The highest TRP in the Vishkanya week was not only because of Jalal's tears but also because Ekta's heroine was once again shown being the self sacrificing woman for a heartless husband. Jalal has rained bucket of tears in the past two months but it has not helped the ratings one bit.
Whatever they show, Jodha has to be the central point because of the popularity of the character. Just don't take my word for it, there are surveys available and news articles which show that. The character Jodha is the TRP puller but that should not take anything away from Jalal. I mean in which other serial does a man even have a role other than being a part of the scenery. Jalal is a complex, strong character superbly played by RT.
Not one single decent show on Akbar(other than that ridiculous program on Doordarshan) has come in the past 50 years. Why, because very few people are interested in history, people want romance, drama and intrigue. JA, the movie, and the serial do just that.
So, to expect wars or all the navrattans or policy making of Akbar is waiting for something which is never going to happen. It is too boring for most people.
And this serial has more child viewers than Bal Veer which airs at the same time. Do not expect any more physicality to the romance.
So like I said its AkDha that sells 😆 Not Jodha the mahaan devi and not Jalal the so called heartless husband individually. The crying of Jalal sold in the Vishkanya track because people saw Jodha's love for Jalal with her poison drinking and Jalal's love for Jodha in him crying and praying for her... Jodha was sleeping all throughout the 4-5 episodes after the poison drinking... lets give credit where credit is due please, Jalal's tears got the highest TRPs because that was him expressing his love for Jodha... show being Jodha Akbar, an Epic Love Story 😊
The barsaat of tears did not sell in the last couple of months coz the show was going through its millionth MU between JaJo and we had a Jodha showing zero signs of love... And nobody likes seeing the Hero, the Male, Shehenshah Akbar crying bucketfuls of tears every other second. 😭
😆 Jodha supposedly remains the central point coz its an EK show and all her heroines remain so doing everything for everybody and then being haloed for it. Also no I do not see Jodha being the central point in every track.. mention any track and I can tell you that Jalal who was the central point with Jodha like every EK heroine solving it all and getting credits. Its Jalal's reactions to every scene, every track that get the story moving forward. 😊
Do TRP audience take part in these surveys???? We all know how trustworthy news articles are, lets not even go there. 😆 If we are talking about TRP audiences then these surveys don't matter. If we are talking about online audience well then the top 10 JA vids there are the vishkanya track, badal kajri and Jalal's 4th April outburst 😆It's an immense credit and proof of the popularity and necessity of Jalal's character that even after every track having his character butchered he also stands tall as the top 5 fictional characters on TV. 😊
PRC was a popular show I believe, I did not watch but it seems to be, MP is also a popular show did it not come in the top 5 in the TRPs recently?... manyyy people are interested in history... every genre has an audience available but the historical should be shown beautifully and the actors playing them should be majestic 😊
Why can't we expect wars in a show about Akbar? Were there surveys done too about people not liking war scenes? We do not want a war everyday but once every 2-3 months at least??? Better than harem politics na. What's wrong in expecting the navratnas when Tansen, Maan Singh and Todarmal have been shown so far?? Also whats wrong in expecting other policies that Jalal does himself without any prompting from anybody when policies are brought about to glorify Jodha in some way e.g. Abolishing of Child Marriage, Slavery and Pilgrimage Tax. Jalal can be glorified too na sometimes, would keep people like me wanting history in a historical and logic in a historical happy 😆
The true test of JA starts now... with the SR done.. with the pinnacle of a couple coming together done something that many were waiting for, NOW people will expect something worthwhile in the show and just the heroine running around playing detective and the hero who just happens to be Akbar with nothing to do, with no passion/no romance will not cut it anymore. Passion is not all about the physical 😆 Nobody wants them going at it 24*7... but there was a time even when their eyelocks used to be passionate, nothing wrong in us expecting that passion now that the love confessions are done with. 😊
