**chapter - 5!**
"ohk so you both can see these pigeons??isn't they cute?" said jalal looking at the 20 pigeons on his garden while jodha nd mirza nodded their head "as i liked them...i want them all in that cage...nd u both will do that vo bhi in umm..1 hour" said jalal making them shock "but jalal" "50 minutes" "bhai" "40 minutes" said jalal this time both were quite "good!! i want them in 40 minutes" said jalal nd left while mirza was glaring jodha ..."maine kya kiya?" asked jodha innocently while mirza rolled his eyes knowing her nautanki...nd started working on his punishment but alas! he failed...capturing pigeons is not at all easy! nd that too racing pigeons is just nearly impossible!! "what a silly punishment it is!" said mirza while jodha was sitting on the bench looking at mirza who was falling every minute "yeah!! it looks really foolish!!! that is why this is given to u" said jodha crossing her legs and sitting comfortable on the chair "just shut up!! itz all bcoz of u...nd come here, i m not your servant" said an angry mirza"awww...gussa" said jodha laughingly while getting up from the bench "inhe naa aise nhi pakadte...watch nd learn" said jodha nd went near the flock of pigeons "come on sweet hearts!! jaldi aa jao!!! i will give u chocolate" said jodha nd opened her arms but nothing happened...the pigeons were still roaming here nd there "yup!! i learnt a lot!!" said mirza while clapping his hands "haan toh kya hua!! may be they don't like to eat chocolates" said jodha to which mirza rolled his eyes while jalal smirked at their plight...who was watching them from the balcony sipping his black coffee "stupid punishments for stupid people" said jalal nd went inside his room.
Mirza nd jodha were running behind the pigeons...but sometime they would flew or run away..which made jodha nd mirza tired "yrr thak gyi!! chal naa chal ke sry bol dete hai" said jodha pantingly "haan or bhai jaise wait ker rhe honge naa to forgive us" said mirza laying down on the grass..."only 8 minutes are left" said jalal entering the garden...listening his big brother's voice..mirza stood up immediately while jodha was just pulling down her skirt "aagya pagloo...ab vaapis he will taunt me for this short dress" muttered jodha "are u trying to tear up your dress?" asked jalal raising his brows while jodha looked at him with irritation "what happen? are u not enjoying your punishment?" asked jalal stepping towards her...while jodha was just cursing him under her breadth "nhi nhi!! i m loving it...they r soo cute" said jodha with a faked smile "u liked them? but let i tell u only 5 minutes are left nd if u failed in this task...i m warning u the next one will be horrible...as this was a childish task for u idiot" said jalal and was about to go when he turned nd looked at jodha "your dress is useless now!! so don't dare to wear these types of dresses" said jalal nd walked away while jodha looked at herself...her first ever costly dress was full of mud nd grasses...totally ruined...but suddenly something strike her mind "oh shit!!! it was all because of this dress!! he was not punishing us...he was just ruining my dress" said jodha in shock "ohh!!! got it...bhai doesn't like u in short dresses nd u wore it..nd this punishment was for this dress" said mirza "pagloo!!! i just hate him tabhi mai sochu what type of punishment is this...nd he wasted my dress...first time i wore something this much costly nd he ruined it" cried jodha "we will later woe for your dress but now only 3 minutes are left..nd we have to finish out of" said mirza to which an irritated jodha nodded nd some idea popped in her mind nd she ran to the kitchen nd came in the other second while mirza was watching her weird behaviour..jodha opened her fist nd showed some cracked corn to mirza while mirza was confused...jodha threw corns at certain distances till the cage...nd in few seconds all the pigeons were inside the cage ..."dekha" said jodha to which mirza clapped his hands "arre waah!!! it was so easy" said mirza to which jodha rolled her eyes!
