Friends, first of all a big "sorry" for not replying your posts on my thread yesterday. I had a full day power cut and could not manage replies with my mobile though I read all your posts!

Coming to the episode of last evening, it also was an episode full of quick happenings. Things escalated so fast that it left not only Jodha and Jalal in a tizzy, but also the viewers at the edge of their seats. We all knew from the precap of the previous episode that Shehnaaz was going to be unmasked, but we didn't know how. So we were waiting to see exactly how Jodha would get to know that Shehnaaz was not the silly childish person she knew. We thought of all kinds of complicated possibilities, but in the end it was really simple.

Jodha was walking past Shehnaaz's room when she heard Shehnaaz refuse some food from the bandhi, and then after the bandhi left Shehnaaz was heard telling herself in perfectly adult tones, "These bewakoofs don't understand if told once, how many times do I have to put on this childish voice and continue this tedious disguise?" Jodha was hearing from just outside her window, and the whole mystery of Shehnaaz started unravelling then in under ten minutes.

Jodha then walked into the room with all the disgust at her command, and slapped Shehnaaz twice - once for her own self, and once for Jalal, I am sure. Shehnaaz bore it all with more childishness "What are you doing Jodha?" she cried like a small child. But as Jodha was poised to strike the third time, Shehnaaz suddenly became all adult, fended off Jodha's hand and showed her true colours!

Now came the real Shehnaaz into action. She tied Jodha's hands behind her with a dupatta, then proceeded to tie Jodha's mouth and feet as well, and then subjected Jodha to her full life history. "I am Nigar, the daughter of Humayun and Chand Begum. I am the elder sister of Jalal and the real haqdaar of this whole Sultanate. Jalal has imprisoned my mother and converted her into a mad woman. I have seen my mother for myself, she is in shambles due to mental torture. Jalal has also hidden the naksha to my mother's place of incarceration, but he doesn't know I've already been there once. And he'd better now hand me back my inheritance." Shehnaaz held a sharp knife to Jodha's throat and somehow had found the farman from Humayun which she held in her other hand!

Jodha was stunned. But in the meanwhile Rahim had run up to Jalal with his two dolls, with their heads screwed off, to complain about Shehnaaz. "Look what she's done!" said Rahim. Jalal was initially nonplussed, but within a moment the "murderous intention of Shehnaaz to the Jalal doll and the Jodha doll" hit Jalal like a ton of bricks. He ran to Shehnaaz's room to accost her, but lo and behold ... his own Jodha was tied and gagged was writhing under the grip of a bullying Shehnaaz with the knife held at her throat. "Stay away if you want her alive," said Shehnaaz to Jalal. Just then the dupatta tying Jodha's mouth fell loose slightly whereupon Jodha told Jalal the whole picture.

"This girl is my sister? Oh my God", said Jalal, "but I know nothing of her mother's whereabouts. In fact I am searching for her mother myself!" But Shehnaaz would have none of it. She kept on hurling accusations at Jalal that he was a "mother-snatcher, a takht snatcher and an audha snatcher". "I want my audha and inheritance back. I know you want to now finish me off as I am the only contender for your takht!" she said, still holding Jodha captive. But then on a sudden change of plan, she gave Jodha a push towards Jalal and ran out of the room knife in hand eager for escape for she must have remembered that Mahchuchak's army was waiting for her outside the city limits.

Jalal was so thrown by Jodha being thrown at him that he screamed blue murder as he untied Jodha with haste. But Jodha cautioned him "Run after her, but do not kill her, she is your sister!" she said. Jalal ran behind the berserk Shehnaaz, calling all his sipahis also into the chase.

Unfortunately poor Rahim was sitting in the Angoori Bagh and Shehnaaz saw her chance. She grabbed Rahim at knife point and the last thing we know in the precap is that Shehnaaz had ridden off on a horse holding the hapless Rahim in her clasp and was flying away at speed from the palace on thesteed!

