That's quite funny , Ruqaiya never goes against Jalal's decision , really ? Ok ! Let's put it aside for now ! What the inconvenience and disturbing in praising Ruqaiya ? Why you guys take it as lowering Jodhaa session ? "This isn't any new scenario" , even we despise her character more and more these days , we are staying in our limits to criticize her indirectly , maturely , within any offense , but if you really insist to have a new scenario in lowering her then I would not only build up ONE scenario but many , like here your passage of 'though Jo has done mistake for her misjudgement" and just after 'anyways' 😆😆 That narrative ellipse to hide and speed up upon her misdeeds , like it's a light and fragile misjudgement to accuse and blame an honorable man like Todarmal Sahab for rape , for molestation , like it's a light and fragile misjudgement to wrong a man , his relatives and family whom open handly offer you their generosity and hospitality and just after you complain against one of them for rape and stand up against your hubby and that person for a recently met , stranger girl , disgracing his self respect and dignity by insulting him infront of whole court meanwhile when herself one is at stake and her hubby even tries to reference and insinuate something over it , make a drama and scandal , accusing that man without any strong and stable prouves , without any baseful and standable standard , fivkle words , baseless and meaningless 'HUMNE USE SHEHNAZ KI DUPATTA KO KICHE HUE DEKHA" , only what she saw , what she though , how she linked and then she deduced , without any investigations further and of course now Jodhaa will be the one to sort out this issue and of course Todarmal will thank her and of course those insults and humiliations sessions are going to be absorbed in air , of course otherwise is there any dignity and shame left to Jodhaa to face his wife , to face Todarmal himself , to face Jalal ? She insulted and lowered him to an extent that his wife has came at her feet not to apologize , but to make her realize that she is AT FAULT , she is MISTAKEN , yes , for the first time the MAHANTA DEVI made a mistake ! That's such a light and fragile misjudgement right to bring an innocent man's wife at your feet , influencing incorrectly her hubby who believes her for the sake of love and her past so called 'great deeds' , and if Jalal came to do it then he is a PRICK , and all imaginable terms and names to call and bash him ! Why we have to make lighter misdeeds of the character we love and why to make it heavier for one whom we despise ?

No one has forced you to do so and dear you could have said it in a better way because the offending side is quite visible though even the way you clashed up in short at first 'less said about Ruks better it is' , I tolerated it and respond you in a good manner even I was well aware that you were expressing your profound dislike toward my post ! Thanks for this good resolution , and sorry for waisting your time atleast I will not get to repeat it , i have to say this much !

1. Ruq snubbed MA and MA made Jalal shout at Ruqaiya in DEK. I thought Ruqaiya would show some displeasure or atleast defend her decision in private. Her decision to let Jalal have much-needed rest instead of having him rush to MA's summons, was good. She didn't know a man's life was at stake neither MA conveyed the reason for her urgency as such. So, the shouting on her in DEK was pretty much uncalled for. Ruq, as BEK and Mughal princess, should have showed her displeasure but in a polite way. Instead she rushes to Jalal's hamamkhana to check his temper. She submits (she didn't apologize, a little gutsy 😉) and doesn't defend her decision at all She is afraid of Jalal and fears losing power over him. That is why the meek behavior. But she does extract a promise from Jalal to never attack her in public or leave her 😉 Did any of this makes Ruqaiya seem gutsy?

2. She supported Jalal in his (and MA's) decision to declare war on BK. Two reasons for this:

(i) She wanted more power over Jalal.

(ii) She doesn't have the guts to oppose Jalal and prefers joining the winning camp than remain with her family.

Also, she promptly left when Jalal started crying over BK's death.

These are the only two events I remember. Won't be surprised if there are more.

1. Jalal leaving his throne for his promise to Jodha.

2. Shivani-MH marriage.

3. Jalal letting go Jo lightly post tiger attack.

4. Jalal's appointment of TM.

Again, there are more but i can only remember these. The good days of JA have started fading out for me now 😆🤢

The CVs and EK have sadly reduced her to this. I dislike this Ruqaiya. She is shown to have no life beyond badmouthing directly or indirectly about Jodha 🤢 She gets a good dialogue here and there which redeems her for many, in that episode. Atleast this is more than what JJ get

LOL. If something has remained consistent in Ruqaiya's characterization since the starting of the serial, is Ruq's selfishness. She does care for others (read: Jalal, Rahim, HB, GB etc) but not before herself. Not that it's a sin, but she takes things a little too far. Always looks for her gains (and Jodha's losses) in every situation before giving a viewpoint or acting on a thought. If it doesn't concern her interests or if Jodha is already in distress, she is most likely to give that situation a pass and smoke her hukkah.

I am glad you replied to me. But I don't think I will respond further. You asked me why I had such an opinion of Ruqaiya, I have given you the reasons and incidents from the show to support my view. The last thing i want to get into is Ruq vs Jodha debate which hardly ever ends, as neither party wants to listen or give a thought to what the other person has to say. So, lets love the characters we love, ignore the ones we hate and comment on those we are little doubtful about albeit tactfully 😉
