because in those days the norm was all husband have many wives
and is it rule that king cannot marry when wife is pregnant
akbar married many princess the year salim was born or aram banu was born historically
and i know bharamal, bhagwan das, man singh, rao maldeo etc all had many wives from 20 to 60 and coucubbines too
so why show only akbar as lustlful and others as mmaryada purushothams
akbar married many for love and even more for political gain
but all are forgetting that bharamal married his daughter against her wishes for political gains and safety only. why blame husband when father is only bargaining daughter
Is it not a father and brother duty to take care of sister/daughter and protect her? Or are they to be bargained like cattle protect my kingdom give my captured sons back and take my daughter in return.
Is Akbar to be 100% blamed? Akbar like all other kings marrying many girls and love many girls. So why all saying he is lusting? Indeed it is Akbar greatness that he gave respect to Jodha and gave her religious freedom. Ruqaiah, Salima and Jodha are safe and protected. Its other harem women(read wives/cocubines of akbar) who are marginalized and have no one and left to fend for themselves.
Ruqaiah had akbar and salim and khurram to protect and look for her needs, salima had akbar and rahim and salim too, jodha had akbar, salim, rahim, man singh, bhagwan das so many to protect her in agra fort and she never lonely. What about other wives of akbar who there to remove their lonliness and take care of them in old age, illness etc no one? Who care if they died? No one again. So i am pity all other wives of akbar not these three for sure. They are lucky.

First father's must be questioned for not caring for daughter feeling and marrying them like barter system then speak of husbands
atleast husbands like akbar, sher shah suri, mahmood shah, haji khan treated those daughters respectfully gave them freedom to follow their customs and took care of them and protected them and did not barter them like their fathers for gains
So shouting/slapping/blaming akbar is wrong. He did what all other kings did used marriage to promote loyalty among other subordinate kings. Atleast Abkabr loved his sisters/daughters/grand daughters so much that ne never barter them for political gain. I respect him as a brother/father/grand father and son immensely. As a husband yes he married many to expand kingdom but atleast he took care of all wives and protected them and did not abondon them.
