that last scene of MA and Jalal, when Jalal takes MA into his embrace - what struck me was how this man has given his shoulder for all to lean on never asking for a similar succor - was he ever allowed to be a child - was he ever allowed to feel afraid - was he ever allowed to express insecurity - could he ever let himself feel dejected - This man gave of himself to all who asked and never expected anyone to do the same for him - yes one day Jodha will do for him what he does for her and all the others - but that day is not today - she still has not understood the ramifications of what AK's pardon would have on the Loyalists and the Separatists - She is still in some Shanghri - la where she thinks all mistakes can be pardoned and everyone would appreciate it and praise it - she does not realise that loyalty like Atgha's also demands a similar loyalty from the Emperor.

And when one watches this last scene again one will realise that thru out MA's tirade, Rajat kept an impassive face - Rajat's Jalal let MA get it all out as he held her in his arms knowing that she would not be able to hear the last and the bitterest truth and knowing that his silence to al her pleas would tell her all - Rajat the actor, did not poach on Ashiwini's MA - kudos to both the director and the actor for not impinging on Ashwini's MA thus giving us the opportunity to enjoy her performance - this is purely direction - to ensure that each character could shine thru

JALAL
Jalal was an animal awoken from his slumber - an animal who was rudely woken up to find half his family demolished by another predator.
They say a man guarding his family, his house and his horse is ten times more powerful than a warrior - it is true. I don't mean to say Jalal is any less of a warrior than Adham Khan. However, he was a warrior unprepared today. There were two blinded madmen in the battlefield today. One who was already raring to go and the other totally unprepared. One twice the size of another. Yet, Jalal was unstoppable - because, the strongest pillar of his administration and the closest male support to him was unfairly felled today. Had he not forgiven Adham one too many times, this would never have happened. Hence, the rage, the guilt and the grief of losing his father overcame him like it did at no other time. What an episode 👏

JALAL VS ADHAM
The fight sequences (except for the slow-motion falling from which there's possibly no escaping) were a treat to watch. The scene where Jalal slices Adham's back and the scene where he takes the large vase in his hand to bring it down upon Adham's head were very powerful. Obviously, the throwing down of Adham was terrible - it had far more of an impact than it did in the movie. I never had to cry in the movie - I couldn't stop crying here. I didn't cry even during the mazhar sequence, but I did today! What an episode 👏

I never realized how far a wasted talent Chetan is till I watched him today. The man can act more than just like a drunk skirt-chaser. His menacing bloody looks even as he sees death in the face is a treat to watch. What a culmination. I do wish they'd utilized his real plotting instead of ridiculous tracks like MC-Haider and Khyber!

ATGAH
Atgah's last minute thoughts were pure and soulful - well thought and pragmatic - just like a warrior - doing as much as he can to save his nation/king and people till the very last breath!

Even the Khwaja Shera's scenes made me choke! Rallying the good to fight the bad always has this 'hair-stand-on-end' effect on the audience, doesn't it? What an episode 👏

THE HAREM
Purely from a practical point of view - The biggest distractions in today's episode (which otherwise was a REAL part of history) - an episode that should have only been Emperor Vs arch enemy - a MAN's episode - were the womenfolk. Really, why were they even there watching all that? Like how Salima Begum took Rahim away, the rest of the women should have gone inside. HB should have taken a pregnant Jodha away and that would have helped avoid the unpleasantness that many are feeling with the episode and with her reactions. While my jury on Jodha's reactions are still out in the open, I would like to point out that Jodha's reactions in the episode/promo are not like those of Aishwarya's in the movie. They are more prominent and Indian-Serial kind of dramatized here. The CVs could have done away with this drama in the midst of real raw drama between Adham-Atgah-Jalal-MA! This aftermath of this track will definitely involve Akdha - but today and tomorrow itself is/was not meant to be an Akdha Track. I wish the CVs didn't force it that way and kept it raw and real. This would have avoided the mixed reactions from the crowds.
Other way around, I also wish Jalal hadn't gone to a pregnant Jodha in that state. Much as he needs support, solace whatever - this wasn't a 'Jodha Begum' moment. This was a moment of a man's self-introspection and grieving. He lost his father, he lost his brother, he lost his mother within the span of a few days. I wish he'd just cleaned away the blood, thrown away his blood-stained sword, shut himself away from everyone and waited in solitude - allowing the more 'steeled' of his begums to approach him after a day or so!