They both entered the mansion, when hamida saw their condition "what have u done? jaao abhi jaake change kero" said hamida to which both nodded and left to their respective rooms! "finally! idiot u succeeded" said jalal as soon as jodha stepped inside their room! "u done it intentionally naa?" asked jodha in anger as she was really pissed of by his remarks and unwanted comments and moreover because of her dress! "u do have brain idiot!! and if u again dare to wear these tawdry dresses! i promise u that u will regret it for a pretty good time" said jalal and left for his office "what the hell he thinks about himself! kahin kaa prince hai kya" said jodha in irritation "not prince but your husband" said jalal who forgot his watch! "i just hate you" said jodha and stomped her feet on the ground "i know this very well!" said jalal and left the room taking his watch with him, leaving jodha alone cursing him all the while "hey! have u done the physics project!"asked mirza who just entered the room "i just hate your brother! how dare he? u know he.. he.. he is just a pagloo and that's why he ruined my dress" said jodha to which mirza rolled his eyes "jodha...leave it yrr!! dress he toh thi" said mirza trying to cool down her but jodha was not in a mood to listen "i just hate your brother!! meri nayi dress ka kabaada ker diya" cried jodha..."jodha!! chod naa" said mirza "aise kaise chod du!!! jaise tu flirt kerna nhi chod sekta ussi tarah mai ab tere bhai ko nhi chodungi!!! just wait nd watch! i will make his life hell" said jodha to which mirza rolled his eyes knowing her filmy dialogues "what u r thinking then?" asked mirza to which jodha smirked "your brother is soo gone!! just follow me" said jodha nd ran to hamida's room.
"hamida maa!!" said jodha entering hamida's room after taking a bath "arre jodha!! what happen? u wan't something? did u had your lunch?" asked hamida in her motherly concern "maa!! i was thinking to have my lunch with jalal today! u know he is not that bad" said jodha with her extra sugary smile "i know beta! jalal is not bad, he is just a little workaholic" said hamida "so i can go to office naa" asked jodha to which hamida agreed "maa!! can u fulfil one wish of mine?" asked jodha to which hamida nodded "not like this! promise me" said jodha "haan haan i promise u, now tell me what is it?" said hamida "abhi nhi just wait for few hours" said jodha and ran to her room while hamida smiled at her childishness.
"now what u will do? and what promise u asked from mom" asked mirza following jodha "u will get to know that" said jodha tying up the laces of her shoes "but where are u going?" asked mirza settling on the couch "u are also coming and wait! how much money do u have in your card?" asked jodha "umm..nearly 20 thousand"said mirza after calculating her previous expenditures "great! letz go" said jodha"where" asked mirza "your brother's office" said jodha to which mirza looked a little scary "i m not coming" stated mirza to which jodha pulled him up to the car and do her usual emotional drama "mjhe toh kuch nhi hoga na?" asked mirza "no not at all! just help me out! nd i will make sure that your brother will not say anything to u or vaise bhi hum lunch kerne he toh jaa rhe hai" said jodha to which mirza looked somewhat convinced.
jodha nd mirza reached near a big, lavish nd lustrous building!! shinning brightly as the sun rays was striking the glass windows of the 30th floor building nd 10 bodyguards near the entrance "oye yeh kaha aa gye hum?" asked jodha looking from top to bottom "bhai ka office" said mirza to which jodha dropped her mouth to the ground"now i knew the reason that why he joined business at 18...because this office is not less than a palace" said jodha to which mirza shooked his head nd dragged her towards the entrance...the bodyguards lowered their head in respect of mirza as they know he is the brother of their boss!! but they stopped jodha "arre" said jodha in shock "ma'am your identity card" asked one of the bodyguard while jodha looked at mirza "she is with me" said mirza to which they nodded their head nd left space for jodha for going inside while jodha was shocked by the security..
