Very well said Lashy. This is the scenario that I am weary of too. I don't mind if Jalal is not teda. I don't mind if he has fallen for the papaya (except that his tastes have gone poor😆), I only mind if the outcome of the track turns out like ben and sujamal tracks where though the mistakes are distributed he turns out to be the established sinner.Whatever he yelled in anger was TRUE. He has been nazar-andaazing all her mistakes, He has made changes for her happiness, but she is very very ziddi. He has bent more than any man, let alone an emperor would do. Even menawati says that. no Rajvanshi husband would come running behind his wife. But she has been very stubborn in her stands always. Never bent for his sake. This time she did use the poewer he gave to his begum against him that too publicly. She stands up for Khaiber as she thinks he saved her and obeys her. But Khaibar was not just the person who saved jodha but also the one who kidnapped her. Had he not carried her away the situation to save wouldn't have arisen. Khaibar also tried to kill jalal. How is Jalal supposed to look at him. Just because jodha calls him good or Khaiber is lattoo over his queen jalal CANNOT forgive him. Jodha also went against Todarmal and supported Shehnaaz na. Her judgement is not always right na? What if Khaibar really kidnaps jo away once again? Jalal will think of such a possibility too.
And for an emperor with n number of wives where is the question of infidelity? He did romance with jodha when Ruqaiya was pregnant. ( fake though he didn't know at that time). Was that okay if his romancing with atifa when jodha is pregnant is wrong? The point is he is not forcing Atifa. I don't say that it is savoury, but given the standards of those times, I don't see him very wrong either. (Except that I don't see anything worthwhile in that papaya to oggle at publicly)
