I had watched an oldd movie with my family. Its about Jehangir and the justice system of those times
A girl is called to give witness in murder case of her family
All those not involved to walk out of DEK or was it DEA when girl comes
That include ministers, other witnesses involved in case(Basically all men)
Jehangir is only man that remains in DEA along with his wives in top floor(that also behind pardah)
And that lady brought inside and she is in ghunghat and Jehangir says i am like your father, no other man is here you can open your ghunghat and tell full story to me without fear
If the culture was so strict that all men have to walk out if a girl has to come and give witness or tell her story how come Jodha going to jail without ghunghat and hamida and ruqaiah also walking inside like its some garden without pardah. I understand they are royals and cannot be shown in pardah always but atleast few customs of that time should be shown no. Jodha is in exposing choli many times and male soldiers guarding nearby.
If just seeing a girl face is such taboo that ministers and all witness walk out of DEK in those times how come minister wife ghunghat flying in front of so many men in DEK. Will her husband not be angered? I heard in those time if wife allow to show her face to non related male husband could divorce or sometimes even kill and no judge would oppose. These laws are there in some parts of africa/asia also still in 21st century
Its a 16th century show atleast some customs must be followed if not everything. If women are being shown modern like 21st century how come Akbar should not look at a beautiful lady who exposed her face in court. How come that becomes so big issue for Jodha?