Mirza nd jodha entered the office nd went to the reception "hi niki" said mirza to the receptionist who was in a white shirt nd a baby pink formal skirt around her 20's "hello sir!! how can i help u?" asked nikita kohli, the receptionist. "somebody call the cops please because it's got to be illegal to look soo good" said mirza in his usual flirty avatar "thank you sir!! but sir is busy in one of his meetings" said nikita with a smile on her face "yaahan pei toh sab tere bhai ki tarah akdu hai" whispered jodha "excuse me nikita.. i think itz working hours nd u r not allowed to chat! nd mirza sir...jalal sir is busy..nd no one can meet him now" said lara, who was jalal's personal secretary nd the longest one who stayed till now as jalal never gets impressed by someone that easily "but" said mirza "sry sir!! but he is busy" said lara "arre do u know who i m " said jodha who was now irritated by her attitude...lara looked at jodha from top to bottom, jodha was wearing a loose sleeveless top with torn-up jeans in the bottom with her hairs open in a messy form "tara!! i think outsiders are not allowed in office" said lara "yes ma'am" said tara who was more like a disciple of lara "excuse me!! u bull shit!! do u know whom u r talking to?" said jodha which angered lara"who the hell are u?" said an angry lara..meanwhile jalal was coming out of the conference room when he heard some noises...he went to the reception nd was shocked to see jodha nd lara fighting "LARA" said jalal in a loud voice filled with anger and kind of shocked too! "jalal sir! thank god, u came! see this girl!" said lara and looked at jodha with arrogance "lara! u r my employee not she and i think i don't give you salary for creating scenes in my office! All of you back to work NOW" shouted jalal to which lara glared jodha "see her attitude! rassi jal gyi per bal nhi gya" retorted jodha, before jalal could handle jodha, lara interfered in between"whose rassi?" "whose bal?" asked tara and lara one after the other "kaise log paal rakhe hai tumne!! mirza just tell her the meaning " said jodha as she too was unaware of itz english translation "it means rope burnt but bal nhi gya" said mirza arranging the words he knows meanwhile jalal was not only angry but irritated too and moreover was embarrassed that his own brother doesn't knew proper English. " The twirl remains even after the rope burns" said nikita from behind raising her pen upwards like she was a student who knows the correct answer "kya?" asked jodha "the proverb u said few seconds ago! it means something like that only in english" said nikita with a scared voice as she saw jalal glaring at her "sachi?" asked mirza romantically leaning over the desk of nikita "dekha apne bhai ka haal" said jodha but soon zipped her mouth when she looked at jalal's furious eyes "lara and tara!! BACK TO WORK NOW!! ND JODHA come in my cabin " said jalal gritting his teeth in anger which was clearly visible in his eyes! he was about to leave the place but was stopped by jodha's voice "cabin kahan hai?" asked jodha in a low voice "FOLLOW ME" shouted jalal which made jodha to jump on her feet in fear.
Jalal reached his cabin while jodha was a little scared in entering "kuch nhi hoga!! khaa thodi jaayega! bass jaake sorry bol dungi" said jodha but another second changed her mind "mai yahaan sorry bolne thodi aayi thi!! i came here to irritate him naa!! vahin kerungi mai " decided jodha mentally and entered the cabin. As soon as she entered the cabin a 'thud' voice came. Jodha shivered with the voice and looked at jalal and she was so correct, jalal banged his hand on the table in anger "sorry" muttered jodha as soon as she saw his anger filled eyes "because of you! first time in my office, this cheap thing happened" said jalal coming towards jodha "acha hai naa!! u should try new things" said jodha in fear "what u want?" asked jalal controlling his anger "khana" said jodha again in the same voice as before "What?" asked jalal in a shocked state. this word by jodha made jalal to forgot all his anger as her weirdness always do! jalal always get scandalized by jodha's unique behaviour as his life is very formal, so this type of behaviour always make him to forget his anger. but his irritation increases rapidly. "haan i came here to have lunch with my HUSBAND" said jodha exerting pressure on the word 'husband', "are u mad or what? go to mansion now nd have your extra calorie lunch" said jalal sitting on his chair and started working on a random project "itz so strange naa!! calorie is consumed by me but it affects you" said jodha but soon shut her mouth up as jalal glared her with a dangerous look "joking yrr" said jodha with a nervous laugh "i think you should leave now" said jalal to get rid of her "arre aise kaise! i m damn hungry!!" said jodha doing her drama "Ohk!!! but just sit there! dare to disturb me! and tell me what u want?" said jalal signalling her to sit on the couch. jodha sat there with a mysterious smile as her plan of irritating jalal has started. Jalal dialled a number and asked his staff member to come to his cabin , soon the staff member came to take order. Jalal asked jodha to order her lunch! but jodha was not in a mood to do it "what u want" at last jalal asked her in