So much for the high action in the second half of the episode. But here's what happened earlier when there was no hint of trouble in the earlier part of the day ...

Jodha woke up uneasy for she had slept the night very ill thinking of Jalal being so distressed by the death sentence he had given Todarmal. She then instinctively went to Kanha to try again to light His eternal diya, but even though the storm outside had stopped the diya wouldn't catch the flame. Jodha's feelings started sinking as she said to Kanha "The storm's gone but your diya will still not light up. Something horrible is to happen for sure. Kanha please show me the way!"

Later as Jodha made her way to the tulsi plant to do her outdoor puja, she saw a ferocious looking Jalal doing his swordfight practice with an unusual vehemence. Jalal was venting, it was clear. His heart was heavy and his body was trying to shed its nervous tension through some very vigorous and unbridled sword practice. When Jodha offered him the prasad and aarti he came and took it ... but returned to his sword practice without a word to Jodha - which added to her great unease.

Just then Munim Khan arrived to tell Jalal that all preparations for the execution of Todarmal were ready. Jalal's face grew pale as did Jodha's. As Jodha went away on her way from there she thought to herself "I am as upset as Jalal about all this but Kanha you have to help. " And then she decided to look up Shehnaaz to see how she was this morning.

Meannwhile, Adham went to his mother to say "One sudden thing has come to mind. What if Jalal and Shehnaaz discover they are brother and sister and decide to be on the same side and discover that you have incarcerated Chand Begum all this while. " Maham shrugged off her son's doubt. "No fear of their ever finding out", she said rather arrogantly, "Jalal has now lost Todarmal and slowly he will lose all his men, and will only have the two of us with him, and that's when we show our colours! Soon Mahchuchak's army is to be here too to help Shehnaaz battle Jalal, did you know?"

At Agra Mahchuchak was giving departing instructions to her armies (actually Haider's armies) and was standing on the ramparts of her palace shouting and screeching at the soldiers. But even so, she had some distrust of the loyalty of these men, for she told Fazal to bodily kill any soldiers who were seen not doing their utmost for her! Haider watched all this in utter disgust!

At the prison, Zakira saw Todarmal being led off on his "last trip" and she said fervently, "Trust in God, I will also pray to him, you will be safe!" Todarmal replied "I have also prayed to my God and I have faith he will do the right thing. I trust God and accept my fate!"

Jalal was then seen touching the ""paak Koran" in his hojra and praying to God, "Please show me the way my God, for I am very uneasy about my decision. Every fibre in my body opposes the decision I have had to make. If I have done the wrong thing, please show me the way. Let not one innocent die today even if hundreds of real culprits get away."

All this kind of preparatory rev-up of the situation filled the first half of the episode ... and that's when Jodha decided to go check on Shehnaaz ... and the whole genie escaped out of the bottle!

My comments on the episode:

The episode was obviously intended to be building up towards a high climax at its second half and that tempo was well-maintained by the Director, I thought. He was intermittently showing heartfelt thoughts of Jodha and Jall mixed between action shots of Jalal's sword practice and Jodha's prayer rituals. All the while the unease mounted - and for us audiences, who were eager to see exactly how Shehnaaz would get caught, it looked as if every moment was "that" moment!

In the end I thought the way Shehnaaz actually got caught was rather tame. She just was overheard by Jodha letting slip her usual childish language for just one adult sentence she uttered cursing the bandhi, and then all hell was let loose.

The remarkable thing for me was that once Shehnaaz was unmasked by Jodha's slapping her , she then actually vomited out her full history in one go and all was on the table for Jodha and Jalal to see. There was no more intrigue left concerning her persona. That is why I got the feeling that the Creatives must have sensed the public weariness with the elongation of this track and must have decided not to make this unmasking of Shehnaaz and her subsequent actions long drawn.

