but if someone is large hearted, they are always large hearted aren't they? Jo was in a difficult situation because Ruk came. Ruk also was uneasy, but for the sake of Jalal (or the sultanate) she came. I suppose Jo could have sat alone with Jalal and endured Ruk's displeasure for a short while - all for the sake of celebrating the advent of future heirs to the throne, and not to revel in some personal one up-manship . Dear oh dear it must have been quite a tangle for these people to live with these dilemmas.
padbear, jodha has not met ruqaiyya today or yesterday..she has lived with her for the past one year...and if she was sensible enough to understand why she did that FP ...then it is not hard to understand that ruqaiya is not about sympathy...you leave her personal space and stop inviting her into your personal space...she does not respond kindly to it ...being large hearted does not deem a person foolish...jodha has been brought up in a royal setting and must have seen polygamy...
the scene should have been simply...ruqaiyya coming to wish her and she telling the dialogues that even you are about to be ammijaan etc...and then let her go and join the other ladies...this way the kind words would have been send out along with not going over board
you think ruqaiyya ka displeasure would be any less because jodha made her to sit next to them???she would be miffed, raged the same ...because nothing jodha does or will do will go down well with her and she strongly dislikes jodha...that is a written for her ...if jodha is respectful enough not to enter her domain ,she needs to be firm enough to not let ruwaiyya enter her domain as well...
right now she is a woman who has lost everything and she is not about to be happy invited to share something that she presumes should have been hers...the man ,the child and the position ...