irritation "i want a pizza" exclaimed jodha to which jalal nodded "a small size pizza" said jalal to the person standing near the door "which type of pizza sir" asked the staff member to which jalal looked at jodha for answer but she ignored him so as to irritate him "uhh!! bring anyone" said jalal in irritation to the worker "arre aise kaise!! pizza should be of my taste" said jodha scrunching her nose "so why are u not telling him! he is just standing infront of u" said jalal in irritation "mai nhi bolungi!!! " said jodha "we don't want anything! u may leave now" said jalal in anger to which the staff nodded in fear "arre bhaiya rukko!! order toh lelo! acha bring me a large margehrita pizza with extra cheese but no capsicums! actually i don't like them naa! and yes!! a choco lava cake with it! and a cold drink too" said jodha breathlessly as she was scared that her plan of irritating jalal can snatch her favourite pizza "anything else madam?" asked the staff member "aisa kero desert ke liye black forest and strawberry sundae liyana" said jodha to which the person nodded "anything else ma'am" asked the worker again as it was his duty "no!! itna thodi khaati hu!! i m on a diet naa" said jodha to which jalal was again antagonize by her weird behaviour "anything for you sir?" asked the man standing there for the past 15 minutes "yea! a French bean salad with tarragon and green peppercorn" ordered jalal to which the person nodded and left the cabin "why you eat these tasteless things!! add taste in your food and bring colours in your life" said jodha to which jalal shooked his head as he knows her dramatic nature and started working in his mac book! jodha frowned as jalal was not at all affected by her presence and one more reason was there which was that she was getting bored and moreover to it! she hate silence! she stood up from the couch and sat on the chair just opposite to jalal "J..A..L...A...L" said jodha in a musical way "what?" asked jalal "J..A..L...A...L" said jodha again which irritated jalal "whaat??" asked jalal again but this time looking at her (irritatingly) " i m getting bored" said jodha to which jalal rolled his eyes "wow!! just leave then" said jalal angrily and again resumed his work "acha!! let i test your knowledge" said jodha to which jalal ignored her " i knew it! u are not capable of answering my question" mocked jodha playfully to which jalal shut off the mac book and kept it aside!!! it was not because his work was done or anything else ! he did it because the statement of jodha hit his ego and this feeling was like a slap on his face! "ask" said jalal to which jodha gulped in fear as the voice was not his casual tone! it was containing something else, something deep! which was new for jodha "arre nothing jalal!! it was only a joke" said jodha "joke is knowledge for you?" asked jalal in a hell threatening voice "i was just getting bored" muttered jodha to which jalal clenched his teeth and again started working in his laptop "ohk!! i m sorry" said jodha not knowing what wrong she said but yes! she was confirmed that jalal marked it as his insult "do you know! what the hell is your problem! itz your irritating attitude! u don't have self respect but i have! so don't dare to challenge me as my ego is much more than my self respect!" said jalal gritting his teeth. Jodha looked at him in utter shocked state as it was not some huge topic that he would go this angry or say whatever he wants, it was just a joke but moreover jodha saw a fire in his eyes which was again a new thing for her! "jalal it was just a joke!! why are u getting so hyper?" asked jodha "because it was not funny! it was just that you don't know whom you are talking to! and you!! better not talk about capability! because you don't know what i m capable of!" said jalal to which jodha closed her eyes in annoyance as her so called husband is just too egoistic "ohk! i m sorry! it was my mistake" said jodha to which jalal smirked "good! you are not so dumb" said jalal and resumed his work while jodha was looking at him with wide eyes "ek sorry mei tna khush ho gya" thought jodha to herself. "acha ab mera joke" said jodha to which jalal rolled his eyes "a girl asked a salesman 'what is the price of galaxy grand' shopkeeper said 20,000, the girl said "haaaww" ,,,now! answer me what would shopkeeper will say when the girl will ask him for the price of S4?" said jodha to which jalal raised his brows "budhu! the salesman said 'haaaw + haaaw" said jodha laughingly making jalal irritated by her PJ's. but jalal and jodha soon got engrossed in their sort of thoughts! one was confused about the new side while the other was fain as again his ego won over others!
Whatever it be! jalal's ego was hurt, it is true that it was not a huge or major thing, it was just a joke! JUST A MERE JOKE! but as it is said :
"Ego has a voracious appetite, the more you feed it, the hungrier it gets."
And it is kind of true in jalal's case as he reached a level at a very young age! Building own reputation and name by his own capabilities without asking help is difficult and at every stage his ego grew and today! he can't even here a word against him! but this fact is also true that "our ego is the only reason for losing our loved ones".
