I read all the threads here - felt dejected at first and THEN, tried watching the episode with an open mind - and this is what I deduced!😊

I realized that the general wave of anger is with the fact that Jalal is misbehaving with Jodha - especially overlooking the fact that she is pregnant. ANYONE would feel enraged - especially had they not seen the episodes till a week ago. Since we have seen the episodes till a week ago - since we know how far Jodha is the apple of Jalal's eye and how much he yearned for these babies, his behaviour baffles me!😲

Nevertheless a few things I noticed today - again trying to keep the hopes up!

Has anyone realized that Jalal is possibly not being himself with ANY of the good people in Agra? NONE of them!

He is not himself with Atgah - he hasn't been listening to the advice that Atgah has been giving him (both onscreen about Atifa and offscreen about Khyber/Ramadan) as Atgah mentioned

He is not giving Tansen the respect that he used to - this Tansen had actually insulted Jalal in court, yet Jalal recognized his talent and put up with him. Now he's not even giving him or his music a second look/hearing and Tansen has noticed that all too well!

He is not giving Jodha the care/love/freedom that he used to - nothing at all! He is not showing concern/care ever since Atifa came.

He is not seeking Ammijaan/Salima Begum. No scenes of him with Rahim!

He is losing his temper with everyone. He has lost his judicious nature/kindness. He has become quite irked and lost his humility - compare his announcement in the DEK a week ago when he actually bowed to his Begums to express his heartfelt gratitude for their help in the war! What a different person this guy is!

He is going against the rules of Islam - which he has never done before except to spread goodness and cheer (like merging of the two religions)

He is meting a cruel punishment (which according to the serial) hasn't been meted in years - which is another pointer that he is losing his kindness and returning to his cruel streak!

Even when he got angry with Jodha before Atifa came - he realized that very evening that he wanted to go back to her and apologize. In fact, he was on his way to do that and ever since that Hamam incident, his behaviour took a change for the worse! He fails to see the pain in Jodha's eyes that he always did. He doesn't think about her in her absence which he has never done in the past 8 months! The smirks and the smiles and the hunar-praise he has been giving Atifa is what he used to do to Jodha till 3 episodes ago (Remember, he even called Jodha's twin-conception as her hunar which I thought was OTT!)

The only person he is calm around is Atifa (like how Khyber calms down around Jodha)

Does that say something? 🤔

Besides, two people he is CLOSEST to have noticed and discussed this today -

Jodha said 'You look like a different person today' and who better to observe this than her

Atgah said 'Shehenshah has changed and the only way one person changes so much is when they're under the spell of something or someone!'

The Khyber issue - neither are wrong!

I don't find anything wrong in what Jodha did - she is not requesting for Khyber to be freed... she is only asking for him not to be punished - she is using the excuse of Ramadan to request for it. She didn't intend to insult Jalal in public - she was desperate to have him saved there!

I don't find anything wrong in what Jalal is doing - he is punishing a monster-like assassin who he'd already pardoned once on the request of Jodha. No King in any country or region would have pardoned an assassin who kidnapped his wife and again broke rules to re-enter his harem and sit on her bed again! These days it's humiliating even if a Boss of a company has to go back on his word - here, the king had to publicly take back his punishment and unwillingly - so, I can understand the anger.

The only thing I see wrong is the anger/irritation with which Jalal is carrying everything out. This is not coming out as assertiveness, but as a domineering egoistic behaviour - which we haven't seen lately. For him to change so drastically, gives me all the more reason to believe something is wrong.

Lately, not only are his preferences changing - his nature is changing too!

If this was all a Teda chaal, I doubt there would be reason for him to change his inherent nature so drastically and that too to everyone and in every issue! The reason he is behaving this way with Jodha could be due to the fact that he doesn't even realize what he's doing.

Everything adds up to my hunch that he must be under a spell now.. and my hopeful heart wants him to realize that he's been cast a spell on, come out of it, investigate the root of the issue and set things right!

Btw, what is this strange spell the CVs are casting upon us that I've actually made a thread in JA after five months?🤔😆

so I guess there's no point of any further speculation... sorry for trying to keep everyone's hopes up!

JA had the highest TRPs 11,000+ when Jalal cried in the Mazhar after Jodha's poison intake, they are just planning to replicate that after this track..

I also read that they are planning for a leap from Oct.. so looks like this is the final nail in the coffin for Jalal before the leap...