What will happen now? Here's my prediction:

Now that Shehnaaz has bolted on a horse with Rahim, I expect that in today evening's episode Jalal will chase her. She may drop Rahim midway as she sees the waiting armies of Mahchuchak. and she may decide to go and Join them. Jalal will save the poor kid Rahim (dropped like a hot brick along the road) but will be aghast himself to see a whole army ranged against him outside the gates of his palace. Jodha too meanwhile may have got onto a horse to follow Jalal and she may take Rahim from him and see this battle spectacle herself.

Even as Shehnaaz keeps giving lalkaars at Jalal from the other side, Jalal will probably say "I cannot wage war against my own sister, and that too a woman". But Jodha may say "Even if you can't fight a woman, I can fight for you" ... and she may reply Shehnaaz to await her arrival as she is to fight on behalf of her husband.

And that may lead to the war scenes. Meanwhile Salima and Ruq may also don war dresses as they are inspired to help Jodha ... and Jalal may give instructions to fetch the Amer war machinery too ifor added assistance and thus he may summon Jodha's brothers to help out Jodha. (Or else maybe the Amer clan will arrive having heard rumours of Mahchuchak's army going for battle with Jalal.)

Hamida will do her usual melodrama, but the full scale war going on will drown her tremulous voice. I am quite sure she will give some dialogues like "On one side is my son and on the other side is my daughter" ... blah, blah, blah ...

Meanwhile Jalal will await the death of Shehnaaz at Jodha's hands, and the minute that happens (I think it's going to happen!), Jalal will then enter the war himself, and things will begin to change after that.

Seeing his brute leadership, the rank and file of Mahchuchak's army will fall into retreat and Jalal will win the war.

Soon after the war is over, the situation minus Shehnaaz will force Jodha and Jalal to discover Chand Begum in the surang for Hamida may say something about Maham going towards that place often. Or maybe the Gwalior Hakim will make an timely arrival and let slip that he has come for one last treatment of Chand begum at Maham's behest ... and thus unmask Maham.

If the Zee man is to be believed he also told me again in my phone call yesterday that 100% Maham would also cause the downfall of Ruq, so I wait to see in what situation Ruq also gets unmasked as a domino effect of all this systematic unmasking of Shehnaaz, Chand begum and Maham. The Zee man said that one month is the maximum for all this to happen, so I expect July to be an action packed month!

Lovely Post..Thank you.

Just like You I am eagerly waiting for Maham and Ruks exposure...Thank you for talking to zee and we still need to wait a month. anyway chalo at least they will be exposed..

Jodha may not Kill Shenu. I think Maham or Chuck Chuck Begum, one of them might be the cause. CB Begum may not be found at all. But Maham truth may come out.

For all the dumbing down of the great Mughal empire that has gone on so far, this will be a new low: An invading army has marched all way from Kabul and is now assembled near Mughal capital, but Mughals have no clue about it. :)

I don't think from Kabul the army may reach Agra so early. they will get information jalal and jodha that army is arriving and they get time to collect army support from amer and their own army get ready for the war. the war will be next week only i expect.

I was commenting on Mansi's guess, "Jalal will save the poor kid Rahim (dropped like a hot brick along the road) but will be aghast himself to see a whole army ranged against him outside the gates of his palace."

Whether it happens this way or not, I found the thought amusing, that CVs are ready to dumb down anything and everything.

Mansi nice post as usual...i always wonder how you try to find positive where we fail to...
But few things today that i am not convinced about.
There is a remote possibility of MC waiting outside the palace walls to fight Jalal cos
1) Spies of the king would be able to give information hours or days before an enemy would infiltrate the boundaries of the kingdom.
2) Considering the order being given to the army to march towards Agra just the previous night by MC , it should take if not weeks at-least a couple of days for them to reach the destination.

Again some of the spoiler picture shows Shenaz in a yellow dress like Bakshi which according to me indicates she will come to know the truth that Jalal has not kept her mother in prison much before the War. If Jalal was able to follow and catch hold of Sujamal , he should no doubt be able to handle Shenaz much earlier than that.