On the other side , jodha was confused by this behaviour of his as for her she hadn't done anything that can make him so angry! and it is true too! she hadn't insulted him in any kind but it was jalal who took it as his defame! but at lost it got all well as jodha said sorry to him which grew his ego more and also setted somewhere in his mind that jodha can't do anything by herself and she is nothing before jalal! this line got settled in some place in his brain which increased his self-conceit which can be harmful for the two souls in future and can change their whole life! Their chain of thoughts broke by the knock on the door "come in" said jalal in his egoistic tone and there was their food! the man placed the food on the table and left! "arre waah!! the service is too good here" remarked jodha to which jalal smirked "u becomes so happy on small things" said jodha to which jalal glared her and started eating his salad while jodha took all the pizza slices on her plate not wanting it too share and wolfed down her food like a small child who wants to finish the meal quickly to run off to do something else! "eat slowly! don't you have table manners?" said jalal as he was not liking the noise she was making while eating her junk food "no as you were not there to teach me naa" said jodha munching her pizza "whatever! now you can leave as u had your dehydrated food" said jalal to which jodha rolled her eyes "aise kaise pati dev!" said jodha sipping her coke "what u want then?" asked jalal irritatedly as he was getting exasperate by her meaningless talks "acha tell me what will you give me if i climb the great mount Everest"asked jodha so as to irk him "a lovely push" said jalal in a sarcasm filled tone to which jodha pouted "oh yes!! i forgot to tell you that mumma called me to tell you that she wants us to come to Delhi so as to meet her" said jodha to which jalal shifted his eyes from his laptop screen and looked at her "and why it is so?" asked jalal as he sensed something fishy in her statement "shayad meri shaadi ka khyaal dil mein aaya hai, isi liye mummy ne meri tumhe chai pei bulaaya hai" sang jodha irritating jalal to hell but it confirmed one thing that she was not serious about the visit to Delhi "why can't you just leave" asked jalal "why you want me to leave, wait!! is your girlfriend is coming?"asked jodha in excitement "what? girlfriend?" asked jalal still in shock "ohh!! don't make me fool! i know that ruqaiya is your girlfriend " said jodha in confidence "are you gone mad?" asked jalal to which jodha pointed her finger towards him "i have proof too!! and i will show it to hamida maa! and then i will file a divorce against you" said jodha to which jalal smirked "proof?? let me guess! are you talking about those pictures whom you and mirza clicked in that cafe" asked jalal making jodha's eyes wide in shock "how you came to know about it?" asked jodha as this revelation came as a shock for her"come on stupid! i m Jalaluddin Muhammad and nothing is impossible for me" said jalal in attitude "haan haan thiik hai!! vaise in your office too, girls wear short clothes or i should say extra short then why you don't allow me????" asked jodha as soon as it entered her brain "don't pressurize your pea sized brain in all these useless talks" said jalal to which jodha pouted "i got it! because you see all these girls wearing mini skirts and extra short dresses here and u gets bored seeing them again and again and coz of this u want someone who wear descent clothes! haina?" asked jodha "just shut up! and u say these torn up jeans descent?" asked jalal to which jodha laughed nervously "now leave!! itz already 7pm" said jalal to which jodha looked at the clock and got panicked as she have to complete her another plan too. "ohk then bye pagloo" said jodha but soon bit her tongue as realised dawned her that she called him pagloo in front of him "you!!" said jalal pointing his finger towards her but jalal cutted his sentence in middle only as she don't wants to get more late "haan haan sorry" said jodha and ran outside the cabin banging the door hard "crazy idiot" muttered jalal and resumed his work.
