It is indeed unfortunate for Akbar that Ekta decided to produce this serial on him. There was so much potential for showing him as AKbar The Great - and they've reduced him to Yuckbar instead!
There is a reason why only three Emperors in all of India have ever been tagged the Great status! Maybe her creatives ought to dig out why first!
In another historical serial, there is depiction of a brave warrior just like Jalal - who also had 11 wives - maybe some simultaneously becoming pregnant too - he had a favourite Rani too - only difference, there he is being hailed as Great not being made a mockery. His weaknesses are being portrayed, no doubt - but, things are not so bad that people have to come up with names to ridicule him!
TV as a medium is so powerful it can make us empathize with grey shaded characters like Karna of Mahabharat, villains like Ravan of Ramayan and even bad-ass mobsters like SRK of Don!
Similarly, TV can be as bad to bring down a noble personality to dust too!