JALAL-MA
Nevertheless, the real drama was what happened between Jalal and MA and Rajat and Ashwini. (I could almost witness Rajat bidding his favourite actress, Ashwini Kalsekar a farewell today)

All of MA's talks were a desperate mother's hypocritical versions of what happened (since we cannot overlook the fact that Adham's imperial ambitions were fuelled to a large extant by MA's own ploys and powerful-hungry tactics that lasted right until a week ago) Yet, I don't blame her. She loves Adham more than her life - but, she doesn't want Jalal dead either. Very realistic and believable villain!

MA's entire fear-filled tirade was a twisted form of an emotional blackmail caused by a mother's failing hope 'Adham is an idiot, but he wouldn't have gone too far.. he couldn't have gone too far.. punish him.. but, spare his life too.. you've done so all these days.. you'll do so today too..you're kind-hearted - he's not..so, I trust you my son to mete fair justice, whom I love more than most!'

Jalal's entire ten minute look of silence only read one thing 'I tried... I tried my best... but I couldn't save my father... I couldn't save your son... I probably failed... forgive me for this one deed, Badi Ammijaan! But, if you've lost one so dear to you, so have I and this is life!'

What an episode indeed! 👏

I am still not out of the daze. Today each one of them lived their character.
Chetan - Mindless anger and rage and extreme madness. His attack was of an insane person
Ashwini - For a few moments I forgot that she is the evil MA and was in tears at her words. Her stunned look when she sees Javeda - God! we are going to miss the actress if not the character for sure
Rajat - we have already used so many superlatives for him. May be on repeated viewing and analysing with a magnifying glass, we may find a few slips but the first impression is - AWESOME. His guilt on forgiving AK every time that had lead to so much suffering and ultimate death of the most loyal Atgah Sahib induced Jalal to such a rage that he was angry to the point of being cruel. The total exhaustion, numbness combined with a confused guilt to MA - Rajat was at tops
PS: Why did Jodha run away from Jallu, that too when he needed her support the most?😡😭 And she is supposed to be her so called soul - mate. He had broken her rule book and instruction guide of goodness. How else was he supposed to punish AK? By serving him poisoned icecreams?
Yes, I also agree with lashy, Why did Jalal go to Jodha in his blood-soaked state? Both the action and reaction was weird. If Jodha just says, paapiyon ke khoon ke saath aapke bachon ke kareeb mat aayiye shahenshah, fine, another bhaashan on paap punya permutation and combination in such an emotional draining moment, tho 😡

After Jalal's broken, grief ravaged desperate plea to Allah to spare his Beloved Jodha's Life, today, was the most emotionally touching episode in the history of this show. 👏

Rajat was SUPERLATIVE as the emotionally dead Emperor, and grief filled son. It is s treat to watch him today & whoever has not, must NOT miss this one.

I an still a bit in shock after watching it but I've to say this-

I dont think I've ever hated Jodha. Been livid with her, intensely disliked her but today. Today she lost the substantial respect I had for her.

She left the man she professes to love the most in the world, the man who pulled her back from Death, stole her from Yamraj's arms only to cradle her in his.

She left THIS man & backed away from him in terror, when he needed her the most. When he desired bee loving embrace, when he wanted gentle succour.

No one deserves this.

Least of all this brilliant, wonderful man.

Highlight- This was the episode for me. The heartwrenching scene between MA-Akbar. The best I've seen in ages on telly & if for nothing else, Ekta should be APPLAUDED for her casting. 👏

Ashwini & Rajat? Watch it. And be STUNNED. 👏

P.s. I wish Ekta could use one of her utterly illogical ideas & show more of Ashwini. She was born to be an actress. 👏

P.s. I wish Ekta could use one of her utterly illogical ideas & show more of Ashwini. She was born to be an actress. 👏

I agree with you, this performance by Rajat eclipses that Dargah scene. He was on another level today. What took the episode to stratospheric levels was the in tandem performance of Ashwini. Maybe this serial will be defined by this episode, it was that good.

I would request you not be so harsh on Jodha. The Jalal we saw today was magnificently savage, a roaring lion but it was still a shocking experience to watch for those who loved him. That kind of ruthlessness disturbs the sensitivities of some people.

Give her time. She will get over the shock and support her husband.