Dear Mansi,
Great write up for a fast paced episode yesterday and I liked your predictions .But frankly I did not like yesterdays episode a bit. I felt like the soul was missing. Day before's episode had my expectations built high on how Jodha will get to know about Shehnaaz akaa Nigaar but it was shown in a very lame way.. I mean Jodha's reaction was too meek.OK she slapped Shehnaaz but look at her..she is a warrior and how did she allow Shehnaaz to hand cuff her .Where did all the Rajvanshi strength go?She was shocked ,fine but still I felt even the scene was not done properly ..it seemed very lamely done and enacted as well n.. And Shehnaaz is holding Jodha at Knife point and yet she allows her to speak . The only dialogue which I liked was when Shehnaaz says Why do you talk so much Jodha? If you kept your mouth shut and try to judge people you would not have been in this situation today..Yes ..How correct was that..

Rahim finding those dolls after such a long time was again unbelievable.. OK I understand logic does not fit in every time.. you have to keep your brains aside when yo watch these daily soaps really.

Again I a m not bashing Jodha or Jalal but CVS make them really look dumb .. after all Jalal was Akbar "the great"

Mansi, Nice take. Hope the power is regained in your locality 😉
OK, I just want to start with the Jodha trying to light the Akhand Diya and it was not able to light it was like dramatic. See even my daughter said the same thing 'why on the earth she is trying so hard, she could have just the light baati from the other lamp into this one as even that baati was a fresh one. But anyways, that was done to so how fear for some unwanted thing is going befall on Agra and so went to Tulsi Pooja and witnessed Jalal with all the wilderness doing some practice and went up to him to give him some Prasad and without a word he took it and didn't gave her a chance to talk and tried to resume his practice session. But I really felt that was uncalled for as he was the one who gave the judgment and there was no need to show a cold shoulder to Jodha but given his condition, lets accept it as his way of showing his level of hurt and how he was unable to digest the truth that his favorite person who tried hard to help him and his sultanate is going breath his last in next few minutes and to add to his agony, Munim Khan came to alert him that all is set for the canon shot 😭😭 Though it was expected, both Jodha and Jalal flinched with the information as even must have been praying to the almighty all through the night to show some miracle and save the innocent and to punish the culprit as they being human can't look or think beyond the available (materialistic proofs). While they show Jalal telling MK that Ok, I will get ready and come, so go and wait for me" we could see Jodha bracing herself from her conflict mind by sending an apology prayer to TM by saying "I know you were a good person and also a very good friend of the King and helped him & his kingdom in many ways, but even then when you have committed a mistake, even you will have to be punished" and even with that she could get the peace back and felt aghast and said why am I feeling so restless with this punishment, please God help me out of this and decides to visit Shenu to check on her welfare. Least did she expected that she will be hit by the thunderbolt just outside the room.
Shenu was searching for something in her room and was doing a self talk, where did it go in a normal voice which alerted Jodha slightly as she could make out the voice belongs to Shenu but looked very normal and not like her usual kid voice and so she just gone up to the window and while Shenu retrieved a sharp dagger from beneath her bed cover Jodha was shocked and to give her the necessary help, one Bhandi came to Shehnaz with a plate full of food and asked Shenu to have food which shenu refused claiming she will eat that when she meet Jodha. Had Jodha not heard her previous tone, she would have smiled and would have entered immediately to feed her but something stopped Jodha from entering the hojra and after dismissing the daasi, Shenu with frustration says, " what is wrong with these people, why can't they understand ones if I refuse, why do they keep coming back to me, and to keep up my drama, I have to keep changing my voice and expression like a kid"
The floor gave part beneath Jodha's feet as she could instantly realize that TM was right about Shenu and because of her stubborn belief she (Jodha) had pushed him to the death. With rush of adrenaline, she marched to Shenu and she was a bit shocked but recovered instantly even before Jodha could make out her change in expressions and asked, Jodha you came, God can any one believe an hearsay that that she was acting, so let us give Jodha and others a benefit of doubt and forgive them for believing in her words and assuming Tm as the criminal.
