I have no time just now for detailed comments, but I have actually watched the episode last night, and I am greatly amused by all this talk of forum-wide lamentations over Jalal becoming a Casanova all over again.

I never thought to see so many (present company excluded, obviously) afflicted with the Pavlovian reflex ! The CVs lead them by the nose, and they trot along happily, or rather not happily, crying buckets like Jalal even a few days back.😡

To my mind, Jalal is no more infatuated with that Atifa, who looks like an overripe Preity Zinta😉, than I am. It is something quite different, and as Raksha puts it, he is intrigued by the fact that he cannot get her out of his mind, and she seeps, subconsciously, even into his painting.

Incidentally, Jalal was using a lot of blue, but there was no blue at all in that daub of a painting.

It is a teaser that haunts him. It might well be that she is someone he knows from long back but cannot quite recognise now. Or it might be some other bizarre idea of the CVs. But he is not besotted with her nor is he going to have a fling with her, at least that is my take as of now. He does not look the least bit guilty when Jodha spotted the picture.

In fact, he looked inscrutable, and thus interesting, which has been a rarity of late.

The best shot of Jodha was the funny little headshake cum pout she gives after surveying the painting.

As for the precap, it might well be a daydream of Ruqaiya's. The CVs have done this sort of thing often enough!

This said, I do not know how shocked people here would be if Jalal went to one of his other begums for a ratrivyateet one of these days. Jodha does not have a monopoly over him, and the other begums too have a right to be with him, you know! Plus, I do not see an emperor becoming an ek patni vrat for so long.

I do not care what kind of tricks the CVs play on the IF folk, but I was pleased that Jalal last night looked more like the old rakish Jalal of the early episodes: the feature.😉s were sharp and clear cut and he looked as handsome as during the Amer escapade. And he did not go thru the nose scrunching bit that gets my goat!

I know you youngsters must all be in transports over his hamam body show, but I, being used to a son obsessed with his 6 pack abs, felt that he looked quite decent, if not like the best in the business, like Aamir in Ghajini. If they had not been sure of that, they would never have risked it! Earlier, they used to show only his head and shoulders, which was, at that point of time, a favour done to the viewers.

So, all in all, I am quite happy, and if Jodha is diddled and thrown off balance by this Preity Zinta lite, why that is good too. Why should Jalal be always making a doormat of himself? Let her feel a bit insecure and run after him for a while. As for the idea of Jalal being jealous of Khaibar, it is too ludicrous for words!

Yesterday's episode was both good and bad. Let me elaborate,

The good -

1. Jodha showed her human side, you could see her getting sad about getting shouted at, and she really didn't like that Jalaal had drawn someone else's portrait and not hers. She just didn't like it. And yes, I liked that they patched-up immediately unlike before.

2. Jalaal on the whole was intrigued by the new girl. Who was she? What was she doing in hammam? (Obviously outsiders weren't allowed inside, so, if she was there, she would have been in harem and he would have seen her before, and he hadn't.) And for now he doesn't know anything about her, not her name, not even that she's married. Maybe whence he knows, it could get interesting... I might get stoned for this, but, I loved Jalaal in DEK scene (the way he was staring into her eyes, even though she was inside a dupatta.) 😆

3. Jallu's imagination.

The bad -

1. Ruqaiyya's sheer cattiness, when she told Jalaal about Jodha fasting. First of all, how did she come to know, and, exactly what pleasure does she get out of people getting scolded at. Ruqs you have a maturity level of a 5 year old.

2. Agra's security continues to be porous as a sieve even after a Khyber attack. How does a random woman get into a bath-tub?

3. Jallu why would you refuse a security check on those people? Doesn't Kabul ring a bell? Urgh!

And these people are commoners, and are supposed to live in houses not palaces, I'll scream if I see that hussy play hide-n-seek with palace curtains.😡

4. The new girl, I don't know if it's my own bias, or if the girl is a bad actress. I felt her character was vague, was she happy that Shahenshah was noticing her, but still playing it down because she was married, or was she trying to get his attention. Jab kapde me matti ho jati hai, to aap kapde ko dhote hain, not act like a lizard in "Reptiles of South America"-ish documentary on Nat Geo inside shaahi hummam khaana.😡 Now, an accurate opinion of her would be no doubt given by Shyamala Aunty. (I still laugh whenever I see Shehnaaz, because I remember Aunty's description of her every time.) CVs bata diya karo, ke naye logon ke le rahe ho, thode talented log audition de denge.

Now everybody hates Jalaal after watching the episode, and I am having a kick out of it. I am going to hell.😆

All serials where men have gone with the other woman has only been AFTER a long period of major misunderstanding between hubby and wife. Here Akdha are as in love as can be - so makes no sense!

Also, Jodha's necklace tootnaa happened last time when Jalal was hurt - that diyaas going off happened during Ben, right. The fact that her maala tootna happened this time again shows Jalal's life maybe in danger again??? 😕 Well, his mental health and reputation definitely is 😆