Jodha reached the reception and found mirza doing his usual job that is 'flirting with girls'"you may fall from the sky, you may fall from a tree, but the best way to fall...is in love with me" said mirza to the client's daughter "you are really funny"said the girl to which mirza lifted his collar "u know when a penguin finds it mate, they stay together for the rest of their lives, Will you be my penguin?" asked mirza not realising that jodha was just behind him "you are too sweet you know that"said the girl to which mirza smiled widely "btw, you know people consider me as god" said mirza trying to impress the girl "how do you know that?" asked the girl curiously "because whenever he goes to any place, people say 'hey bhagwan vaapis aa gya" said jodha n anger and started walking towards the exit "arre ruk yrr mai aata hu" said mirza and ran behind her while the girl was just looking at them "tu pagal hai!! you know naa! humko kahin or bhi jaana hai" said jodha settling in the car "per kahan?" asked mirza "bass tu chal" said jodha and the car stopped after a half n hour drive, just opposite to a pet shop "why we are here?" asked mirza "we are going to get a cat" said jodha making mirza rooted at the place he was standing in shock "are you gone mad! u know naa bhai hate pets" said mirza to which jodha smirked "and that's the only reason" said jodha and pulled mirza with her to the pet shop "bhai will kill us" said mirza to which jodha again started her melo drama and promising him that his name will not come in this "i promise i will not tell jalal that u gave me money" said jodha to which mirza agreed "chal firr thiik hai" said mirza unwillingly.
jodha and mirza started searching the perfect cat for their house and at last they found it. a cute white coloured furry kitten!
"kitna cute hai!!" said jodha with an awe look! "haan haan!! bhai iski saari cuteness nikaal denge" remarked mirza as his debit card was empty now! "chal ghar" said jodha picking up the cat from the basket and passing the empty basket to mirza "yrr mere paise" said mirza "yrr paise ke piche mat bhaag!! aaj hai kal nhi hai" said jodha and sat in the car with cotton on her lap "per mere pass toh kal bhi nhi the or naahi aaj hai" said mirza to which jodha rolled her eyes "aaye mera cotton ball!! you like mumma naa?" asked jodha raising cotton up and playing her like it would be a small child "arre waah bina mehnat, bacha" commented mirza to which jodha glared him"chaachu pagal ho gye" said jodha tickling cotton but mirza pouted by the new title given to him "chachu that too of a kitten" said mirza in disbelief.
Soon they reached mansion, hamida was sitting on the dining table as it was 9 pm waiting for mirza and jodha "thank god! u both came" said hamida but the other second her eyes fell on cotton "haaye allah! jodha , kya hai yeh?" asked hamida in shock "hamida maa! such a cute kitten! isn't it" asked jodha to which hamida looked at mirza for explanation but mirza raised his hands up like saying 'he don't know anything about this' "yes beta! but you know naa! that jalal don't like cats or dogs! so he will be angry on u" said hamida with a nervous smile "maaa!!! aapna jalal ko chodo and u have promised me naa that u will fulfil one wish of mine" asked jodha hopefully "beta this was your wish" asked hamida hesitantly to which jodha nodded with great enthusiasm "ohk then" said hamida but was scared about jalal's reaction"THAAANK YOUU THAAANNNK YOU MAAA" said jodha with great happiness and hugged hamida tightly and ran upstairs with mirza and cotton.

Jalal came back to his room after getting fresh but he got his life's biggest shock "JODHA" screamed jalal in anger "haaan kya hua??" asked jodha who came running after listening her husband's scream "i will kill this cotton now" said jalal to which jodha stopped him holding his arm "hua kya" asked jodha to which jalal signalled her to see at cotton who was busy scratching jalal's favourite shirt and moreover was sitting over his macbook "aawww!!! my baby is looking soo cute naa" said jodha picking up cotton and kept him on pillow sry jalal's pillow! "what the hell are u doing?" asked jalal to which jodha said sorry and put cotton on the mat "mark! clean this room now and change the bedsheets" screamed jalal to his trust able servant and his room was like before in just 30 minutes "good mark" said jalal to which he thanked jalal and left the place " i m going to sleep" said jalal and slept on his side of bed "why the hell he told me then?" said jodha and too slept turning off the light! at midnight jalal turned in his sleep but something was tickling his nose! he opened his eyes in irritation and was again shocked for the 100th time on the same day as cotton was waging his tail on jalal's face"JODHA" screamed jalal at top of his eyes making jodha to fall from the bed "what happen?" asked jodha rubbing her back "what is the cat doing in our bed?" asked jalal in anger and irritation (did anyone noticed he mentioned 'our' instead of 'mine')"ja..lal u again forgot naa! he is our child so we should behave like parents naa! then why are u not understanding that babies sleep between his mom and dad" said jodha yawningly and climbed on the bed and slept on her stomach with one hand on jalal's eyes like indicating him to 'close his eyes and sleep' while cotton to slept forming in a ball