Here I felt a bit let down by Jodha as she could have controlled her emotions and would have convinced Shenu to go with her to see TM being shot as he wronged her. And meanwhile she could have summoned / confined in Jalal on this and arrange to reprimand Shenu and make her spell the bean in public. With this even the people would have also been witnessed how an innocent man was accused and how the goodness of the Royal people is being misused by the miscreants. But as we know, Jodha can never control her emotions that a girl made her a big fool, so she just did what we normally do with such people that she Slapped Shenu twice and with the 3rd slap, became her captive and she was so astonished with the flow of action, that she could not even provide a proper resistance to Shenu as she declared herself as Jalal's elder sister and Chand Begum's daughter and who the primary right to sit on the Mughal throne and called as the first Begum. Jodha was shocked beyond doubt and shock when she heard Shenu is here to take revenge on Jalal for he had kept her mother captive to have the undivided Sultanate. When she tries to enlighten Shenu about Jalal being innocent and has been trying to unearth her mother, she doesn't buy it and covers Jodha's mouth with a piece of cloth and says, why do you talk so much, if you were silent you would not have been in this condition today. So she preaches Jodha about how to live and lead a life to be safe. Wow, what a great piece of advise😊
On the otherside we saw Jalal who is ready to go to the site where TM was supposed to be blasted, feels uncomfortable and prays to God yet again to show him a way with which he can justify his judgment and cries that he don't care even 100s of criminals escape the punishment, he doesn't wish to be the reason for innocents life. Poor Jalal I felt so sorry for him in that one moment and even before he could get revere from his agony, Rahim runs to him with the beheaded dolls which have been snatched from him by Shenu and for those Rahim would have lost his life by falling down. Initially Jalal was not in a mood to continue his talks with Rahim as he had to complete his duty as king, so all he says is that Ok, leave it, we will get you new once and the child is not ready to accept any replacement, so he insists that he want them onlya s they were his Shehenshah and Choti Ammi Jan. With in fraction of second, Jalal was stunned with the realization that Shenu infact is planning to hurt his Jodha along with him. So he sprint towards Shenu's room to take her to his custody but what did he witness there shocked him to death. His life was already in the clutches of the witch and she had kept a knife to his wife's neck and warned him not to take her lightly and not to be over smart and if he does something stupid, he will lose his most favorite wife. And in that precise moment, Jodha managed to loosen the cloth covered her mouth and revealed the real identity of Shenu as his elder sister and daughter of CB and she wrongly assumed that you have abducted her mother but Shenu didn't gave them any time to recover and just marches out by pushing Jodha towards Jalal and ran out and grabbed the petite Rahim who would have eating dates. Poor kid, but I had this inclination that if all the BEKs were tofight the war, then it must have something to do with either HB or Rahim and I was much sure about Rahim as I heard that even Salima Begum will be seen in war field. If not for her son, how can we expect a peace loving SB on the war field. If not for Rahim or HB, why will Ruku get into war field.
I don't think the Mahac's army has reached the Agra fort yet as we heard they have reached the boarder of Punjab, so may be Amer people will get to know about this army march even before the news reaches Agra. So may be they will try to stop them there and meanwhile would have sent messenger to Jalal with the information and a request for additional Army support. So may Jalal will be in dilemma on what he should do at the moment as one side the lives of the people living in border villages was at stake and on the other side, Rahim has been abducted by his own sister who is planning to avenge her revenge on Jalal.
So may be at this point of time, Jodha, Salima & ruku will take the decision to fight Nigar and advise Jalal to concentrate on the border where thousands of lives are in danger. Jodha might swear in to save Rahim even if it is at the cost of her life and so may be Ruku and Salima. So we can see a united women army which might shock Maham and I hope she doesn't get herself into this army of ladies and try to do some damage to the force.

I don't think the Kabul Army has reached Agra yet. They were still on Punjab border and even before they reach Agra, they will be stopped for sure.
